Buffalo Bills primed to win 2021 Super Bowl LV
thenorthremembers replied to BITE ME's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree. Colts are a well coached extremely balanced football team. They have also done much better against common opponents than the Bills have. Its going to be a close game. -
Those protests were not peaceful. People were shot and killed. Local business was looted and destroyed. Cars were set on fire and destroyed. Were there peaceful protests, yes but those are not the ones I am speaking about. As far as sheep. Yes those people yesterday were sheep. And so were the people this Summer. People being told by the media and celebrities that the country they live in doesnt care about them. I am not arguing this anymore. I am going to teach my kids to love all people, including unborn babies. I am going to focus on trying to raise good people who can think with common sense and know when they are being used as pawns. I am done playing the game. Enjoy watching this country destroy itself. Its not just one side. As usual the media has led people to believe Trump supporters are nothing but low iq white people who have relations with their sister and carry a confederate flag and Biden supporters are nothing but college professors who are so isolated from everyday life that they couldnt begin to understand the struggles of the working man. Narratives like that breed contempt and its on both sides. I am officially done with major parties. They both make me sick in their use of real people to play power games. They went from sending the poor to fight their wars overseas to sending the poor to fight their wars against one another. And it wont stop until the sheep on both sides wake up.

So long Caillou, hope this is where you find resiliency.

Literally no different that what happened over the Summer on the liberal side. Our country is full of a bunch of petulant children who go full on tantrum at the very mention that their way may not be right. I want no part of the republican or democratic party ever again. Each side stirs up this crap by pandering to fringe lunatics and I am done with it. Going to go back to raising my family. Taking care of my house and land and ignoring this garbage. May God have mercy on them.

With Rodgers I think it comes down to how into football he is. He doesnt look like he is slowing down anytime, but I am not sure he is as obsessive about football as Brady. I'd give it four more years for sure. -
Chan Gailey resigns as OC of Dolphins

Bill O'Brien coming in? -
The thing about running the ball and draining the clock only works if you score. The Bills dont need a lot of time to score points, so all you're doing is putting yourself at a disadvantage. That said, I dont think the Colts need to be a different team, and I wouldnt try to get in a boat race with the Bills. I would play my game, and try to punch the ball out anytime I got near Josh. The Colts need to cause turnovers to beat the Bills. If you get Josh flustered it can go down hill in a hurry.

Nick Caserio to be new GM of Texans

So is it going to be Daboll or McDaniels? He has only ever been with the Patriots. -
Dolphins all in on Tua for 2021
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably more yards, but for the most part yes. I thought he was going to be risk adverse against us, then he started to turn into the Tuaman. -
Dolphins all in on Tua for 2021
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You nailed it. You'll look at his stats and think he is a good quarterback, and then you'll see him in an actual game and go "oh" so thats why they only win 8 games year. He isnt a killer. -
McDermott is a big fan of an author named Mark Batterson. He is one of my favorites as well. His books talk a lot about this type of thing exactly. Calculated risks that are a part of a larger goal. I am currently reading his book "All In" and its literally McDermott to a tee. In fact the term Humble and Hungry comes straight from that book.

Bills will be working out QB Chad Kelly
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know I bring this up every time Chad Kelly comes up, but for all his bad he has done some good things in the Buffalo area. He had a chalk talk at Kelly Camp a few years back that stuck with my son quite a bit. "You are who you surround yourself with." He took responsibility for what a jerk he had been and how many opportunities he wasted. He has also done some very nice things at the ARC of Erie County in the past. Bottom line is none of us are perfect, and most of us are far less than that. Has he gotten more opportunities because of who his Uncle is? Yes he has. But him being a pretty talented young man has something to do with it too. I know I've gotten opportunities in my life because of who I was close with, not family necessarily but its not that unusual. The difference is its not news when it happens to average joes. -
I wouldnt say I dont like Flores. I just think all of the media and fan love is a little premature. He is a below .500 coach. My comparison to Bradley wasnt based on record or outcome, it was based on the media reaction to him as well. If you recall he was the high energy guy with the exoctic defense that was going to turn the organization around. Now with Flores he is the more low key detail oriented guy who would turn the organization around like Bowles. On Tua and personnel decisions, its not strictly on the GM. The GM and coach work together to decide who will be on the 53. The coach has final say over the game day roster. Again, time will tell whether he succeeds. My point right now is he hasnt. He was 10-6 playing a 4th place schedule, nearly half of their wins this year came against teams with a combined record of 9-54. I just think the Flores love is a bit premature is all. On the Bowles thing, I think he is a fantastic coordinator but I'd be very surprised if he gets a second shot.

I do remember. I also remember the Bills doing the same exact thing, and getting more out of their team. I dont think you can separate the QB decision from his direction as a head coach. I agree with you on Tua. He has a quick release, but even when he was at Alabama you could see he lacked arm strength, was slight, and was injury prone. Not to mention he was playing with one of the best wideout corps in college football history. I just dont see it with Flores. I think you'll see the Dolphins regress next year when they have to play a 2nd place schedule and not a 4th place schedule like this year. Agree to disagree on this. But it reminds me a lot of the media narrative on Coaches like Todd Bowles, and Gus Bradley who were master motivators who were going to come in and change the culture. Bottom line, if the Dolphins dont get a QB I dont think they win more than 7 or 8 games next year.

Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson
thenorthremembers replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane made the right decision. They got more out of the players they brought in, and I mean that in terms of production and availability. Really loved Phillips as a Bill but his 2019 Season was a bit of an anomaly. -
My thought about running up the score, whether its the Bills doing it or someone else doing it to the Bills is this: If one team is still trying to score and win the game, the other team should as well. I dont like the way it feels to watch my team get its butt beat, but the Bills had their backups in. The only team Dolphins' fans should be mad at is the Dolphins. One more thing on the Dolphins. Their fans and the NFL media as a whole has went out of their way to say how amazing Brian Flores is as a head coach. The guy is 15-17 in two seasons and hasnt made the playoffs. He may be a fantastic coach, but your record is what it is. Right now he is a highly publicized Joe Philbin. If Tua doesnt take a good sized step next year he will be on the hot seat very quickly.
