  1. I agree with your overall point about him likely headed to the PS, but how can you make all these assumptions with so few snaps in the NFL yet? For all we know, you could be 100% right or completely wrong. We should know from experience being passed in the draft doesn't mean much, especially for RB's... Most of us would agree Fred Jackson, a guy passed over by everyone, contributed more to the offense than CJ Spiller, a guy we spent a 1st round pick on. He only had one year as one of the 2 main guys splitting carries at Virginia Tech, & even then he only averaged about 9 carries a game... Yet the guy ended up with 760 yards & 5.7 ypc, as well as 250 receiving yards & 10 ypr in that single year. MAYBE he's great. We don't know. What we do know is he won't be given the same benefit of the doubt due to his draft status, even if he plays extremely well. An UDFA rookie basically has to massively overperform to push out one of the incumbents (in our case 2 incumbents), & it's even harder for him as he's competing for a spot on a team that just used a high round pick on another RB... So the odds are stacked against him, and I don't foresee him making the 53 man roster. I personally don't think Moss has shown enough during his time here that I'd be upset in any way to see him released/traded in favor of giving Blackshear a shot, but doubt that'll happen. **TL;DR** - All I'm saying is I don't see any way we can assume any of the bullet points listed above are accurate. The closest being James Cook ran a slightly faster 40 time, so sure, Cook is faster. Seriously... oh the irony 😅
  2. Damn, I didn't even remember that! Oops! Thanks for the heads up 😆
  3. Sorry Teef, I love your posts, but we didn't "easily" win the East considering it wasn't even decided until week 18 and were trailing the Pats by 2 games late into the season... "Easy," would be a comfortable lead nearly all season, locking up the division early, and not having to wait until week 16 to take the lead. I'm not saying the Bills need to be worried about or fear the Pats, HELL NO... only that given our soft 2nd half schedule we all expected us to cruise to an AFCE title & be contending for a bye if anything.
  4. That looks... pretty sweet actually. Seriously though, if freaking Miami's college team gets a nicer stadium than us, I'm gonna be PISSED 😂
  5. Reading into the results, that sim was completely awful though & shows just how awful Madden is at accurate, simulation football... Here are some of the best excerpts: *"Prescott had arguably the greatest regular season of any quarterback in NFL history in the sim, finishing with 5,649 yards, 57 touchdowns and completing 72% of his passes..." *"Cooper Kupp won Offensive Player of the Year after setting the single-season record for receiving yards with 2,114 (600 yards more than the simulation’s second-highest receiver, Robert Woods)..." *"Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby broke Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt’s sack record with 24.5 to win Defensive Player of the Year..." *"Mac Jones — 4,820 yards, 29 TDs, 70% completion percentage" *"Saints defeated the Chiefs, 34-14 to win the franchise’s second Super Bowl title..." ------------------------------------ So Dak breaks both of Manning's single season passing records, Robert Woods is the league's 2nd leading receiver, Maxx Crosby blows past the sack record that was JUST matched last season, & Mac Jones throws for damn near 5,000 yards... Oh, and the Saints win the Super Bowl... with Jameis Winston?! Please NFL, stop renewing your exclusive license with EA! 🤣
  6. This has been going on for years & isn't really anything new when it comes to simulation & sports. Not much different from all those "AI" or special computer sims ESPN has been doing forever (matched against their human picks).
  7. You're definitely not wrong, but you could single out plays people failed to make or completely botched for basically everyone. Over the course of each game (especially losses), there's a good chunk of penalties, blatantly missed opportunities, poor decisions, & failures created by many players involved. For instance, that Jags game you mentioned... everything you said about Ford is right. But one crappy linemen, even if he was ass all game, does not mean you should lose 6 to 9 against the Urban Meyer Jaguars! That takes a special kind of collective screwing up, from the very top with the coaches, down to the worst turds like Ford. My point was a subsect of fans tend to justify, excuse or overlook these things in their head when it comes to many of these guys. Even if Zay Jones was a colossal disappointment, flipping out at hotels & a waste of a 2nd round pick, you still had plenty of fans saying he just got a raw deal, QB play was inadequate, OC wasn't good, etc. etc. etc. Tyrod could throw for 65 yards against the Patriots or 57 yards in a game against the Saints... or go 3 years leading the league's 32nd-30th ranked offense, or have only 3 wins total in games where the Bills fell behind by even A SINGLE POINT at any time during the 4th quarter, or be completely incapable of throwing for 300 yards...... *deep breath*....... and still after 3 years think he was a franchise guy. But Cody Ford, well we all know he sucked, but the fact there isn't that subsect of people clinging to the fact he was a 2nd round guy & still excusing it really points out just how awful he had to have been🤣
  8. I drafted him fairly early in my Madden 23 timed trial, & Madden told me it was a good pick! Obviously, 2022 is going to be his most breakout, breakout year!
  9. Hate to be that guy, but the Rams were only offering him a 3 year contract with 2 years guaranteed, and the Cowboys were only offering 5 years, $70 million (with only 2 years guaranteed as well). Von stated repeatedly he would've gone to the Cowboys (almost even backed out after being flown here & hid in the bathroom for an hour while coaches tried to coax him out), but they offered so much less & the coaches really won him over. I don't think Josh was THE reason he came here, other than he wanted to play for a contender that would also offer him the most money... and Josh makes the Bills a contender.
  10. All I can say is I hope he absolutely destroys the Browns week 1! They deserve all the pain they brought on themselves, and hopefully Mayfield lights them up 😂
  11. Just a little brother being a little brother. Hate the team he plays for, and he's a bit overrated as of now, but I'm sure Lil' Diggs is a good dude.
  12. This was a really enjoyable interview. One thing that stands out to me is Josh's "PR" answers now seem much more confident. He's always said the right thing & given the usual diplomatic answer that doesn't say too much, but lately it sounds delivered by a guy who's in full command & control. I'm probably reading too much into it, but you can tell Josh has matured mentally just as much as he has physically.
  13. I mean Palmer isn't wrong... Bills fans do view him as the "savior," and football is ingrained in Buffalo's culture as a city. And with Buffalo being one of the smallest markets, coupled with its heartbreaking franchise legacy, Allen definitely has additional expectations & dreams of the entire region heaped upon him. We can say cliche things like "Allen puts more pressure on himself than anyone!" or "It comes with the territory of being an NFL QB!" but I think most of us who lived through the SB era & suffered through the drought know it's a BIT more complicated than that 😅
  14. I'd rather them just play it safe & let him sit the first 4 games. If they're still on the fence, better to just be cautious. It's a long, 17 game season. Bills have some tough early opponents, but "13 seconds" still stands as a painful reminder how important it'll be to have him as healthy as possible come playoff time.
  15. Skimming through this entire thread, I can't tell if people are more happy we got a 5th round pick for him or just that he's gone 😅 It's not that he was good or anything (understatement, I know), it's just that you often see a good amount of fans still clinging on to the potential & hope they COULD be good, just the Bills misused/ruined them. With Cody Ford, it appears nobody had any faith in him. Maybe it's because his poor play directly results in our beloved QB1 getting hit 🤣
  16. I mean, there's nearly 1,700 active players across the NFL, so being "ONLY" #11 is insanely impressive. What matters more to me is who is placed ahead of him. Josh is already ranked ahead of both the SB winning QB & the runner up QB from the AFC. He's obviously going to be behind Rodgers, Mahomes & Brady (which is fine to me), so who else do they have ahead of him? It's the players voting, so it's based on who they have the most respect for. My top 10 guess (in no particular order): 1. Aaron Donald 2. Aaron Rodgers 3. Derrick Henry 4. Tom Brady 5. TJ Watt 6. Patrick Mahomes 7. Davante Adams 8. Travis Kelce 9. Jalen Ramsey 10. Cooper Kupp We still don't have Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Myles Garrett, Trent Williams, Jonathan Taylor (I'd put him in top 10 over Henry at this point, but guessing players didn't), Micah Parsons or Deebo listed yet either. So if Allen is #11, these 10 are who I'd guess might be ahead of him.
  17. The real reason is betting. Rich people gambling need to know the info so they can drop even more money.
  18. I was about to say "or Mike McCarthy," but honestly, I think his role in Dallas's ineptitude is overblown. Dak is overrated, & Rodgers has blown it in the playoffs all without McCarthy there to blame. But anyway, BOOOO DALLAS! 😅
  19. Two return TD's in the same game, insane! Looks like the Cowboys got a real one.
  20. Patrick Mahomes : 12/19 for 162 yards & 2 TD's = 125.3 rating Case Keenum: 16/18 for 192 yards & 1 TD = 129.6 rating Clearly, Case Keenum is the superior player & needs to be the starter vs the Chiefs!
  21. He certainly earned the designated 4th-down-hard-count-guy, taking up EJ's mantle! C'mon Keenum! Get those undisciplined/over-eager linemen to bite! WE BILLIEVE!
  22. I know this is late, but you should listen to what Chris Simms has to say about Frazier. Basically insists the Bills defense has to rely on magician-like defensive scheming from Frazier to cover for the lack of actual talent & competent players outside the DBs. Says the Bills rely heavily on his pre-snap calls to scheme everyone into the right spots, otherwise the players aren't good enough to make plays on their own. Depending on what the offense does post-snap, everything could just fall apart if Frazier didn't 100% nail the lineup. Essentially he has to micromanage every detail in order to have success due to an inept pass-rush & porous run defense. Brought up having a #1 ranked defense that didn't scare anyone & didn't really challenge any offense that was in the top half of the league. Every team they played with an offense that wasn't in the dumpster, defense looked average (or just bad).
  23. I like how Von Miller wasn't even an option in the poll Guess even us Bills fans overlook that we have him since he's yet to play a game for us 😅
  24. Us fans tend to overrate our WR group quite a bit. Diggs massively carries it. Of course, Gabriel Davis has potential, but so far we've only seen some great games & standout plays. Now that veterans like Beasley, Sanders & even J. Brown are gone, we'll get to see where he really stands as a fulltime #2. I can't see the rankings for each team, but I'd guess we're not even #1 in our division & likely behind the Dolphins with Tyreek & Waddle (again, just a guess).
  25. Except if everyone posted like you, this message board wouldn't exist... It'd be all "That Bills News Today - Google it" Why even come to the board at all?
