We're not. The Bills can free up something like $45 million in cap space pretty easily next year. Beane knows what he is doing.

Jimmy Garappolo carted off in SF, broken foot, no surgery, 7-8 weeks
MJS replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
And why would he want to go there? To have Matt Patricia call plays for him? To deal with the my-way-or-the-highway Bill Belicheck patriot way? Don't be so sure he wants to return. -

Not even Broncos fans want to watch that tire fire anymore... -
Big companies do often have a percentage of their budget dedicated to philanthropic efforts, which includes donating to charities and non-profits. Regardless of the motivation, the result is helping people. I am not going to complain about why or why not they choose to do it. I have worked for a non-profit for almost a decade now, and a third of our funding comes from the private sector. Nearly all of my interactions with private sector business leaders have been positive, and they have seemed sincere in wanting to position their company to help. Yes, there are some that focus on ROI, but the majority have just wanted to make sure that budgeted money goes to a worthy cause that can do the most good. Corporations are not always these evil monsters that we make them out to be.

Why didn't Wyoming get their normal pocket of Bills coverage? But North Dakota got it? -
I read the article but I didn't see it mentioned why he was having trouble or getting bullied. Did I just miss it? I heard the Bengals sleep in their pads and uniforms to get a few extra minutes of practice in each morning.

Has this thread been taken over by the McDermott haters yet? I haven't checked in awhile.

We beat the Chiefs this year and last year in the regular season. Yes, we have to get over the post-season hump, but let's not pretend that the Bills can never beat the Chiefs. They have done so multiple times.

Wow, that Dolphins writer got his panties in a bunch about a small, insignificant Twitter thread with like 50 fans? Anyway, I hope it does NOT snow. We have the more talented team. Extreme weather is an equalizer. I'm fine if it is super cold, but a lot of snow would make me nervous. I don't really care that much about the suffering of the other team. I just want the Bills to be able to perform to their potential. Snow inhibits that.

Bills fans are quick to blame Hackett, and I'm sure he is not helping anything (bad hire), but I'm telling you... it is Russell Wilson. He is the main problem. The dude lost whatever he had. Now he is just a small, slow, has-been QB with no confidence and no leadership ability.
-
There's nothing worse than the Russell Wilson trade. It could go down as one of the worst in NFL history.

Diggs has better stats than Jefferson. Jefferson has been held to less than 50 yards in 4 games this season. Diggs only once. Jefferson has 1200 yards and 6 TD's, while Diggs has 1200 yards and 10 TD's. I know Jefferson is a great WR, but people are acting like he is in a class of his own. He's not. In fact, our very own Stefon Diggs is having just as good of a season, and probably better. You can point to QB play, but Cousins has always been a stat aggregator. He gets his guy the ball. Why not both?

NFL warns it will punish teams for faking injuries
MJS replied to Fleezoid's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's the QB's job, honestly. Embelishing a hit is different than faking an injury, though. Josh doesn't fake injury. -
The opposite. Diggs got under their skin.

A lot of football left to play, and they are playing the hard part of their schedule. They beat up a lot of bad football teams. So yes, his stats are good so far, but let's see how he ends up. He just had an embarrassing performance last week.

Pushing teammates forward. Should it be legal or not?
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
It makes it a better product, in my opinion. More variety and ways to move the ball. Seems like a silly thing to restrict. -

Why? What is wrong with it? -
Pushing teammates forward. Should it be legal or not?

Defenders wrap up the ball carrier high because they are waiting for a teammate to come rip the ball out. They will intentionally hold a ball carrier up, waiting for teammates. I wonder if people are OK with that and think that is in the spirit of the game, but not receiving help from teammates to push the pile. Pretty incredible. -

MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sheer numbers and brute strength are part of the game of football and always should be. As a defense, you know that pushing the pile is part of the game. It is something you need to account for on most plays. If you don't, you'll get burned by it. Just like a fake punt. You called the perfect defense and stopped the team on 3rd down, just to get a trick play that hurts you. Tough. Suck it up and go play the next down. Referee subjectivity is also part of the game and always has been. There is no way around it. The best you can do is try to make rules clear and simple. The more complicated they are, the harder it is for the refs fo officiate and easier it is to make a mistake. They complained about the hurry up offense and tried to ban that because it wasn't in the spirit of the game. The play is perfectly legal and I have no clue why anyone has an issue with it. I'm seriously stumped as to why this is controversial. -
Pushing teammates forward. Should it be legal or not?
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Heck yes, it should be legal. I find those plays very exciting. It would be a shame to take away something that has been a part of the game since the beginning. -
If you are in the "pay Edmunds" camp, how much do you have in mind?
MJS replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
I trust Beane. They'll resign him if what they value him aligns with what he can get on the open market, minus any team-friendly money Edmunds is willing to subtract. If they let him walk, MLB becomes a big hole and we can expect Beane to address it in a big way. -
The Chiefs are 1-5 against the Bills and Bengals this season and last
MJS replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It just shows you how hard it is to actually win the Super Bowl.
