  1. There will be no WR trades. We have a cap issue and we have a major personnel issue at DT next year that needs fixing. They will draft one and hope Shakir or one of the newbees pan out. I truly think they will be fine and they will run more and also use Knox more. Our offensive skill positions are not worse than what KC had last year, but our line was that is what they care about. Best case is somehow the 2 new guys plus draft guy X look good at guard and you can move Bates to C so Morse can get moved with his cap hit. Then next year we can invest in DT.
  2. Just like every other business, they are evolving. So many people turn to podcasts or YouTube to see/hear topics they care about every day, listen to the team or headline they want to know about, and then turn it off! Few get good ratings for sports talk anymore. I am not sitting through a 3 hour show of crap about the same media favs Rodgers and Lamar and Jerry Jones and OBJ so I can hear 5 minutes about the Bills or something I really care about. I will go to a podcast or YouTube, search for the Bills, Sabres, etc. and even by topic within that Podcast and be done 15 minutes later. Sorry but if you have time to have a job, watch 4 hours of sports TV every night and watch a game(s) and still have any form of life you must not sleep. All these sports networks are super bloated and their staffs should be sliced. Even McAfee doesn’t need 3 random guys in his room. It’s dumb. Jimmy Johnson is an example of a guy who hasn’t said a meaningful thing on a Fox broadcast in years but there he sits forever. Slice away networks!!!!
  3. But the combo on no Von and 50% of our LBs being an unknown is a big deal. I didn’t call it gigantic, but it’s worth a game off the line. We could easily go 11-6 next year. We went 4-2 in the division last year and our division is better and we may be worse. If we go 3-3 in our division, which is possible, that’s still 8-3 against everyone else.
  4. That is a very fair line looking at our schedule and knowing we have no one at MLB and likely won’t have Von in September.
  5. Don’t draft a WR this year in the first 3 rounds unless an awesome prospect falls in your lap and trade back from round 1. They are a dime a dozen every year and we need LB, DL, OL, and safety depth much more. Especially since our interior DL will be thin next year with 3 contracts expiring. Draft WRs (multiple) next year.
  6. Patrick Queen avoids contact more than any MLB I have seen. He makes our departed MLB look like Dick Butkus. He plays like a free Safety. No thanks!
  7. Right now we better address DT. We have our 3 main interior guys on expiring contracts and one wants to be highly paid and is undersized and yet has underperformed his high draft status.
  8. 1 Brady 2 play rookies at corner, which we seem terrified to do 3 something this fan base is often unwilling to do, which is sell off favorite players before they go downhill or become wildly overpriced. The winning Pats would have also let Tremaine go. They would have never brought back Cole. They would have already cut Mitch coming into this year and replaced him with Bates.
  9. I like that plan very much, but my gut says they are convinced to keep Morse at center this year, so it’s possible they may be drafting that new center this year. If so, they don’t need Bates. They will draft a kid, use him at guard and trade Bates to Chicago and then move the kid to Center next year. There are a few 2nd/3rd rounders who could fit this.
  10. This team lost last year because its trenches are weak, and now it also needs a MLB. Fix those above all else because you can draft WRs every year like water IMO.
  11. He will flourish on that team since they love that short TE passing.
  12. If they draft a quality guard, Bates may be traded for a pick and cap space.
  13. I think your roster spots are really good but I think the draft may go very unusually. I always thought it would be WR/MLB/OT round 1 but they may shock us and they may also trade back a few times and go bulk. I think they may really go for multiple DTs looking at the contract situations and ages on our interior DL.
  14. Green Bay has them both over a barrel. They don’t have to hand him over for nothing. They want something of value or they can tell him he can’t go. It’s funny because Rodgers pulls crap on them every offseason so they are pulling crap on him now! I hope they are asking for players and not just picks.
  15. Only Dawand would likely be there worthy of 27. It has been widely stated that as many as 5 OT will go in round 1. Therefore I wouldn’t push for one in Round 2 since it will probably be a reach position and not a BPA at our need positions.
  16. The Drew Sanders comparable on one of the sites was Tremaine LOL You think we can’t cover TEs now…..
  17. Whichever guy we sign in a few weeks at $4-5 million to be an experienced DE pass rusher while Von heals.
  18. I heard the hype on Campbell from Iowa at MLB, but then watched his videos and he looks way too slow to play in our 2 LB defense. Reminds me of He’s a very tall good tackler (Like the old Bills and Jag MLB Paul Pozluzny-tackling machine who couldn’t cover) but I don’t see him covering the ground we need him to. Sanders is more of the model of what we like at LB. Smith or Branch at Safety in round 1 is OK for the future but I prefer they wait until round 3 and snag the IL safety then since he will be a backup and I want a day 1 contributor in round 1. I don’t see any worthy CB or DL falling this far that isn’t a round 2 player and I don’t want the short quick Pitt DL who is Oliver part 2. Been there, done that.
  19. All we need from Harris is to run in Buffalo like he ran in Buffalo for the Pats. I like his style for this offense but I don’t remember much about his pass blocking.
  20. Let’s hope he looked at video and reminded himself that he had like 5 total crossers or slants in the last 8 games.
  21. Wow a prove it deal with a dog team, he certainly wasn’t getting the love was he?
  22. Right, he wont need $20 million to get 1000 yards…and won’t be making a first round playoff exit. 😀
  23. Love having Harty, Sherfield, and Shakir as guys that can line up anywhere and all can run crossers !!! We will be a lot more dangerous downfield this year.
  24. They saved $600K on Settle restructure is what I heard. source: Per ESPN's Field Yates, the Buffalo Bills have agreed to a restructured contract with defensive tackle Tim Settle, one that is set to save them approximately $600,000 in cap space.
