  1. So I saw this question on Twitter & thought I'd ask it here just for fun. What 3 players from 2000-2017 era of no playoffs would you guys choose to replace a current roster member with? Also, which specific known starters would you replace with them? ********** 1. Takeo Spikes, LB - He normally played ILB, but I'd replace Milano as I'd prefer to see him & Edmunds on the field together. But if it came down to it, I'd take him over Edmunds too. 2. Ruben Brown, LG - He sometimes was called "overrated" by fans, but the guy made 8x Pro Bowls & 4x 2nd team All Pro on the Bills. He made the playoffs, but he played for us until signing with the Bears in 2004. I'd replace Ryan Bates & hope Saffold can play RG 😁 3. Marshawn Lynch, RB - There's a lot of good picks for RB, but I think having a really powerful, hard to tackle back that can get those tough yards would be best. I know the conventional wisdom would suggest someone good at catching the ball & be a dual receiving threat, but I think Lynch would kill it in this setup. The field is so spread out, he'd have a field day, and Josh would be the additional running threat if plays break down. Plus, there are just those short yardage situations you'd prefer to have Lynch over a QB sneak or a more shifty guy like Shady. ********** Anyway, I really wanted to put Kyle Williams on the list, or an underrated guy like Terrance McGee who was a strong CB & ST guy (CB in particular has some nice candidates), but these are the 3 I'd love to take most.
  2. Of course not... He will be loved by many fans for his enthusiasm & support for the city, but the teams he lead did nothing.... He likely holds individual franchise records of some sort (can't be bothered to look), but nothing significant & no playoff births. He does hold a great moment in my heart, & defeating the Patriots while Brady was still there will always be a great memory to me
  3. Good question, though I'm sure plenty of schools don't have them. Ours does, but I see people think they're being polite holding the door open for others all the time, especially end of day when people are coming to pick up their kids.
  4. I'm in shock... Just got an email from work with the subject line "about the school shooting," and about had a heart attack. I work at a a Texas Elementary School, so it quickly hit me how close to home this is. Especially after what happened in Buffalo, it's like all aspects of life are being touched by gun violence, & it's truly devastating. Nowhere is safe anymore, I just wish we could put tribalism aside & come together to find a solution.
  5. He's going to be the first ever player to hold out for a roof on a new stadium. What a community guy!
  6. I know it's unimportant, but that thread title... "fairly significantly," maybe probably annoys me 😅
  7. I almost hope they have to rely on Baker Mayfield after completely burning that bridge, then he goes on to have an MVP type season just before peacing out on them 🤣
  8. Definitely a bold prediction. Feel like I should bookmark this in case you're right, as I haven't heard anyone suggest that. I'm more in line with media "experts" suggesting the AFCW could have all 4 teams in the postseason lol In reality, I don't think that'll happen unless the rest of the AFC just underperforms significantly, though 3 teams seems doable. I think the East, West & South get 2 teams, the North gets 1. I don't have much faith in the Browns or Steelers, though if I had to pick 1, I'd still pick Tomlin to figure it out over the Browns. The Ravens could be fighting for the division too, but that's all dependent on Lamar staying healthy. Cincy would still be my favorite. So there's my way too early, not very bold prediction 😆
  9. One of the bigger reasons I really wanted a covered stadium of some kind... I'd LOVE to see what Josh's stats would be if he had a guaranteed 8+ games in a dome. I feel like this version of the Bills would be like the Greatest Show on Turf 2.0.
  10. With the way our schedule starts off, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills be comparable to the 2021 Chiefs. They had a rough stretch of games & hovered around .500, with people constantly talking about how underwhelming they've been. But then they quietly started crawling back in, eventually finishing as the #2 seed after some were predicting they wouldn't even make the playoffs. I hope that doesn't happen to us, just that a few early losses during all these tough games wouldn't be shocking. Even if it happens, I wouldn't in any way count them out or think they couldn't run the tables from that point on though.
  11. Glad to see one of the posters on this board with "insiders" (or at least connections with some reliable people) can be trusted Was very happy to see your predictions come through. Thanks for sharing it with us & will be looking forward to anything else you share in the future!
  12. The Bills/Ravens Thanksgiving thing sounds fake to me. Bills vs Rams opener sounds awesome, so I hope it's legit.
  13. What gets me is that they really only took 10 seconds off the clock... the final 3 were just the FG kick. They did all their damage & moved the ball into FG range in only 10 seconds... against the #1 defense 😢
  14. Still can't believe there were people advocating for us to take a punter in the first 3 rounds... Glad we have professionals like Beane & not fans (me included) running the show 😂
  15. Probably. Per ESPN Pre-Draft Scoring : Bernard: Grade - 62 / OVR Rank - 145 Shakir: Grade - 71 / OVR Rank - 102 So yeah, before the draft Shakir was definitely considered an overall better talent & graded as 3rd round type of prospect. Bernard was viewed as a later round pick. Fans would've likely been ok not knowing who a 5th round player even was 😅
  16. I thought I misheard that! Hopped on here hoping to confirm since I wasn't paying attention... Wow.
  17. Yep, that seems to be the consensus 🤣
  18. Ok, that was the most amazing draft guess speech I've ever heard! Please, bring him back EVERY year! 🤣
  19. It's weird to see we're only 15 picks in, but 4 teams have already selected twice. Lions, Texans, Jets & Giants. Must be nice? Or not...considering why they have 2 picks so early 😅
  20. The first name I thought of before I finished reading your post was Aaron Donald 😆 But since you already said that, I'll go with something weird & say an offense of all Gronks (assuming they're healthy). If he's got even a barely ok arm, coverage would be a nightmare, he's big enough to at least be noticed as a linemen, & big/powerful enough to get you a few yards on the ground if you need it.
  21. For the first time ever, I really don't have any assumptions or expectations going into the draft, & I kind of like that. It's weird, but it feels like going into a movie blind after avoiding all trailers 😊 Not sure why, but tried not to get too deep into everything this year, so I'm not attached to any handful of prospects or positions. Sure, every year I want us to snag more O-linemen, but outside of that, I'm just excited to see who's on the table when our number is called!
  22. It's a d*** move, but just sounds like a bad response to a breakup. I know some states have laws regarding stuff like that, but many have none whatsoever. And no, I'm not of the mindset of "shouldn't have taken the pics if you didn't want them getting out!" as that's just some lame excuse to deflect blame. But at the same time, I doubt 2 celebrities seeing some picture(s) will result in much damage requiring a monetary payout or subsequent action from the NFL. Yeeeeaaah.... THAT's why you want him to make a sex tape 😉
  23. I know this is pretty boring, but Tony Romo. Aside from simply enjoying the way he calls games, I absolutely loved seeing him shut up so many people in Dallas (where I lived during his playing run) showing how insightful he was. The guy kept the Cowboys from being an NFL bottom feeder for years, yet got far more blame for all their woes than deserved. Listening to the constant hate from friends & Dallas media made me start pulling for him as an individual. Seeing his best chance to win disappear due to injury & being replaced by rookie Dak just felt like yet another crap hand being dealt. But man did his move to the broadcast booth open people's eyes! Hell, even as a Romo appreciater already, I was still surprised about just great his vision, feel & knowledge of the game truly was. The way he can quickly process so many things & accurately assess what's unfolding (or what's about to unfold) is awesome, and the way he communicates it makes even less interesting games far more engaging. TL;DR - He doesn't have the resume or iconic legacy of others (yet), but Tony Romo is just a dude I appreciate above the rest.
  24. Morse has injury & concussion history, but as far as ability & skill, wouldn't place him at the top of the list in terms of weakest positions. O-line play as a whole has been mediocre though, so looking to improve it in any way would be nice to see. And Knox may not be Kelce-level, but few TE's are. He's certainly very capable & a legit TD threat at any given point, so I'd hardly say that position is 2nd worst on the squad either (adding OJ is nice, but don't quite think it moves the needle much either). I can at least understand most of the rest (aside from the "thumbs down to Milano" part).
