  1. Keep looking for the gm/hc that keeps the team winning. Once you find them, pay them every penney they're worth. Hopefully that day is soon for both teams.
  2. My concern with this is that whoever we start at QB is going to take a LOT of sacks. 2 best starters gone and a veteran C and we've done practically nothing to stop the bleeding. And who will he throw to? I know we were never going to plug all the holes in 1 offseason, but let's try not to get Allen killed so quickly. That noted, he has shown steady improvement and a great Sr Bowl. He might be ready for this offense before it's ready for him.
  3. Good question. He has to make more of a difference than a guy we could have taken at 65. Considering that we got Phillips at 96, I'd say we gave up a day 1 starter on the OL or at WR or OLB to add 1 better player. Some guy on NFL Network was all over this move, though. He said he had Edmunds as his #1 LB and a top 4 prospect. We could have nailed down a starting spot for some time to come. No matter. I say Edmunds will make us forget the lost pick and be the beast we are told he is.
  4. If AJ wins the starting job by playing great, so be it. I hope they both turn out great and we can have 2 first round picks again next year by trading 1 of them away for a guy like OBJ or Antonio Brown. Hmmm... Maybe both.
  5. I thought the Bills might have traded Hughes on draft weekend to move up as a possible scenario, but the Bills have kept Hughes and added Murphy -- both capable starting DE's in the NFL. So what is the plan for the underachieving Shaq Lawson? Will they try him out at Sam LB in place of the aging Lorenzo Alexander? Will he be a 1st round bench warmer? Will they try to deal him or save him?
  6. I think Hughes benefits tremendously. Also, by the end of the season, Harrison Phillips will be the best DT on our roster. 100+ tackles in 14 games from the NT position at Stanford! He will be VERY successful and will remain a long time Bill and fan favorite. And Taron is the starting Nickel Back. I like that pick. We still need another CB outside because of Davis' age, but we'll have plenty of money to spend next year to plug holes. Looking forward to seeing the OL upgraded. I hope Allen and Edmunds were worth trading up because we could have drafted a new starting C and G with those 2nd round picks.Still need an OLB to replace Lo soon as well as a speed receiver.
  7. What I'd do for the entire uniform is add a bright yellow to the existing color scheme -- red, white, blue and yellow. Using all 3 colors where there are stripes. Yellow bar across streaking buffalo on helmet.
  8. Let's hope Allen vs. Darnold is THE matchup to watch for the next 20 years! I'm down.
  9. I'm guessing she's been looking over Russ Brandon's shoulder for a while now. She has the easy job. Beating the other 31 teams to the Lombardi Trophy is the hard part.
  10. The mental aspect of the game is clearly most important -- anticipation, seeing the field, making quick decisions, reading defenses, etc. Even without a great arm you can win a lot of games at QB just by salvaging a few bad plays and connecting on the easy ones. Just ask Bob Griese and the undefeated Miami Dolphins. Allen may not be as good as Griese, but he could also turn out much, much better.
  11. He's only a junior too. He and Edmunds will grow up in the NFL. 3 years from now they'll be the heart of a very good team.
  12. Well, if all the guys we drafted in rounds 1-5 are studs, then we look good.
  13. I know that didn't work with EJ, bur I've heard that his work over the past few months has already helped his accuracy. Let's hope so because he will be given every possible chance to succeed.
  14. The shoulder injury and lack of mobility compared to Allen. Arm strength too. Rosen is best in the short to medium range.
  15. No one knows what Allen's ceiling is going to be, but imagine if we had drafted our QB in the 3rd or 4th round. People would be asking why we didn't draft Allen when we had the chance. Also, everyone seems to forget he's only a junior. Edmunds is 19. We may have to wait a bit to see how good both of them are. Patience.
  16. I really hope Foster is a diamond in the rough. World class speed is nice to have outside. Especially if you just drafted a QB with a cannon on his shoulder. Bombs away!
  17. They are swinging for the fences with guys that have freakish abilities that can be honed into game changing performance. Both 1st rounders need coaching up, but their ceilings arer off the charts.
  18. I don't care who the #%€$ Josh Allen is being compared to because in the end it's nearly all going to come downt to JA. Josh Allen isn't JP Losman. He's not anyone else, so I'll just sit back and hope he will be great. He's one of us now. Let's hope so!
  19. OT, Interior OL, WR, TE. Let McCarron take his lumps while JA learns his technique and NFL defenses. When Allen takes the field I want him protected and with enough targets to keep the opposition guessing. We'll be lucky if we get a 4th starting caliber playor. I'd like them to draft multiple OL and maybe even a P or CB or OLB.
  20. Assuming Allen is our franchise QB, we've drafted 3 solid starters so far.
  21. I thought they'd go OL, but too many OL gone already and what a great value!
  22. I thought they'd draft Rosen too, but now Allen is a Bill. I hope he hits that very high ceiling and stays stuck to it for the next 20 years. I won't lie, though. I've heard the phrase "accuracy issues" way too often since Kelley retired. Man, I hope he makes it because he is going to need a LOT of coaching up for a top 10 pick. He seems to lack the mental part of the game, so hopefully he can improve there. The 'way off target' throws need to disappear too. Those are at high risk for turnovers. Also, Allen doesn't have anyone to throw to and probably won't until next year. Ditto for blocking in front of him. Let AJ take the hits.
  23. None of us make a living evaluatingQB's. I'll give him a chance. If he reaches his ceiling, it will be long remembered as the day the franchise's fate turned. Let's hope so because we've made our moves.
