  1. Well he had an excellent day. 74% completion percentage. Over 300 yards passing, over 50 running. 2 TD's passing and 1 rushing. 127 passer rating.
  2. Yeah, there are a lot of fans who take it personally when the coach is vague in press conferences or won't answer certain questions. I love it, personally. Fulfill your media obligations and give up as little information as humanly possible. Make it so opposing teams don't even bother listening. I wouldn't even mind if McDermott came out there and answered every question with "I'm just here so I don't get fined".
  3. I'm assuming they can add the 5th year option and tack everything onto the end of his existing contract, right?
  4. Miami was supposedly a good defense too and we murdered them.
  5. The Bills will still get at least 8 or 9 possessions regardless of what the Colts do. If they score TD's on half of those, that's still 28 points. This isn't the 90's. I think Bills fans need to let go of that loss to the Giants. It has no bearing on this game.
  6. That first video is excellent. Really enjoyed it.
  7. How did you figure out that talking to your friend was unlucky?
  8. I'll laugh if he is inactive for the game.
  9. I can't see a new coach or GM trading him. Watson is literally the only attractive thing about taking those jobs. So you're telling me they will come in and then trade the only good thing they have to build around?
  10. He seemed smart. He had success as a coordinator. I was a little concerned that he was defensive minded rather than offensive minded, but he seemed like a step above the crappy hires I was used to (I hated the Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone, and Rec Ryan hires, even though I forced myself into hoping for the best with them). The more I read about him the more I liked him. He seemed very hard working, well prepared, and also just seemed like a good, humble guy. His ability to turn around the defense so fast, especially with the Poyer and Hyde signings, had me confident that at least he was a really good defensive mind. All in all, it was not hard for me to jump on board. He is the opposite of a coach like Rex Ryan. Rex is the type of coach I hate. All bluster and buffoonery, no substance, lazy, and too proud and stubborn to change and progress. I love McDemott's approach to building a culture of a loving brotherhood where the guys truly care about each other, but also everyone works hard and prepares themselves well.
  11. He ends it by saying "this is the play that proves he is ready to be a head coach", but I don't get that sentiment. Calling plays and designing schemes is the job of a coordinator, not a head coach. So what he really means is that this play shows that Daboll is good at his current job. Being a head coach has much less to do with schemes and play calling. Not saying Daboll isn't ready to be a head coach, but this play call doesn't have anything to do with that. The Colts DON'T have a top defense. They've been pretty average lately. Early in the year they did, but now they don't. They've been on the opposite trajectory as the Bills defense.
  12. That means the curse is looking for revenge! But honestly I think it would be awesome to have him on the cover. I'd totally buy it.
  13. This year. Allen proved he could do that in previous years. Mahomes has never needed to prove that.
  14. I remember commenting after the 49ers game that Sherman would be a nice addition in the off-season. I'm sure he has a lot of respect for Buffalo after how we performed against them. I could totally see that signing happen.
  15. Mahomes and Allen don't need to put their teams on their back. In fact, if anyone put the team on their back this year at times, it was Stefon Diggs. But whatever. You are always arguing with people for no reason. I don't accept your opinion and you don't have to accept mine.
  16. With the help of his all pro teammates and one of the greatest offensive coaches ever, but ya know...
  17. Why is Tomlin even in there? Makes no sense.
  18. I watched that the other day. He is a talker for sure. Funny guy.
  19. I understand that, but I think that is poor reasoning. There aren't even enough starting QB's to go around. Matt Barkley has done virtually nothing to contribute to the Bills season as far as moving the needle on wins and losses.
  20. Cornerback. But it's close. Offensive tackle, edge rusher, and WR are all important as well. But I give the edge to stopping the pass. Having an elite, lockdown cornerback does so much for a defense. I think that saying is incorrect, personally. A guy holding a clipboard on the sideline doesn't approach the importance of many other positions, is my opinion.
  21. I guess it's possible that Bill Belichick musters the last of his dark sorcery to trick the Texans into trading Watson to him. Apart from that I don't see it.
  22. This is the 2nd most confident I have been this year in the Bills winning a game by double digits. The most confident was the 2nd NE game. I feel like I am fairly grounded and realistic. I think it makes perfect sense for Bills fans to be confident in a resounding win. Obviously it's possible that it won't happen like that, but that's the NFL. Anything is possible. I do, however, think it is likely that the first half will be close and that the Colts defense makes Allen struggle. But eventually the Bills will figure it out and I think the 2nd half will not be close.
  23. I think Allen is able to put the team on his back a little more than Mahomes. Maybe that's because Mahomes has never really needed to do that because he has had a ton of talent around him. Allen came into the league with basically no talent around him and had to fight to win games. That being said, Mahomes' ability to get out of tight spots and make ridiculous throws is pretty incredible.
