Half the season is still left. Even if he sits out a couple more games, he'll still have a bunch of games to get ramped up and in top form for the playoffs.

The Bills won by 10 and held Aaron Rodgers to 17 points. Who cares if they ran the ball between the 20's?

They want him for the playoffs.

Yes, it does seem that rookies have a very short leash on this team. On the offensive side of the ball, at least.

He literally has changed his game every single year and gotten better and better by eliminating more and more of those high risk, bad decision plays. The big, special plays he makes are not bad decisions or risky plays. You are just wrong. Everything he has been working on has been those fundamental QB things like checking it down, reading defenses, distributing the ball to the correct receiver, etc. He shows he is willing to change to do those things. Yes, he makes special, amazing plays. Those aren't the plays that he puts the ball at risk or makes a bad decision. Those are the plays that he makes the right decision and backs up those decisions with his natural ability and skill.

But you also only see 1/7th of his play and don't know any of the details like play calls, scheme, assignments or anything in that 1/7th you see. Just face it. The coaching staff knows way more than you do about these players, what they can and can't handle, how they fit in the scheme, what their assignments are, how they perform in practice, etc. Davis rocked out his rookie year and got immediate opportunities because of how he impressed the coaches. They are willing to give players more opportunities when they show they have earned them. Cook is clearly being given more opportunities. If you remember, Shakir had a bad game against KC in the limited opportunities he was given. He still needs to earn it. Those opportunities will come.

Allen is at his best when he is willing to check it down, throw the ball away, and play smart football. He has played that way in the past with tremendous results. Sorry, but boneheaded interceptions are never permissible. Josh Allen will be the first to tell you that. He has the ability to play smart football and usually does. That has in no way taken away from his explosiveness or awesome plays. It actually adds to it.

He drank too much of his own coolaid and got too used to it being easy out there. When the defense got tougher, he did not respond well. You need to buckle down and play smart when that happens. Check the ball down, throw it away, etc. He was back to not giving up on any play. Give up on a play if there is nothing there. But he knows. He'll be a surgeon next week.

He is feeling like a future hall of famer to me, honestly. He is so good.

Forgot Lewan. He is a very annoying player. Really full of himself. Garrett put a bad taste in my mouth with the helmet smash and the bull crap racial slur allegation to try to justify it. But that was really the only incident. He doesn't bother me normally, although I'll admit that I don't watch the Browns much. Are there other reasons?

Tyreek Hill and anyone else who has abused women and/or children. He is also just a total me-first player. He refused to restructure his contract to help the team, even though it would give him MORE money. Just not a smart or likeable guy at all. Aside from that, Aaron Rodgers is becoming pretty unlikable. Honestly, Mahomes and his constant stink faces throughout games is getting unlikable too. Kelce. Chris Jones. The Chiefs are just an unlikable team with a lot of bad actors. I know Bills fans have been leaning towards him lately, but OBJ and his early career antics, trying to spear players in the head and injure them. That rubbed me the wrong way big time. Mac Jones the giant baby / dirty player.

Yeah, that was a fun game. So much optimism for that team, and then Rex came in and destroyed everything. But it all worked out, in the end. Things happened a certain way that allowed McDermott to come in and change everything. Now, the Bills are the class of the NFL. The team is in good hands with a good coach, a good GM, and a top 3 QB. And our success is literally the blueprint many other teams are trying to follow now. I just wonder how many hall of farmers we will be adding when this era is over...

Is it possible people are overreacting about one bad game? McKenzie does not deserve the amount of hate he is receiving.

Hey, if the Packers want to just lay down and take it, I'm all for that. Let's hope Allen gets to sit another 4th quarter.

I have to believe it is a joke, or at least that's what I'm hoping. I can't imagine there is anyone who watches football who doesn't know this.

A Jets loss is probably better for the Bills, but I'll be rooting against the Pats. Just loving their decent into suckage tooo much.

Because Bills fans have been burned for so long. If you completely buy in, it will be that much more disappointing if the Bills fail. That's why fans are ready to jump ship at the very first signs of things going bad. You see it in the game day threads. Allen throws an incompletion and fans become convinced Josh is having and off day and the offense is going to play badly. The defense gives up a single first down and fans claim the defense is playing badly. They are waiting for any sign that they should jump ship and avoid more disappointment. Only winning a superbowl is going to really change that. Even then, at the end of Allen's career, fans will be convinced that the Bills will be going into another 17 year drought. It's not a big deal, really. But the swinging pendulum of minute-by-minute reactions can be annoying, sometimes.

The team studies film of themselves because they know the assignments and exactly what they did right and wrong. They watch film on opponents to find tendencies, like what an individual might do differently on a pass play versus a run play, or what a team likes to do on certain down and distances, or how hard a player might react to play action or a pump fake, etc. What presnap movement or personnel might be telling them about the play being called. What types of pass rush moves a player uses, or what stunts they like to call. They aren't watching the film to see how good or bad a player is and to assign a grade. They don't need to know the opponent's individual assignments to look at that kind of stuff.

So, think about Tremaine Edmunds. He leads the defense and gets everyone lined up correctly, communicates checks, etc. Then maybe Matt Milano makes a great tackle, but he was in the right position because of Edmunds. That doesn't show up as Edmunds actually doing anything. In fact, he might get a bad grade on that play even though he set up the good play with his recognition and leadership. There is just way too much teamwork going on to really get a good enough idea to assign a grade based on how a player is performing from a bird's eye view. Also, it really bothers me that they use their ridiculous numbering system. They are looking at a player and assigning a number. They use a quantitative measurement to express their qualitative analysis. To the point they are even using decimal places. It is no different than looking at a player and assigning gold stars, but it looks more legitimate by using numbers, as if they are using some scientific method of analysis, when all they are doing is looking at it and arbitrarily assigning a number. It is ridiculous and misleading. They should have stuck to letter grades like others use, because that is more aligned to what they are actually doing.

He only played for like 5 minutes before he got benched. He still managed to kick someone in the nuts? I shudder to think of how many nuts would have been kicked if he played the whole game. What a little child. Acting like he is going to die from an ankle sprain and caught multiple times making dirty moves on other players... And he sucks at football.

I agree with this sentiment, but he also might need a few games played to get back into the swing of things, so we need to make sure he gets enough playing time in the regular season to ensure he is ready to go for that final regular season push and the playoffs.
