Peterman seemed to get the ball to Kelvin Benjamin a bit when he did play, he's had time to build somewhat of a rapport with Zay Jones during the Senior Bowl and I'm sure during practices last season and he also had really good chemistry with Nick O'Leary who I think is the Bills best receiving TE. I can see the offense rallying around a much improved Peterman, as it remembers his personal struggles and the struggles of the passing game as a whole under Dennison and Taylor. I think Peterman could move ahead of McCarron, while Josh Allen waits in the wings continuing to develop.

Nathan Peterman will win the starting QB position barring injury. He'll be much improved from last season. Excited about Josh Allen as the starting QB, but Peterman is the guy people aren't talking about right now who will have everyone talking by the end of training camp. He's worked on his mechanics, is said to have added velocity to his throws, has a lot to prove and is no stranger to struggling early in his career and picking himself up. A little talked about fact concerning Peterman is that he's right up there with Allen as Bills QB's who've scored high on the Wonderlic test for those who equate the test to mental sharpness. I still hold to the belief that Peterman was at the very least a third round prospect in his draft class. Peterman will be the guy. So this is how I have it panning out... 1. Peterman 2. McCarron 3. Allen With Allen at three for his protection as he starts out his young career.

Harrison Phillips Senior Stats vs Suh
BurpleBull replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Easy. Suh was a once-in-every-generation talent out of college --- Phillips wasn't. With that said, the Phillips pick is huge because it sets the Bills up with an anchor in the d-line for years to come when it appeared that the Star Lotulei signing would serve somewhat as insurance after K. Williams retired. Phillips I thought would go in the 2nd rd for sure, but I also believed he could be drafted late 1st rd. Phillips still being around by the time the Bills picked again in the 3rd. rd is probably the biggest "gift" of all the Bills picks. However, if you have a hard time remembering why Suh was thought of so highly, just look at his Combine numbers. -
Am I the only one who has confidence in our WR's?
BurpleBull replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay Jones and the health of Benjamin and Clay will be key to any success in the passing game. I don't like not having an established speedster who can separate from defenders starting at WR. But I feel good about the backups. I really think Austin Proehl will be the team's slot receiver of the future. Maybe the Bills' version of Wes Welker. Robert Foster has good size, speed, and ties to Daboll so there's that. Maybe Brandon Reilly takes a step up. I like the potential of the reserves more than the starters. Lastly I really hope Nick O' Leary or Logan Thomas can snatch the starting job from Clay. -
Tell me about it...you clearly have no clue of what you're talking about.

I though the best question was when he asked if Firebow was the correct pronunciation of Firebaugh after fist- pumping Allen for being from Firebaugh. That's when I knew he was being a prick.

Not even. I actually felt Rosen and Allen were the two of the big 5 QB's who displayed one of the most important traits needed to be a successful NFL QB while in college despite Allen's low completion percentage and meager production in a smaller conference. I was a proponent of drafting Rosen because his stats suggested that he the more accurate of the two by far. When Allen was drafted I immediately began watching more videos on him to pick out the other traits that may have justified the selection in the minds of those who made the pick and so that I could be more accepting of the pick. I'm all in with Josh Allen as the Bills QB. Given Rosen's personality he would have been perfect for this situation. That's all.

Yeah and you'd be the one to show me door I'm guessing? Mr. Pro-Josh Allen-from-the-start himself. I can assure you that I didn't become a Bills fan via you and won't be going anywhere at your suggestion...lol.

Groooss! Dude! That was like sooo Commonsense.

Josh Rosen would have done it better.

He didn't really put anybody in check. In fact he had more the look of a kid on a playground trying to avoid being goaded into taking up the schoolyard bully's invitation to a fight than a guy full of swagger. Not saying Allen doesn't have thick skin (I hope he proves to), I just don't see what you see...at least not from this video. Really sucks that they'd be poking at one of the more unassuming rookie QB's this early on. Now if they tried the slick talk with the other Josh... Video's probably going viral in a few hours and Cardinals' fans are feeling like proud papas and mamas.

Former Bills OC has Final Exam grades for top 6 QBs
BurpleBull replied to racketmaster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was trying to gauge the accuracy of Fairchild's assessment because he's offering an in-depth breakdown of each QB and speaks so well of Allen but I don't know how much stock can be fully placed in his analysis despite all the good things he expresses about Allen. I'm willing to buy that Allen's stat struggles are a result of a poor supporting cast, but become a little iffy on Fairchild's analysis somewhat when checking Mason Rudolph's breakdown to see if he would mention some of the flaws in his game that I saw and see none of them really highlighted. Rudolph's ball placement isn't great all the time despite having one of the better career completion percentages among the QB's, as he threw the ball too high for his receivers to make a play after the catch at times (including passes to Marcell Ateman, 6-4 WR). I chalked it up to him being a taller QB with a higher release point. He also doesn't appear to have great pocket awareness at times; there were plays where he'd be so stuck on his receiver downfield that he didn't notice the defensive pressure of a four-man rush whatsoever, was sacked, and stripped of the football. He gives Rudolph pretty good scores across the board except for when it comes to his mobility. I can buy that Allen will have greater success in the NFL being surrounded by better players given his abilities, it sounds fair, but I'm unsure of the accuracy of Fairchild's complete assessment. -

Which Bills Decision Infuriated You?
BurpleBull replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does that even mean? Promise is promise whether you think it showed in just the 1st half or 2nd half of a rookie season. I'm pretty confident that they moved him because of injury concerns after he missed the entire next season and not because of the final eight games of his rookie season. -

I honestly was still in shock that they would trade Alonso after he showed so much promise as a rookie even with McCoy being the player they swapped for. -

Just seeing the Eagles get quality Bills' players again and again whether through trades or signings really got under my skin. -

Thurman Thomas. Fred Jackson, Travis Henry, and Karlos Williams for their production. CJ Spiller, Marshawn Lynch, Willis McGahee, and Antowain Smith for the hope they brought along with the occasional really big game.
