Sounds crazy but Jon Feliciano might not re-sign
Locomark replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mongo shows his emotion and that what stirs up the fans but when you watch his play you see him for what he is..an average guard that is replaceable. So they won’t be overpaying him. -
Breaking: Daryl Williams signs 3 year extension
Locomark replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know under $10mil per for a market where RTs can get upwards of 12-15 is a friggin steal. This was a fair deal for both sides. See what winning does to keep contracts fair!!! -

Aussie Joe that was me... I will eat my flip flop as the guy in GR once said. This was a great thing for them to do. It just means no spending on a DE. -
I never did. Milano is a niche role that is hard to find. We already have big $ invested in LT so it stands to reason we will want a cheaper RT to balance the $ on Oline $. They are more likely to pay an established guard, draft a RT and then if the draftee isn’t good enough you have Cody as a backup plan. It’s cheaper.

Because they have been awful at picking front office hockey people. For some reason they surround the football front office with a deep staff of knowledgeable football people even their assistant GMs could be true GMs. For hockey they hire a soccer coach, an amateur GM, and a smaller scouting staff than they used to have. They should be seeking a deep knowledgeable hockey staff. They keep going for cheap bs’ers and it shows. Now no FAs want to come here, which makes rebuilding worse. They need to clean house in the front office again and bring in proven hockey people for once or just sell the team because they suck at hockey management.

Beane's salary cap management

Samuel would be a big upgrade and give you the gimmick play ability of McKenzie. He also buys you time so that when Davis’s time for a deal comes up, it would be around when you are looking to move on from Cole. I just wouldn’t go beyond $10 per for him. -

General History and where I am at with the Bills.
Locomark replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Appreciate the long fandom.. I too was born in that general time period and got my first taste of going to Bills games to see them play Miami every year starting in the later 70’s so I became diehard at learning about tearjerking losses when Dempsey shanked a game winner at the home opener one year and then a few years later got the exhilaration of the rip down the goalposts game. I learned early the Bills will be full of highs and lows. -
Go get this guy!!! (Kyle Long returning)

[Vague Title] Is this it with cuts/restructures?

They could push more of White’s and Dawkins’ money as a this year Bonus up front to push the hits into the future. That is a tool that would give us much more flexibility this year. -
Mitch Morse Re-Works Contract per Ian Rapoport

I have to believe that the Bills have some void clauses in there now to protect against injury opt out should he suffer more concussions and be told he can’t play forever. They can’t be on the hook for long term cap hits if he is told to stop playing. -
If/When we sign a FA TE, who's most likely
Locomark replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everett or Cook is the most likely but I would like Smith because he is the pick of the litter and a great value. -
If I’m the GM I keep McKenzie or I sign Samuel or both. I am assuming they dump Brown. Roberts I think will last 1 more year. They need to groom a slot replacement for Cole now to be the FT starter in 3 years. No one knows what we have in Hodgkins. This team needs 5 solid full time WRs because of all the passing we do. We need speed !!

Sorry but we will need that first pick for our RT. Williams will be getting big money that we can’t afford. We need a RT more than a LB. Do we not remember how bad it was when we had journeyman RTs before??

Free Agents We Should Be Looking At
Locomark replied to wagne591's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder do the Bills go after someone like the Chiefs Breeland as their Veteran CB this year? The reason I pick him besides I think he is an upgrade over Norman is: a) he comes from a winner and b) he knows everything about the Chiefs receivers and offense and that is important because we need to beat them twice next year. (once to get home field and likely twice to get into a SB) I heard Jags are going to sign 3-4 OL and have a boatload of cap money and are opening the bank to protect Lawrence. -

If Modon gets a big deal before FA, Williams is likely the top RT which means he will get $12-14 from a team like Jax and I don’t believe we will pay that. That would be too much spend in our two tackles. That means we will be drafting that RT in round 1 IMO and paying Feliciano or another guard in FA. -

Ngakoue sucks against the run but does force turnovers. I question if we need to fork over big money for a guy who is fairly one dimensional when there are 4-5 other really good young age pass rushing options on the market this year at a $5-6mil less lower price (Okwara, Carl Lawson, Henrickson) and we will likely need another DE in a year or 2. -
We already have a deliberate not fast guy who can catch who is 10 years younger and wears #89... we need a game breaker at this posiiton.

Diggs after game watching KC ceremony....

Thanks for the insult fellow Bills fan. Greatly appreciated... -
I agree with this concept of youth is cheaper but let’s remember this team signed Spain for $5million, who is a guy they cut mid season. So that gives you a baseline value. So I can easily say Mongo is better than Spain, and was very competent at center, which is a must have backup role, and is probably valued at 6-6,5 if he takes that for 3 years with a Beane friendly out clause he comes back. This happens along with a Morse restructure. Heck he may even be out starting bridge center is a year or two. He is a slightly above average guard but with a with a high team component but the biggest factor is they need 1 more year to figure out what they have in Ford.

I really like this. If I were the Bills HC, I may have had my whole team stand at the 20 yard line and watch the whole thing... sorry but even pro athletes need to see this sometimes....
