Should we be thanking JJ Watt for not choosing Buffalo?
Jerome007 replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall
I loooove JJ Watt but I didn't want him simply because of salary cap considerations. No other reason but of course a big one - and recall that Josh's contract hadn't been signed yet. Rousseau and others are a great bonus ha ha, but no one could foresee that. -
Oh yeah thousands of other applicants have the resume of Gruden 🙄. I love how pro-censorship people justify it to themselves every which way as the 'cause' is so just as to justify any means. You know it's all about not shocking anyone, not any actual crime committed here? Yet his punishment will be way worse than those that did, and violent ones at that. But hey, it's just "moral relativism" to point this, right? Stealing gas is the same as raping and killing? Oh yeah, I forgot, it's not a legal case here, so who cares, ban the man for life. BTW, you know that all the suspensions, even if related to crime, were not in a way part of a legal process either? BTW I wouldn't want Gruden as a coach for the Bills, didn't care at all for his commenting, but that was because my respect of his skills were not very high. I seem to "defend" him now it's because I can't stand this PC mob justice, media fed at that, that's partial and strangely only applies to a certain group and not others. I wish none of it existed BTW, not that it'd be applied to all! It can affect all of us, and the ones not getting censored now wil get their turn later if the string pullers decide so. Re-edit: if you fire him for being a pouty mouth, insulting the commissioner and very specific people, having made an anti-gay remark, all things that look bad and unprofessional for the Raiders organization he is head coach for, fine. But it goes way beyond, now he is accused of being a bigot, racist, misogynic, and all that crap. Sorry, but his track record and even his remarks don't point to that. Complete overkill, yet again, when it's these subject matters.

Approve censorship if you want. I don't. These emails were so dumb my head hurts ha ha, but they were still made to be private, and while he does make antigay remarks, that's true, most of the other supposedly racists or antiwomen stuff is pouty mouth football/sports talk, stuff that's being going on forever just a few years back in sports, certainly in his days. Dumb? Oh yes. Now that it's public, he had to "resign"? Sure. But banned from all future announcing jobs, analyst, advisor, coaching, etc. for life? Nope, I don't agree, at all.

Yeah, reading kicking a woman in the head while she was on the floor seems quite the crime, but it wasn't that bad. He got the right punishment. Gruden will likely never work in any shape or form in anything NFL related unless he starts his online blog etc. Total overkill punishment. I just saw a great Steve Tasker interview, and one of the peeps asking questions AND praising him with obvious respect is Keyshawn Johnson. Remember him and his BOOK that includes racial innuendos against his White teammate? Talk about bad. A book. Worse than emails that were meant to be private. Yet, he still played, had a super career, can work in football still.. as it should be. Punishments must fit the crimes.

No YOU missed my point. He does deserve some punishment, I wrote that. But not PERMANENT BANISHMENT from all things football related! That's why I used the other incidents, as these dudes got suspended... but not for LIFE, and not in every possible aspect. If you don't think that's overkill, that's on you.

Since my first language is Québécois, I should use some TABARNAK to spice up the crowd experience ha ha At home, I'm bad. In the stadium, I've mostly behaved. I have kids so I get it ha ha. When the fins were visiting the Bills years ago, some guys in the crowd, AFTER a win no less. were throwing empty beer cans at a dude in a fish tshirt walking out with his about 5 yo son. Talk about overkill.

"Fans" can be such fairweather fickle creatures. In cases of Star, at first it was his pay compared to production, and then just his play. This year he is a BEAST. Fine that fans change gears when the player suddenly performs so much better. Just like Klein in the first half odf 2020 compared to since. Night and day. Knox would be a good example though ha ha. Or Edmunds. Or... Best example would be the "Bad Josh selected" crowd ha ha.
-
A common thread for lots of us. As for me, it's that my kids are 10 hours away now. I actually traveled to watch the opener and the KC game with them. Still, it sucks watching the Bills without them. Not permanent like losing someone that passed away. But of course we all want to share good times. As a Bills fans, it sure is good times right now

Gruden was an idiot for writing, WRITING, and sending, those emails. But he used... words. He didn't kill anyone, beat anyone, whip his kids, steal, kill dogs, whatever. Does he deserve some punishment? Sure. But now it fully looks like he will be completely banished from the NFL world forever. No coaching, no TV, no announcing, nothing. All over words. And it was mainly him being a pouty mouth using locker room talk. I see some antigay stuff, but no racism or misogynism. Calling someone a pu ssy, f a gg ot, or saying a dude has fat lips, does NOT make you the worst criminal of all time, deserving of eternal exile. Ridiculous.

Diggs all year and now Beasley for the last games (first 3 games he had LOTS of catches) are not as targeted as last year. It's almost weird. But let's recall yesterday Josh only completed 15 passes! He got insane yardage out of very few passes. I admit I'm surprised Beasley has not been targeted more on short 3rd down plays, that's always been his bread and butter. Yes Davis is good, but he does not fil the same role as Cole, more like Sanders. Can fans actually NOT want someone off the team? LOL. Let the Bills win the Superbowl THIS season, will you?

Collinsworth was almost impossible to listen to.
Jerome007 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes he is a biased mofo, and was again. But for this he was right. Oliver hit low, that's a no no, while KC's guy pulled away, he had his arms behind his back ha ha. Still, Morse call just previous was awfu,. Diggs no call, PI against Tre... without any comment on that sense. -

Jerome007 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even I felt that the roughing call was awful... not even satisfied with it EXCEPT for the fact that it just negated the previous awful holding call against Morse. Both were ridiculous but evened out so all was good. -
Offensive linemen love run plays for a reason. Instead of an overall more passive protecting role, they can maul and smash. They usually outweigh opponents, but not outspeed them, and on run plays they get to use that edge. It gives them the initiative too, as they know what they'll do, the snap count, etc. While on pass plays, defenses can blitz, cross, and all that way more, and the OL has to react. You need it to run out the clock, when the weather's bad, and just to make life miserable for others. No one wants to get behind on the Ravens and get mauled ha ha. But of course, in today's NFL, the pass game is mandatory, while running is not. It still is important though. And the Bills have been doing it lately, at last. Hell, the Chiefs can do it too, which sucks ha ha.

I soooo would like to see Milano play, but if there's even a small chance that injury could turn bad, rest him for 3 weeks, coming back after the Bye. Limited role sounds better than no play... except for this type of injury. And yes, some posters will RIGHTFULLY say he is not injury prone as before last year, he wasn't. Maybe he is now, but it's again a take some fans are repeating as gospel. If you take last year and now this, it does look like they're right but that's not saying much ha ha.

Jets give D-lineman with 6 career starts $55m
Jerome007 replied to 1ManRaid's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, it seems then it's a normal, decent contract then. Sadly, not the Jets being desperate and bursting their salary cap. Oh well. Bills will beat them regardless. -

Party pooper ha ha. If the contract is indeed like that, then it makes sense, and we don't want that. But your take seems to clash with the $30.2m guaranteed unless it's all front loaded. -

Good video but missing his antics ha ha, and mostly the "escorting" the Texans player all the way to the sidelines -
So what is the Defensive Gameplan?
Jerome007 replied to Straight Hucklebuck's topic in The Stadium Wall
Has there ever been a more hyped 2-2 team? They are in the Top 3 of most power rankings while last in their division. And you know what? I agree with it all ha ha. As mentioned, the Bills OFFENSE has to outpace them. Our D has to be ready mentally. After 2 shutouts in 4 games, and 4 great performances overall, they must play hard no matter if the Chiefs score at will, keep trying to stop them and make big plays. -
What was up with Beasley today?
Jerome007 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been 100% behind him, but he needs to lay low on social media and focus on his craft. He'll get unwanted media attention regardless but he's making it worse. So far, only a complete biased moron would say it has impacted his play, he had 3 solid games! But he was not much involved in the gameplan last Sunday. Let him and the others roast the Chiefs and everything will be rosy again -
43 % and 38 % of snaps. I didn't see him much nor Apenesa, but because it seems they didn't play a lot. Star has been having himself some great games this year. And when was the last time a Bills DL tackled the running back as soon as he was handed the ball? That was awesome. Oliver did it and Hughes was like one step behind ha ha. Impressive.

I'm not kidding or using sarcasm. I really heard "beeeaaaasss" all this time, not booing. So... which is true? It would suck big time if fans are booing him! Edit: and from other posts, it seems it's beeeaassss all right. The Bruce analogy is a good one ha ha. But yeah, I did notice he and Josh were not on the same page going to the huddle, and he only caught his first ball late in the game. Very strange. Hopefully a temporary thing. Cole can't be mad for the first 3 games as he was targeted a lot and it shows. -

Now now. I'm taller though still a shorty compared to him. I don't think he was singling out all 5" 10 guys. Just the one trying to mouth off to him. But that went right over your head -

So true. Look at the video on the "Superb Josh Allen analysis by J. T. O'Sullivan" thread. Ford seems beat on every play shown, but Josh just sidesteps the rusher and throws a dime. Even he can't avoid 3+ free rushers but otherwise he makes it look easy indeed. 5 TDs, no INTs in that game...
