If you’re upset about the WR room - BLAME DIGGS
BurpleBull replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Said at season's that Khalil Shakir could replace Diggs and become a legit number one with Allen. Still feel that way. -
For those that don’t like the Coleman pick
BurpleBull replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
But he doesn't have great hands. I could see this pick going either way because Coleman isn't elite in any one area and because Allen gets the most out of receivers. Worried about the pick because he catches a bit of passes using his body, bobbles catches, which can lead to contact drops in key moments; he also doesn't have burner speed and defenders always seem to be right there with him. He's too similar to Gabe Davis (who was taken in the 4th rd.) to really feel great about the pick, but I feel like the pick could work out, because Allen can put the ball on him in a hurry, minimizing those drops that will take place in more physical play, he seems adept at creating enough space between himself and defender during battles for the ball, and despite reminding me of Davis he seems like a better route runner and is way shiftier in space than Davis. Hopefully the OC, Allen, and Coleman make it work, otherwise this will likely go down as another offensive selection that was made a round or two too early. *Leaning on side of it working out* -
I like what I saw in his clips. Will contribute the pass rush.

Y'all were fine with Cook being taken 2nd rd. despite knowing his lack of real physicality, then later turned around to began complaining, asking 'does he ever break a tackle?', but have a problem with Ray Davis being taken in the 4th. Seems about right. We actually needed to draft an RB, and we did. He's a nice complement to Cook.

The Saga Continues!!!!!

I swear this only adds to the feel that the Chiefs are an A-1 org who are all about adding new trinkets and getting a leg up on the rest of the league, while the Bills feel like experts at foolishly relinquishing advantages that they had a hold of. This is what happens when fans get bigheaded before winning a championship, acting as if they have luxury, and turning on their own before even being found guilty of an accusation. Whether Araiza sticks or not, this just feels perfect with the Chiefs being at the other end.

This is the one thing I've never really been able to stand on the board. We all watch the same game, but it isn't until it seems were in dire straits that people will begin acknowledging what's kind of obvious. I feel uneasy before every meaningful Bass kick and have felt that way for some time.

Surprised you didn't earn a restriction from Simon for making this thread. I'm trying to determine what really earns you a strike around here.

Will Sherfield be better in the #2 role than Davis???
BurpleBull replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't suggest Diggs wasn't still an elite WR, but if there's any truth to these rumors he might not return, and yes, I do hope he finishes his career with Allen. I don't see anything that suggest Khalil Shakir couldn't be a #1 WR. He can emerge if Davis remains out, and then it will become evident that he's the more consistent, reliable WR between himself and Davis. If Diggs didn't return and we moved forward with the current WR roster, I think Shakir would be Bills' best WR. -

Khalil Shakir looks like he could be Diggs' replacement if he doesn't return next season. Davis just isn't good enough to be a reliable #2. I'm giving the nod to Shakir over Sherfield if the team's trying to line the next best WR up across from Diggs. -
Yup, and he's not handling it well at all. Allen has the stronger arm, doesn't act like a spoiled brat that's owed something, and his voice doesn't sound weird. We have the better quarterback.

Bills open Justin Shorter's Practice Window
BurpleBull replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shorter looks like a possession receiver at worst, but I'll take a WR who can keep the chains moving or keep the yards-to-go low. His hands strike me as being good in open space and decent when challenged. Route running on short to intermediate routes appears to be one of his stronger attributes; doesn't look like a speed demon, but he's gotten on top of his man a few times in his highlights. It'll be interesting to see how he produces if given an opportunity to be on the field with the other guys on offense. Gabe Davis just doesn't separate easily or regularly enough, at over 6'3", Shorter could make life easier for him and Diggs if he can add to the receptions count. If there's anybody that can make Shorter look better than advertised--- if his highlight attributes hold up--- it's Josh Allen. -

Who is and what do you mean by "grasping at straws"? -
You don't know how excited I was to have both Bass and Araiza on Special Teams heading into the season. We were must-see TV on every side of the ball. I believe we had the most dynamic kicker-punter combo in football. Come on Coach McDermott, give Araiza a second, third, and even fourth chance like we used to with Peterman back in the day.

Mahomes crying the entire post-conference interview about Toney being called for the infraction. Whining about how Kelce won't get the enjoyment of seeing his throw be replayed on ESPN a million times. Guess this is the reaction of his team not getting calls or having calls go against them. If dude doesn't get fined something heavy for criticism of the refs, I swear.

Leonard Floyd is what Von Miller was supposed to be
BurpleBull replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Damn, you dump on Von Miller but make no direct mention of him in the actual post. The man had a major injury, but was every bit of effective when he was healthy. You won't give the benefit of the doubt? -
HBD??? Heck kinda well-wishing is that???

Is this a real person? Sounds like a Create-a-Player inspired by Shaq Lawson and Leonard Floyd.

Unless I misread things, his numbers looks solid. Started 25 fewer games than Tre'D and has only two fewer passes defended. Stats suggests he physical. Good PFF score too.
