Week 12: Chargers at Bills
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Different strokes for different folks but I cant stand Feely. Seems to take enjoyment in Buffalo doing poorly. Not a fan at all. That said, I have six kids so I generally cant hear a dang thing they say anyways. -
Could Darnold end up backing up Allen in Buffalo?

Darnolds contract is around 9 million next year. Not going to pay a quarterback from Josh's own draft class more money than Josh. -
Week 11 Around the League

Never got right after the ACL. His movement in and out of the pocket is non existent and teams tee off on him. Philly needs to see what they have in Hurts. -
The best part is this time the hot shot hasnt been that hot.

They played downs in the NFL. Its fairly obvious neither is a lead back.

SRV, Hendrix, Clapton, Van Halen as far as pure chops. Also a huge fan of how tasteful Brian May, David Gilmour, and John Frusciante are within the structure of the songs. Just amazingly beautiful guitar solos, not always something you hear and say "wow that guy is incredibly technically talented" but their solos and guitar work kind of take you away. SRV's Lenny does the same thing just very tasteful work.

Jerry Hughes Do U Bring Him Back or Let Him Walk ?

Id add another year to his contract but rework it to keep him for less. -
A huge part of the reason the Bills sign players is position flexibility. They signed these guys to pretty decent sized contracts, so if they signed guys who cant produce because they came up against some adversity, I'd say they still signed the wrong guys. If you are paying two defensive tackles between 8 and 9 million a year, and a practice squad player is outproducing, and outplaying them, there is an issue. And make no mistake Zimmer is playing better than both of them. On Norman, I'd say you would expect a 33 year old player who missed a quarter of last year due to injury to be a bit of an injury risk. I am not going to say they should have signed Lawson and Phillips instead because honestly they havent been much better this year. Long term the signings may be fine, just not paying immediate dividends. For what its worth I think the Addison signing has been ok.

No excuse for Corey Bojorquez

Haha. Not a good way to be known. Opposite of yelling Kobe when you shoot garbage into the can. -
Week 11: Bye Week updates

With the amount of good players he has at his disposal I would assume the windows are bigger for him because of separation. Rodgers is another one who doesnt throw INTs. I think in the last three years he is something like 71-6. -

Ok This Dolphins talk is getting out of hand.

If I were a betting man, I'd take the team that doesnt have to rely on fluky special teams plays and defense to win games. The Phins are going to come to Earth very soon. -

His talent and Andy Reid's offense is a dream match. He is the best Quarterback in the NFL right now, and I wouldnt say its incredibly close. I dont know how they pay everyone but if they keep it up they are going to win multiple championships. -

He is number 4 in punting average, and number 11 in net. Having a good season, but really hasnt had to punt much. That said, that was maybe the worst punt I've ever seen. -
Like it or not Daryl Williams is playing his way into the Pro Bowl this year. He is at what is becoming a prime position in the league, and he is playing at a very high level. He is the type of player you want to let test the market, especially with the cap being low. If you offer him a fair contract right at the end of the season you're looking at a $10 million dollar a year player. If he tests the market and finds no one willing to pay him the money because the cap is $175 million than you may get him back at a lower rate. If you pay Feliciano like a guard, he probably gets what Spain got last year. $5 million per. He is the guy you look to lock up first.

I think you'll see Dawkins/Ford/Morse/Feliciano/Williams for the Chargers game. Morse was coming off a head injury on what would have been a short week of practice for him, and it probably made more sense to go with preparation over talent, if its close. I dont expect this to be a year long thing as they cant really afford to 86 Mitch's contract at years end.
