  1. Good points, but EJ Gaines was not anything near a shut down CB. I'll grant that he was in the top 40%, but 'shut down' is quite a stretch.
  2. I agree with the OP, but force is mass times acceleration, not velocity. M x V = Momentum You'd be getting TD returns like crazy! Think about all that open field!
  3. What principle is he standing for? The one that says you should bulldoze your career if some event over which you have no control and has nothing to do with you doesn't turn out as you wanted.
  4. Good to hear! I know you can always have a lot of sunshine blown up your u no where about the rookies every year. Oh this guy looks great and then he turns out to be terrible. Let's hope for the sake of this franchise that he wows us when the games count.
  5. That is his strength. He's better at the longer stuff than the dink and dunk throws.
  6. It seems the folks at PFF don't think very highly of our draft at all. Your response? The Bills review starts at about 2:45 in from the start.
  7. I'd be thrilled if he were just average. It would be a major improvement. Can he play 4-3 OLB? I think he's too big. Since when is he an "excellent edge setter"? I have yet to hear about Shaq's run defense prowess anywhere other than these forums. No one seems to think he's very special. They even signed Trent Murphy to replace him.
  8. His stats will be terrible and he'll take a ton of sacks. In fact, whoever is back there will take a ton of sacks. Our WR's are the league's worst at gaining separation and our OL is a horror story. On top of that, we won't be able to run well. Allen will have to prove to me that his inaccuracy can be fixed. According to PFF, his accuracy even in short areas were much less accurate than most college QB's. I'm pulling for a turnaround there, but I have my doubts. The good news is that we still have all of our 2019 draft picks and will have a ton of money to spend on FA's next year so we can fix these problems.
  9. With or without Jones we need help and speed. Jones has only been 1 misfortune after another. I'm really starting to wonder if he's just gonna be another James Hardy. WR, OL and also RB/TE will have to wait til next offseason when we'll have much more to spend.
  10. And then there are those very disturbing accusations after the playoff game which no one seems to remember.
  11. He may stay retired, but would another team give him a better offer?
  12. I am fine if KB is the 2nd best WR on the roster as long as #1 has speed to burn as well as other positive attributes. Having Jones mature as a 3rd WR would help a lot too. In 2019 there will be a relatively expensive FA starting opposite KB anyways. I expect the TE position and OL to look very different as well.
  13. I used my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice.
  14. This is a joke. Mills is barely starter caliber. That pic has been altered. Mills did not play well last year. He did not run block particularily well. He could be very easily replaced.
  15. RIP Ground Chuck.
  16. Letting Lamonica go, then watching him take the Raiders to the SB. Even the decision to start Kemp over Lamonica was wrong.
  17. Buh Bye Shaq and let's not be in a hurry to offload last year's starting RT even if he is bad. No one has shown that they are any better. Our OL is a total mess right now. I just pray that kid they drafted at G in round 5 turns out to be the steal of the draft. We also need a miracle at WR. Someone has to step up. At least we'll have 3-4 new faces at WR to look at. I hope you're right about Logan Thomas. If we had 2 solid TE's, that would take some of the sting out of not having a speed WR.
  18. No. He's better than Ward or anyone else we could have taken there.
  19. Keep looking for the gm/hc that keeps the team winning. Once you find them, pay them every penney they're worth. Hopefully that day is soon for both teams.
  20. My concern with this is that whoever we start at QB is going to take a LOT of sacks. 2 best starters gone and a veteran C and we've done practically nothing to stop the bleeding. And who will he throw to? I know we were never going to plug all the holes in 1 offseason, but let's try not to get Allen killed so quickly. That noted, he has shown steady improvement and a great Sr Bowl. He might be ready for this offense before it's ready for him.
  21. Good question. He has to make more of a difference than a guy we could have taken at 65. Considering that we got Phillips at 96, I'd say we gave up a day 1 starter on the OL or at WR or OLB to add 1 better player. Some guy on NFL Network was all over this move, though. He said he had Edmunds as his #1 LB and a top 4 prospect. We could have nailed down a starting spot for some time to come. No matter. I say Edmunds will make us forget the lost pick and be the beast we are told he is.
