2018 Draft: 1st round discussion
BurpleBull replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darnold's going to the Jets, if the Broncos choose QB they'll pick Josh Allen. Rosen will fall and Bills will have to move up to either pick 8 or 9 to get him. -
Who's that guy that you followed this season, certain that they'd catch a buzz as the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine, and NFL Draft approached, but then...nothing? Who do you have potentially going undrafted, that you feel would make something of an impact for the Bills given its needs? My guy: San Jose State LB Frank Ginda. Tackling machine, diagnoses plays well, strong, sheds blocks. Very surprised he's gotten zero buzz. I think Sean McDermott has an eye for good defenders, especially guys who others overlook. The Bills need all the help they can get stopping the run and I'm a firm believer that Frank Ginda would help shore up the run defense. Would be a solid signing. Frank Ginda's definitely this year's Nathan Peterman. That prospect I hope ends up on the roster despite feeling it's a long shot. As we know, Peterman ended up a Buffalo Bill...so here's to hope.

LaCanfora: Bills Doubling Back on Rosen

Don't get too excited over this...bad things happen when you get too excited. -
I feel the same way. I think people are just expressing their fears but I don't believe it's reality-based at all. Has it ever played out like that where QB's go in succession like that? Someone always seem to fall in shocking fashion no matter how good they are believed to be. I expect the same tomorrow night.

The Bills will draft a top QB... This will be followed by the popping of champagne bottles in ejaculatory celebration. -
Best thread title ever.

Was there never doubt that Terell Owens would sign with Buffalo? Bryant in Buffalo? Why not?

Trying to turn attention away from maybe, sometimes, a little bit current Bills player Richie Incognito's lunacy via former Bills player Sammy Watkins huh? I see what you did there.

Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
BurpleBull replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very strange the backlash and lack of empathy fans showed players like Marshawn Lynch and Jairus Byrd on their way out of Buffalo, and even recently Zay Jones during his trying time but aren't in complete "f off" mode concerning Incognito and his lack of respect for the Bills front office and this new regime as a whole. I'm surprised so many people are open-armed, willing to receive Incognito again and feel so encouraged by his tweet...I mean it was ended with #madeyalook. Incognito to me will always be a boneheaded, idiot in my book for his past antics with other teams and he's showing again why this take on him is completely justifiable. -
Richie Incognito Retires Via Twitter - Now Confirmed

Bullies Jonathan Martin...gets bullied by Muhammad Wilkerson, Von Miller, etc., on-field. Good riddance Richie Boy. -
Giants are apparently now dangling Josh Rosen out there for the entire NFL and any club willing to pay up to get him. Would sure hate to wake up tomorrow and learn that the Patriots packaged their picks to secure the No.2 spot and Josh Rosen. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/the-giants-would-reportedly-draft-sam-darnold-at-no-2-overall-dont-like-josh-rosen/

My guess is you're trying to be clever, but you've really said nothing. -

I wouldn't have cared if Jonathan Martin made good on his threats to Igcognito. He strikes me as as the "big scary white guy" who would try to befriend Ndamukong Suh but bully Jonathan Martin. Really hate white guys like him who think growing up country and hunting big game means they're a bad ass and can't get their ass kicked. -
Josh Rosen snaps back on Mora comments

Okay now it's funny. I read the article earlier today on another website about the coach saying something about millennials needing to ask why or ask questions or something like that, but that part just didn't stand out when I was trying to make sense out of the tweet. But yeah that's pretty funny. -

Bad feeling that we take Mason Rudolph

Don't know if this adds to the bad feelings, but this thread had exactly 666 views at the time of me clicking it. -
Does the new tackling rule help the Bills?
BurpleBull replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes that a top three play? Did it lead to something big? -
Is Hughes' spot on the team really that safe though? He could fairly be labeled a head-case with all the 15yd. penalties he's incurred during games in his time as a Bill. I could see them moving away from Hughes because of his detrimental on-field behavior.

Because it's needed. For me at least it has zero to do with McCoy's age but running styles. Penny is an east-west runner while we all know McCoy tries too hard to break ankles running laterally too much. It's a position that doesn't stick out on paper as a need but is vital that an RB with a different running style is blended with McCoy's.

Luke Falk plays kind of uninspired. He throws the ball nicely, was hyped as being "cerebral" at one point, I never saw him in that light. Mike Leach pulled him in a game in favor of Tyler Hilinski (freshman? --QB that recently committed suicide), because he just wouldn't pull the trigger and get the ball to his receivers. Would hate this draft if this happened just off of the Falk pick.

*sigh* Embarrassing and sad. Couldn't have picked a better time. Hope he's okay though.
