  1. And this is about what I expect from the player voted top 100 for Bills players. I just don't see Allen making the top 5. And what do you know? Tom Brady in the top 5.
  2. PFF had been saying too many nice things about Josh Allen, so they had to smear him again. Just like the good old days. They are just moronic over there. They need to rewatch Bills vs Cowboys on Thanksgiving again and then remake that Twitter post.
  3. Well, Tyreek Hill has refused to do that in the past, for no good reason.
  4. Huh? The Browns are still good.
  5. Singletary is still above Moss on the depth chart, I'd wager. But it's more like 1A and 1B.
  6. Hall of famers are usually supremely gifted athletically and physically AND are super hard working. There are plenty of physical and athletic freaks who could be great but don't put in the work, as well as those players who work extremely hard but don't have the physical gifts.
  7. I'm a younger fan too and didn't grow up watching Jim Kelly, but I've watched a lot of highlights and old games from that era. Kelly threw a really pretty ball and he had some nice deep passes, and I think something has to be said about his production in the winter wonderland that is Buffalo. That requires a stronger arm. That being said, I never came away thinking Kelly had some amazing, strong arm. I'd bet he was above average at least, but I would not have assumed that he would be among the strongest in NFL history. But, I could be wrong.
  8. Arm strength is what allows you to get the ball in those windows, though. Obviously it isn't the most important thing for a QB, but when you have it, it helps.
  9. Why would he be writing articles on Diggs? Diggs is not a Viking anymore. It makes no sense.
  10. Anything of 40+ air yards is fairly uncommon for the reason you listed, and also just because it's not usually prudent because those plays are low percentage completions. So yeah, you can take a shot play here or there to keep a defense honest and hope you hit one, but there's a reason offenses don't call those plays that often, regardless of who you have at QB. So statistics of plays of 40+ air yards should always be taken with a grain of salt because it's usually a very small sample size of throws. All of the QB's in the top 10 in deep throwing averaged less than 1 attempt a game of 40+ air yards. Allen actually attempted 13, which was high.
  11. I disagree completely. It doesn't take arm strength to throw the ball 50 yards. Where Allen's arm strength really shines is on those 20 to 30 yard throws where he guns it in there.
  12. I don't think Jalen Ramsey is top 10 worthy, personally.
  13. I do. According to next gen stats Allen was 26-of-64, 771 yards, 9:3 TD-to-INT ratio, 106.2 passer rating on deep passes (pass attempts of 20 plus air yards). This ranks him 10th in the NFL in 2020. https://www.nfl.com/news/next-gen-stats-top-10-deep-passers-of-2020-aaron-rodgers-lands-at-no-4 This site ranks him 7th, using a different methodology: https://brickwallblitz.com/2021/02/16/the-2020-21-deep-ball-project-part-3-3/
  14. Marino sure had a quick release and a nice throwing motion. I actually think Brady's throwing motion is really nice, although he doesn't have as big of an arm as the others in the video. Peyton Manning had a nice high release that got the ball over the linemen. Steve Young also had a nice throwing motion. Maybe 10 years from now it will be commonly accepted that Allen has the biggest arm ever. He certainly has the tools...
  15. If you press play on the video there should be a button that says "watch on YouTube" or something like that. Clicking that should take you directly to the video, so you shouldn't need to do a search for it. The NFL likes to restrict their videos for some reason. They want them to be only viewed on YouTube. Not quite sure why.
  16. Did you not watch the 2020 season? Allen was very good on deep throws.
  17. I think he uses it all the time. He guns it in on those intermediate throws quite often.
  18. Moon was one of the prettiest throwers of the football ever. He could really sling it. That video really shows how good Stafford could have been if he had gone to a better organization. Shame indeed.
  19. Vick had a heck of an arm. He really should be in the conversation for strongest arms in NFL history. He just wasn't accurate enough, and my guess is he wasn't great at reading defenses. He obviously bailed the pocket a lot to run. He also lacked touch. Great athlete with a big arm, though.
  20. Wow, this was a treat to watch. Some great QB's with big arms. Josh Allen is featured at the 3:10 mark and Jim Kelly is featured at the 9:26 mark. (You will likely need to click through to Youtube)
  21. Look, I don't think he deserves it, I just think it will happen. It's just the Brady love fest world we live in. If he ties his shoes the proper way he'll have a mob of people ready to congratulate him. I don't think he deserves top 10. But I do think he'll land in the top 5. Brady was 14th his last year as a Patriot. That year where their offense was crap and Brady was frustrated out of his mind all year with his receivers. In what wild world was Brady a top 14 player in 2019? He was nowhere near that, but yet that's where he ranked. His lowest rank before then was 6th. I just think with him switching teams and winning the Superbowl he'll get over hyped and land in the top 5, even though he doesn't deserve it.
  22. It's also crazy that players do things to put their millions of dollars and fame at risk, yet sometimes they do. But, I'm sure most of them will come to, or already have come to, the same conclusion as you, that getting the vaccine will remove a lot of hassle from their profession.
  23. Ryan Bates. That dude can play. Every time he has stepped on the field he has done well. I fully expect him to put it together for another team and become a solid starter. And I'm ok with that. Having an abundance of talent that leaks onto other teams is a sign of a good franchise.
  24. I guarantee it was just the camera angle or whatever. Dawkins is a big man and I'm sure it is easy to find unflattering angles of him. I'd be willing to bet he is similar to previous seasons.
  25. I agree. I don't think he cracks the top 10 this year. But, you never know... If anyone thinks that Brady won't be top 5 after winning the Super Bowl, you live in another universe. Does Brady deserve top 5? Perhaps not, but he will absolutely be top 5.
