Way too early for this take. Mayfield is slowly starting to have a similar career trajectory to Jameis Winston. If he doesnt start slowing down in the interceptions Cowherd could very well be right, but I think he could easily have the career of someone like Stafford.

How so on the Harbaugh thing? He has won everywhere he has been. Coached in a Super Bowl with a running back at QB. All the Michigan honks expecting him to come in and win National Championship after National Championship forgot their program wasnt a consistent National Championship contender since the mid seventies. Harbaugh is a really good coach.

Will have to wait and see. I think most teams who are looking for depth want good locker room guys. Dont see a lot of people lining up to sign a 30 year old notoriously lazy player who wont have much to play for anymore. Dareus needs motivation, and I dont see where that is with backup money and snaps.

I want nothing to do with the guy. All the talent in the world, however I think his greatest downfall is he appears to care more about being a superstar than the work it takes to get there. I dont get the sense he has the type of fortitude it takes to be great. On the other question, yes he is 100% a bust. He was taken 4th overall, has had 1 1000 yard season, never eclipsed 70 catches or had double digit touchdowns. If the Chiefs part with him in the offseason he will be on his 4th team in 7 seasons.

I cant see paying a tight end 8-10 Million dollars a year when you have Knox. I agree Kroft probably needs to go, and I agree we probably need to add another decent tight end, but Id rather have them go get someone like Jack Doyle for a bit less money.

In their 8 game win streak Lamar has only thrown the ball more than 25 times twice. They are 2-2 when Lamar throws more than 30 passes in a game. The Bills need to come out not scared and get up on them early. If you force the Ravens to throw it they can be beat.

This is the sort of hyperbole that kills me. Is Lamar an incredible athlete, yes. I would even say generational as far as athletic traits, but he can be beat. The hyperbole part comes in because he didnt throw for 400 yards every other game, he threw for 400 yards twice in his entire college career, thats 38 games. He also only ran for 200 yards once, and he never had a 400 passing and 200 rushing yard game. The Lamar stuff is starting to be stuff of legend more than reality. At some point someone is going to take away his tight ends and make him play QB. He is the MVP this season, no question but he can be beat. He was beat quite a lot in college.

I think likable players tend to skew our perception of who they are talent wise. Shaq's 5th year option is akin to the opinion of people who want to pay Jordan Phillips 11 million dollars next year. Shaq is a rotational defensive end who provides a lot of solid play, but he not picking up his 5th year option probably ends up saving the Bills 4 or so million next year if they choose to resign him. Always thought Brandon Graham was Shaq's ceiling, but I dont think he is playing to that level yet. If the Bills want to resign him for 7 or so million next year I'd be all for it, the 5th year option would have cost them more.

A couple weeks ago looked at him compared with the rest of the quarterbacks in the league and thought he was playing top 15. After the last two games he is creeping into the top ten. That said, the focus is winning one game and getting into the playoffs. Just win one game.

Only legitimate options for him are Raiders, Chargers, or Dolphins. He is still a top twenty QB, but not many other teams will be in the market for a 43 year old QB.

I voted for him last week. Based on the touchdown production he should be in for the AFC, or at the very least a first alternate like Tyrod.
