It was actually a dream I had and wasn’t based on anything logical.

Not being overly conservative is the key. Bills are 6-1 when Josh throws a pick. And that one game was that horrific Pats game. Being afraid to be bold, be aggressive, take a few shots, is deadly. This is the playoffs. Playing overly cautious will be a sure way to lose. I think they should mix in no huddle even if its just one drive to be aggressive in Qtr 1 and then use the pass and play action to set up the run. The defense isn’t tired at the start of a game and Josh needs to get into a rhythm early. Beasley and Knox early in Qtr 1. Then lots of Singletary, Jet sweeps, and crossing patterns the rest of the game. I would dress Duke but I don’t expect him to have more than 2 catches. They need decent TE play in this game.

I would run right at JJ. Go ahead and bring people down with that sore peck and lack of football tackling timing. Don’t let him pursue, attack him and wear his butt out.

He will only be back if we can’t get Lawson at a decent price or getting a quality FA. We all know we are also likely drafting a DE in the first 3 rounds if not also chasing one in FA.

The Texans have that albatross of one and done that they want to get rid of. They will be more motivated than we give them credit for. We need to get up on them early, play with a lead and dictate the game. We can’t play 16-13 rope a dope IMO, especially if Fuller plays. I hope we pressure that OL.

Rewatch the game and look at Sweeney’s poor blocking and in some cases avoidance of blocking. There is a big reason he had been sitting. Now I dislike Lee Smith and know he won’t be on the team next year but unless we have a swing tackle on the team that can block and play TE also, Sweeney’s role is that of a blocking TE. He just isn’t ready for that yet. He won’t dress this postseason and shouldn’t. Wr already have 2 quick pass catching TEs and Sweeney is slow.

I did mistake what what you were saying about Singletary. That’s on me for reading between the lines incorrectly. Sorry. I still think Yeldon dynamic play ability < Murphy and that he hasn’t proven much to me in the few games they dressed him. He has better open field ability than Gore, but so does much of the NFL. I saw Gore run with extra intensity today and I hope he has been saving it for the playoffs because he looked more dynamic in the first 4 weeks than he has lately. Honestly, I would dress Yeldon and Gore and Duke and never dress Foster or Perry but I assume that Yeldon and Duke are teams liabilities and that matters to this team. You can’t be a RB3 or a WR4-5 and not play teams.

Sorry Luka but what is your exact point ? I keep trying to read between your incongruous takes but I can’t. If you are saying Yeldon is not as much a fumbler as people make him out to be, I agree. Saying he is a big playmaker based on his 2.6 yards per carry today is a stretch. Don’t know what you are basing his production on. You have proven me wrong though....

I think it’s possible Lynn in LA bites it so they can let Brady pick his new coach. You know the hot new rumor is that is where Brady wants to play his last 1-2 seasons since they have good WR talent, a good defense and will be rebuilding their QB situation soon. Maybe he drags his OC with him?

And Williams has been not dressed because he is a WR4-5 and anyone over age 10 knows you need to play special teams if you are a bottom receiver like he is. He’s big and tough but maybe he can’t tackle ...... we certainly know Foster is a crap WR so Dukes special teams ability must suck big time.....

Dear Daboll, If you take the Panthers HC job, please take some established leadership with you. I think a good start would be Star for defense and Pat D + Lee Smith for Offense. No he fumbled right in front of me at the Cinci game...... his upright running style is a feast for savvy defensive players punching balls out. He tried at least 3 hurdles today while fighting for 1-3 yard gains, which is another way to lose a ball. They should have kept Marcus Murphy if they wanted plays. He made plays in runs, catches and returns yet we cut him. All to keep their 27 year old gimmick UK rugby guy that can’t even dress. That really was a poor GM decision.

Garrett only survives if they somehow make it to the playoffs and then in to the NFC championship or SB. Anything less and he is gone.

We need to win a playoff game this year. Then next year it helps us get free agents, we need to get back to the postseason again and take out shot at unseating NE again. I truly believe Brady is leaving NE or the NFL after this season or next so it’s time we start becoming the bully in our division. Losing in the first playoff game just suggests, maybe incorrectly, that we were a product of our schedule and may remove some of the credibility/belief we need to have a great year next year.

I found it rude when some of them were calling WGR to rub in our loss last week. Time for us to call WEEI and ask them why they can’t beat the Dolphins at home....

What I saw from Miami was crossing patterns and slant patterns. I only saw a single Duke catch today on those routes. So you didn’t make any points with me in this thread. Also, I didn’t see the Parker dancing around after every 7 yard completion like he had just surpassed Jerry Rice...... I like Duke, but he is a complimentary player at best and will never be a top2 WR in our offense.
