Ok This Dolphins talk is getting out of hand.

If I were a betting man, I'd take the team that doesnt have to rely on fluky special teams plays and defense to win games. The Phins are going to come to Earth very soon. -
Week 11: Bye Week updates

His talent and Andy Reid's offense is a dream match. He is the best Quarterback in the NFL right now, and I wouldnt say its incredibly close. I dont know how they pay everyone but if they keep it up they are going to win multiple championships. -
No excuse for Corey Bojorquez

He is number 4 in punting average, and number 11 in net. Having a good season, but really hasnt had to punt much. That said, that was maybe the worst punt I've ever seen. -
Like it or not Daryl Williams is playing his way into the Pro Bowl this year. He is at what is becoming a prime position in the league, and he is playing at a very high level. He is the type of player you want to let test the market, especially with the cap being low. If you offer him a fair contract right at the end of the season you're looking at a $10 million dollar a year player. If he tests the market and finds no one willing to pay him the money because the cap is $175 million than you may get him back at a lower rate. If you pay Feliciano like a guard, he probably gets what Spain got last year. $5 million per. He is the guy you look to lock up first.

I think you'll see Dawkins/Ford/Morse/Feliciano/Williams for the Chargers game. Morse was coming off a head injury on what would have been a short week of practice for him, and it probably made more sense to go with preparation over talent, if its close. I dont expect this to be a year long thing as they cant really afford to 86 Mitch's contract at years end.

My Man Cole Beasley

I like Njoku but the Bills are cash strapped and not sure they even had the money to pay him. Drafting a Tight End is a must in April. -
He isnt a very good runningback. There was a lot of green and blockers in front of him. Neither runningback is very good.

Tre’Davious White 2020 Season
thenorthremembers replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has been fine. Locks down his side of the field. Hard to get ints when qbs dont test you. Bigger issues on D than Tre White. -
Once they stop scoring om defense and blocking kicks they will come back to Earth

Going to completely agree with you there. Rehbein gets a ton of credit for the pick in most of the bios you read about the "dynasty" as well. I am not a Belichick fan at all. Like I said in another post he comes across as someone who cant get a long with anyone because he thinks he knows better than them, about everything. Not my place to judge, but a pretty immoral fella to boot.

Carlin, Pryor, Chappelle (similar comic to Rock, just think he is a better writer), Seinfeld. I think there are a ton better comics than Seinfeld (Hedberg, Burr, C.K., Hicks, Eddie Murphy etc) but in terms of his contribution to comedy as a whole I am not sure anyone really touches him there. As for Robin Williams, he stands out to me as more of an actor than a standup, especially loved his dramatic work. However, his special after 9/11 was one of the funniest things Ive ever watched.

The guy is 54-66 without Brady, thats slightly better than someone like Doug Marone. No one wanted to take his crap in Cleveland, and the same thing was going on in New England before Mo Lewis almost killed Bledsoe and Brady took over. He was on his way to being a lifetime coordinator before Brady came on the scene. Does he get credit for drafting Brady, yes he does. But personally, I think Brady was a much needed diluent for Belichick. When players got sick of Belichick's crap, I think it was Brady's leadership that brought them back. Without Brady, you have an organization run by a nearly 70 year old grump who players want to play for because of reputation, thats not something that can win long term.

Can they really afford to pay him anything this offseason or at the start of next season if the cap really dips to $175,000,000? Probably not. I dont think he will get what Mahomes got a year, because he isnt Mahomes. However you have to think he makes 37-40 Million once the cap goes back up to 198.2.

The Super Bowl Halftime Performer Is ...
thenorthremembers replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Weekend is a decent musician, that said who even bothers to watch the halftime show anymore? -
I think the question is unfair. Ralph was who he was because he came up in a different time. Owners during his day had their hands into everything because the NFL wasnt what it is now, Al Davis coached the Raiders at one point for God's sake. Obviously a guy who would be 102 years old had he not passed away wouldnt have been good as an owner. His fabric was different than the Pegula's because it was woven at a different time under different circumstances. Time passes us all by and it did Ralph, but in my mind even asking the question is a bit insulting to his legacy.

The Jets are a terrible organization, but the Belichick stuff was 100% on Belichick. No one forced him into being the coach. He willingly entered into a stupid scheme Parcells and the Jets owner cooked up. I think Belichick is a great football mind and historian, but I also think he is an elitist jerk who road Brady's coattails in the best days of his career. Just finished Belichick by Ian O'Connor, and it solidified my belief about Belichick, he thinks he is smarter than everyone else. There was a quote from him from the Saban Belichick HBO special that showed his true colors "When the average guy is home watching football, drinking his beer and eating his tostitos..." just not a very good guy.
