  1. He might be. He does have accuracy/footwork issues, but posesses everything else in spades. He sees the field well, has crazy speed and arm strength and good awareness in the pocket. If his innacuracy were above avg, he'd be excellent. I'm just worried about his arm. Can it be fixed or will be another EJ Manuel?
  2. Our ONLY really good DL? Well if we want to completely suck on D and push Frazier to leave, OK. BTW, you can't just put all of our problems on Hughes who drew a lot of attention and played the run very well in 2017. He had almost NO help out there on the DL. Kyle was avg, Lawson was well below avg and the rest of our DT's are disgustingly bad. Let's try surrounding him with talent and see how it goes. If you want to trade underperformers, start with Shaq.
  3. Bradford has health issues, but we don't need him forever. Also, when healthy, he can be well above avg. Keenum will want a sizeable deal for several years, but if we draft a guy in the top 5 we eat a lot of dead money if that pick becomes the starter. Slim pickings for DL and OT help in FA? Poe is above avg, but the 2 former Jets have motivation issues and we all know how Beane feels about that, right Marcel? The departure of Glenn means both our OL and DL are in crisis mode. I'm tired of hearing the words "good enough" when talking about filling holes like C. Groy is a career backup for a reason. I think we can't worry about drafting skill players (pending FA moves) until our lines are fixed. I know Norwell is a long shot, but I really hope we can get him. Star L has playing like a backup. No thanks. One rookie I'd like to see is Dalton Schultz, but with all the deficiencies elsewhere, I don't see him as an option. Great blocker! I'd love to see an upgrade opposite T White, but EJ is a tick above avg, so resigning him may be our best option for the time being. After White, there's a big drop off in talent to Gaines and another big drop off again, depending on Davis' recovery. I don't know what we'll do about LB, but that's another very weak area as well. And now Beane and McD will go do exactly what no one expects LOL.
  4. I can't imagine Kyle being anywhere above avg any more. Offer him a job as asst DL Coach so he can learn from Frazier and McD.
  5. And there are 31 other teams trying to win the SB which makes the odds 3.125%. Should we just stop trying? At some point you have to take a chance. I doubt our next franchise QB is going to be handed over.
  6. Trubisky is already a bust? Maybe you could give him a little more time???
  7. Saying that a QB from college X can't be good because some other QB(s) from that same college wasn't good is a nonsensical argument. The logic fails. This is just common sense. I have no idea if Darnold will be good or not, but it has nothing what so ever to do with Sanchez or anyone else who's ever played QB for the Trojans. We're talking about different people. Let's just have 1 HUGE QB thread! It will have like a gazillion posts, but at least no one will complain, right? LOL
  8. If they trade up, I could see a guy like Darnold, Rosen or Mayfield starting year 1. I could also see them holding onto picks 21 and 22 and taking whoever falls to them, then grabbing a guy like White on day 2. That gives them, perhaps a better chance of finding a long term solution. The plot thickens! I'm genuinely surprised that we got pick 65 for Tyrod too. He's going to have a solid supporting cast in Cleveland also.
  9. Quality OT's are rare these days and Glenn was very good a while back. If they think his foot will be OK after the 2nd surgery, they need to keep him.
  10. They aren't bringing Sammy back. Solder is an average OT. Graham is not elite, but still pretty darn good. Lotulelei is a below average DT and a huge disappointment -- Stay away! Keenum is a 1 hit wonder. He may still be good from here on out, but I don't see anything special there.
  11. The players don't know what they are protesting? That has to be the dumbest post I've read in all of my years posting on Bills' boards. Here's a clue. They know WAY better then you. Quoting Jefferson the slave owner on civil rights? That's rich.
  12. Hmmm... Give the Giants our best DL (by far) and leave the entire DL a huge gaping wound? Not sure I'm liking this plan. Trade Shaq instead.
  13. I don't think Evans would help very much. His best days are behind him. Poe is still an above average DT and would help stop the bleeding at DT. Moncrief is no better than what we already have, IMO. Ellerbe isn't great either, but LB is another big black hole on this roster, so any help at LB is a good thing. What about Ladarius Green or Pitta? O'Leary has been a disappointment. A solid #2 TE would be a nice addition.
  14. If I were Sammy, I wouldn't want to stay in LA. They don't even throw him the ball. Go somewhere where they'll throw to you once in a while Sammy.
  15. Translation: We're going to fix other problems first and worry about RB when Shady's deal is up.
  16. They say that the improvement from year 1 to year 2 is often the biggest leap a player makes in his career. My take: White: He's already elite or borderline elite. It's scary to think he could get even better, but a small jump wouldn't be out of the question. Jones: By far the biggest disappointment. His hands aren't as bad as many think. He just seems a bit lost at times and doesn't get separation. The game needs to slow down for him and his route running needs to improve by orders of magnitude. If he can just make a big improvement in his route running, he'd be an above average WR. He has the physical tools. Dawkins: He was praised by PFF for his run blocking, but not so much his pass blocking. He needs to be moved to the right side. If his pass protection can improve, he could be a real asset. His footwork is fine, but his hands need to improve. Milano: He's not great, but he did make some big plays for us. One thing I like about him is that he has made steady progress. I would expect him to be an average or maybe even above average LB in year 2. Vallejo: Not much to say about him. He still has a long way to go. Peterman: Unlike some Bills fans, I'm willing to forget that horrible 1st start in the NFL. He could still be a solid backup if he can learn not to panic when the heat is on. Your thoughts on these guys?
  17. They already have a better QB than Cousins, IMO. I want the Broncos or Jets to sign him so we have the option of trading up, if McBeane wants to.
  18. I was really hoping we could get Lawrence here, but that was too optimistic, I guess. I don't even want Landry AT ALL.
  19. I like his strength and mean streak. If he falls to us in the 2nd, then I'm going to be very happy.
  20. That could be, but I'm OK with it foir now because we have so many other holes to fill in the front 7, CB, OL and WR. Oh yeah, and QB!!!
  21. His pocket awareness is, from what I've read, his achilles heel. He reminds me of Bledsoe in that regard. I'd be ok if the Bills took a guy like LJackson in the 1st and doubled down with White.
  22. These analytics are a tool that the Pegulas should invest in for the Bills and especially the Sabres. Like all tools, there are limitations, but I'd love for someone to develop a very sophisticated tool using game theory to help McD hone his clock mgmt skills.
