@KyleBrandt - "I want Amari Cooper in Buffalo.

First and second pick for Ruggs is $15 million less and would still yield regular 1400-1600 yard seasons..... screw the extra pick, go big or go home -

I have a variation on this. Spend 2 of the top 3 picks on Ruggs and then a RB. Clowney is tailor made to our defense. He can play stand up, you can move him around to both sides. We could be tough but also unpredictable with him and Edmunds being moved all over the field. -
Mims is somewhere in between 2-3. His knock is consistency. Heard he drops some balls and is also more raw than others. He may go as high as top of second and as low as bottom of 4th but I doubt we get him with a 4th

If Jax tags their DE then we can definitely do a deal with them. If that were true they would be sniffing the goal line more...... He gave up zero sack in his last 11 games and got a top 5 grade from PFF. We got sacks up the middle!!!!! OT does stop DTs...... You don't think he wouldn't be our best RT since forever? Name a single decent RT we have had that made a pro bowl... -
The funny thing is now I really do look at what conference they play in. If they are SEC they have played much better competition and it will show up earlier in the NFL when players are still cost controlled.

Shenault having core surgery per CBS sportsline....... one more reason NOT to draft him....

I totally agree. I just quoted the same about Denver on another post. They are 100% WR. Colts are the question mark. -
Possibility of trading up to #16 (Atlanta)
Locomark replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You will have to get to 12/14 to get the next best WR IMO. Denver will be picking one because they need offense. I don’t feel there is a 3rd best edge or CB worthy of a trade down to 16 in his draft. Can’t wait until FA, because then we will know our true cards. -

Fully agree. I think there will be a run on QBs, and OTs. If one of of top board WR1s gets to 13/14 it could get interesting. -
Cover 1 Ruggs is more than just speed
Locomark replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If we land an OT and then a DE in FA then we are in on Ruggs who could get easily to 11-20 due to all the QB needs. I like Jefferson who I think can play outside and slot. If this team could get their hands on a Ruggs or Jefferson we would be awesome. If we had our OT and DE going into the draft, I would give up our 2nd for a 4th to go up and get Ruggs. -

Yes they are a mess. That’s why I don’t think they draft a WR1 in round 1....Too many other needs. I think thy will go OT or DE depending on FA. -

I would rather we spend big on either OL or DL because we know we can always take our shot at a WR1 in the loaded draft. Anyone saying we can get Diggs or Cooper are kidding themselves. I think Conklin makes sense because OL tends to play into their mid 30s so the investment is longer term and he is proven. DE tends to be a shorter window of production for a big price tag. -

Yesterday on the combine coverage on NFL network they said the Jets will have to be active in FA and stockpile in the draft because they are in “Noah’s Ark mode”....they need 2 of everything. ? -
Did you watch his lack of agility on the combine drills. It speaks to exactly what you say here. He certainly doesn’t have the Jerry bend. We don’t need another mediocre end to waste a high pick on IMO.

2020 mock drafts/ fanspeak/ draft network

If we got Lamb at 22 I would personally send you a Keg...... -
I agree with not trading up unless it is Ruggs or Lamb and it isnt going up too far. I am not OK with BPA if its not an area of need. I don't want some guard or MLB or S just because he is BPA. This year should be BPA in a position of need!

I love how they interviewed Wirfs and Ruggs. They would have need some wacky things to happen move anywhere near far enough to draft them. To move to 13 we would need to give up our 2nd rounder outright. I just don't think we do that although I would do it for either of those 2 guys since that would be our LT/RT or our WR1 as a given. I cant see either of them lasting past 15. . For instance the value chart on draftec says we would need to trade our 4th and two 5ths to move up a lousy 2 spots, so giving away low picks won't yield squat in round 1 without adding an actual player in the deal. I would love any subset of : Higgins/Reagor/Jefferson/Mims + Matos / Kinlaw + Johnson(CB) / Akers / Helaire / Moss as our top 3 picks....... something tells me our 4-6 rounders are all in play this year. I would also take a flyer on Osborn the transfer from UB if he lasts into 5-6 depending on how the draft falls. That kid can play and tracks balls downfield very well. He was better than Johnson on UB last year and no one gave him credit for it.

AC/DC Petition to play Superbowl halftime.

I agree but then how the hell does anyone explain Maroon 5 the year before.....that was neither good nor visual -
I guess just trusting my own eyeball test, I just don't see the explosiveness and game speed necessary for Laviska to be a solid WR1 in the NFL. I think he dominated in a weak conference and will be a decent WR2 in the NFL. We already have that. We need more than a gadget player who can dominate Colorado State or Stanford. We need a bona fide #1. We must hit a homerun on whatever WR we pick, not just get a "value" pick or we will be a perennial wildcard team IMO. Truthfully I would take Higgins and even Jefferson before this kid. I bet Jefferson will not get past the Pats if Brady stays. All he does is make plays. That kid is a young Andre Reed sneaky good prospect. Higgins is very productive and has that length and stride that reminds me of Lofton. Now I am not saying either will have those careers, but I highly doubt either makes it past the first 15 picks of round 2. This is a league that rewards teams with the most playmakers on the most sides of the ball. We need to take a WR #1 unless we are absolutely in love with the DE prospects left. If we are waiting on round 2/3 for a WR then I would go with Mims from Baylor followed by the big kid from USC because I think they better prospects. Either way you watch the games on many of these guys and many look good and bad depending on opponent. I trust their Front Office, so now it is almost time to see what they do with FAs to see exactly what holes are truly left for the draft. We all know WR will be a draft need but everything else in round 1 is dependent on FA. The only way I take BPA this year is if the BPA is light years ahead of the WR1 on the board.

I would much rather have the Foo Fighters since half of AC/DC is now dead... it like the Grateful dead playing now. It is just not the same...... -
I agree with the both your point on the schedule AND with expectation that we better win the division this year. We need to stop treating this team like the Sabres and have higher expectations. I didn’t like that Sean went on NFL network and didn’t say a thing about challenging the Pats when asked. He just said stay humble after last year. We need some swagger. Don’t promise the division but starting including an expectation that we expect it to go to the wire for once.

Gameday Thread Titans @ Chiefs AFC Title

So much for “defense travels”....if we are going to compete for SB in the near future we need at least 2 new major offensive weapons.
