I wouldnt say I dont like Flores. I just think all of the media and fan love is a little premature. He is a below .500 coach. My comparison to Bradley wasnt based on record or outcome, it was based on the media reaction to him as well. If you recall he was the high energy guy with the exoctic defense that was going to turn the organization around. Now with Flores he is the more low key detail oriented guy who would turn the organization around like Bowles. On Tua and personnel decisions, its not strictly on the GM. The GM and coach work together to decide who will be on the 53. The coach has final say over the game day roster. Again, time will tell whether he succeeds. My point right now is he hasnt. He was 10-6 playing a 4th place schedule, nearly half of their wins this year came against teams with a combined record of 9-54. I just think the Flores love is a bit premature is all. On the Bowles thing, I think he is a fantastic coordinator but I'd be very surprised if he gets a second shot.

I do remember. I also remember the Bills doing the same exact thing, and getting more out of their team. I dont think you can separate the QB decision from his direction as a head coach. I agree with you on Tua. He has a quick release, but even when he was at Alabama you could see he lacked arm strength, was slight, and was injury prone. Not to mention he was playing with one of the best wideout corps in college football history. I just dont see it with Flores. I think you'll see the Dolphins regress next year when they have to play a 2nd place schedule and not a 4th place schedule like this year. Agree to disagree on this. But it reminds me a lot of the media narrative on Coaches like Todd Bowles, and Gus Bradley who were master motivators who were going to come in and change the culture. Bottom line, if the Dolphins dont get a QB I dont think they win more than 7 or 8 games next year.

Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson
thenorthremembers replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane made the right decision. They got more out of the players they brought in, and I mean that in terms of production and availability. Really loved Phillips as a Bill but his 2019 Season was a bit of an anomaly. -
My thought about running up the score, whether its the Bills doing it or someone else doing it to the Bills is this: If one team is still trying to score and win the game, the other team should as well. I dont like the way it feels to watch my team get its butt beat, but the Bills had their backups in. The only team Dolphins' fans should be mad at is the Dolphins. One more thing on the Dolphins. Their fans and the NFL media as a whole has went out of their way to say how amazing Brian Flores is as a head coach. The guy is 15-17 in two seasons and hasnt made the playoffs. He may be a fantastic coach, but your record is what it is. Right now he is a highly publicized Joe Philbin. If Tua doesnt take a good sized step next year he will be on the hot seat very quickly.

Went out last night and bought a Monte Christo White Series Toro Cigar, and plan to pair it with a glass of Cabernet.

Bring back A. Lynn for OC!

I can see your point. Youre correct about Allen being the major expert on it. All for it, better to have the continuity. -
Here is the definition of Failing UP. In Denver
thenorthremembers replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is 100% correct, and I get it. Denver really should have made this move first and then done a complete tear down. The coach and the QB are both bad fits and really need to be replaced. -
Bring back A. Lynn for OC!

I get that everyone wants to try and keep the offensive system by promoting from within, but we dont have anyone on our coaching roster that is an expert in Daboll's system. The most likely candidate to hire from within is Ken Dorsey, and he has only been with the Bills for two years now. -
Brian Daboll - Assistants

Pass first Coordinator. Perfect! Yes, but to be fair he has done a lot more than that in his career. -
Brian Daboll - Assistants

If Daboll leaves, and they dont hire Dorsey one guy to watch would be Darrell Bevell. Going to be available, and has a pretty decent track record as an OC. To top it off he had a 4 year stretch with Frazier in Minnesota. -
Bills sign Kenny Stills to PS
thenorthremembers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure how the PS works this year but wont this make him a ERFA heading into 2021 if no one puts them on their active roster? -
Anthony Lynn fired by Chargers

Pretty sure Daboll went to high school with Tom Telesco, may be wrong but pretty sure thats the case. This is the exact job I was worried would open up. -
Brian Daboll - Assistants
thenorthremembers replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These are the exact two guys I would imagine he'd go after. He and Patricia have a ton of history together, and O'Shea has a lot of knowledge of the Erhardt Perkins offense. Seems like I havent seen Daboll tied to a lot of jobs yet though. -

I'm Thankful For the Bills
thenorthremembers replied to BuffalothruMyVeins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So sorry to hear this man. I dont think we can ever understand why these things happen, but I am so very glad the Bills could lift you up during this time in your life. So many prayers for you, your Mother, and your entire family. Keep your head up as far as you can and lets keep hoping this team is around for at least another month or so to keep our weekends something to look forward to. -
Bills vs. Dophins Postgame Thread

The best part of the game for me is seeing up close how bad Tua is. -
Cam Newton - “Mentally tough”
thenorthremembers replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriots didnt have a game on September 30th, or Christmas Eve, so there is absolutely no football related excuse for him missing his kids birthdays. Honestly hope Cam grows up because his biggest problem is his immaturity. For the record, Bill wears jeans and Patriots gear everyday because he doesnt spend time worrying about how he looks, because grown men dont do that on a daily. Maybe spend less time worrying about your "steez" and more time trying to get to your kids birthday parties. -
What to do with Dawson Knox
thenorthremembers replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now Knox is a 1st string player who has the output of someone like Will Dissly or Jeremy Sprinkle, guys who are 2nd or 3rd options on their teams at tight end. His hands are just not good enough to have him as the 1st option at tight end. The Bills will probably give him another year to determine whether he can outgrow his issues because he is a high pick. But if the option to upgrade is sitting there during the draft they for sure have to look into it.
