  1. I agree, but as another poster stated yesterday... I wonder if they were intentionally not doing this for the chance that we see them again in the Playoffs? Take a chance at letting our front four get there. If it works, great. If not, the game still meant nothing in the grand scheme of things, at least as far as standings and seeding goes. (I don't necessarily agree - to me, the "moral victory" of beating the Cheats is too high). Just playing Devil's Advocate here. Now, if we see them in the playoffs, we can throw something at them that they aren't ready for or expecting, based on what we already put on film. Not saying that I think this is what happened, but it was certainly interesting to see them stray from what they'd been doing for weeks now.
  2. Too many people forget that Allen was the most raw QB coming out last year. In a perfect world, THIS was supposed to be his first year actually playing. I think he's far and away better than anybody thought he would be at this point. The biggest question is how much farther he can come. Based on what I've seen, I think he can get there. He doesn't ever look confused or overmatched. Sure, his play needs to be better. If he takes the kind of jump from year 2 to 3 as he did from 1 to 2, we're going to be in for a hell of a ride.
  3. 11-5 is so much better than 10-6. Plus, I HATE the Jets.
  4. And then you’d be on here screaming, “ why the hell are they running screens? They haven’t been able to do that all year!!!!!!!!!!!”
  5. Yes, I would. Because there is almost no risk in the big picture. If we had lost last week at PIT and needed to win to get in the playoffs, then I don’t think I’d take the risk.
  6. Agreed. That should have been 4th and 2, not 4th and 1
  7. It’s the playoffs. Every team is good. There are no easy wins in the playoffs.
  8. The 4th down was definitely short, but no way it would've been overturned because there wasn't a replay that actually showed the location of the ball. Just a VERY (I know, this is shocking) favorable spot for the Cheats.
  9. Houston would definitely be the best matchup. With our biggest weakness being offense... their defense is NOT good. but at the end of the day, I don’t get why everybody is so worried about who we play. If we’re going to the super bowl, you’re going to have to play more than one team. If you want to win a super bowl, you need to be the best.
  10. This is the first time that I can remember that I literally feel like we are going up there as the better overall team. What is this?!?!
  11. The hell are you talking about?
  12. I'd like to think my Dad is up there, enjoying every bit of it. He was every bit as much of a diehard Bills fan as I am.
  13. While "jumping ship" was never an option - I've been a Bills fan since March 4th, 1990 (the day I was born) and will be until the day I die. But the Rex years were difficult.... embarrassing. I at least wasn't as open to others about the fact that I was a Bills fan. So glad that circus left town!
  14. You really don't know the difference between 2017 and now? The 2017 team was a pretty talent-less squad that overachieved and somehow managed to win 9 games, and got in with a fair bit of luck on their side. With a quarterback in Tyrod Taylor that we KNEW wasn't going to be around long term. This is different. This is a team that McDermott and Beane built almost from the ground up, that is built toward the future. People are this excited because this ISN'T 2017, where next year is going to be miserable. People are excited because yes, we clinched early and are 10-4... but that this is just the start of what's to come.
  15. I would probably rest much of the defense. Offensively, I would think you'd want them to continue to play together to get better.
  16. I don't even think he puts on a good show. They talk more about stuff outside of sports than actual sports, and every time I've ever listened to them, every conversation they have on that show goes back to talking about race. You're definitely right on the "too woke" thing.
  17. I actually called into OBL earlier in the week and made this point. As a 29-year-old Bills fan, this is all kind of new. I mean yes, we made the playoffs two years ago. But that team squeaked in at 9-7, needing help. The roster wasn't very talented. Everybody knew that Tyrod Taylor wasn't going to be the quarterback going forward. So while it was cool, and certainly meaningful to break the drought, it basically meant NOTHING for the future of the team (other than being able to say, "damn, we have a coach that can get A LOT out of a little). This one is different. They blew it up and built the roster the way they wanted it. I heard a stat the other day that there are three players on this team from Rex's last year. THREE. In less than three years, there has been essentially 100% roster turnover. That's incredible. But they built this thing from the ground up. They didn't mortgage the future by making stupid, splashy FA signings that would put us in cap purgatory in 3 years. They didn't trade away years worth of draft picks. They did it the right way. And here we are, looking at a potential 11-12 win season. And this, to me, is the "floor" of where this team can go. This is year one. They still have a bunch of money to spend and draft picks for a GM who has proven to be VERY adept and finding good talent at all levels of the draft. Their core will still be together for at least next year, before they have to make some decisions on extensions. THIS is what fans of other perennial contenders feel like. Being a Bills fan is no longer a punchline. Thank you, Coach McDermott and Mr. Beane!
  18. Yeah, well if Josh Allen hadn't had those incompletions, he'd have had a perfect day! If the Steelers defense just wouldn't have given up those 17 points, they'd have had a better day than the Bills defense!
  19. I've never understood this. The TV networks don't make money if people aren't watching. Why wouldn't you do a simulcast on NBC or another network, where fans can see your product (and the commercials, which pays for all of this) Out of curiosity... Is Sky Sports a "network" or "basic cable" channel in the UK, where pretty much everybody with cable service gets it? Or is it a special "subscription" only channel. It'd be strange if any old Brit in the UK (where, let's face it, American Football isn't as popular) gets the game, but not here in the States.
  20. Dan Le Batard. Enough said. I'm surprised he's actually talking about sports. I used to get in my car and go to lunch, and my SiriusXM would be on ESPN radio, and I would listen to that joke of a show for 30 minutes and not once hear them actually talk about sports.
  21. I don't know. I'm not a big fan of resting the starters, particularly on offense. Defense... maybe. I just feel with the issues this offense has had, they need every bit of preparation/reps to get them ready for the postseason.
