Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)
BigDingus replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
As much as this really sucks from an on-field perspective, I'm relieved to hear it's not a career-ending injury. Best wishes to your recovery Micah! I'm sure knowing the season's over hurts you even more than it does us fans. 😢 -
When it comes to going for 2, I think it's just unnecessary risk that doesn't offer proportional reward. The Bills already opt to forego punting & go for it on 4th quite a bit, but in that scenario the reward is an extended drive leading to 3-6 points. Forgoing the PAT in favor of the 2 point conversion only earns us a max of just 1 additional point. I personally don't feel like it offers enough of an advantage unless they start showing they can consistently convert on short yardage situations.

Yeah, it's one of their more obvious weaknesses. Whether it be 4th & 1 or 3rd & 2, it seems they struggle when going for a short pickup of any kind. Those are also the plays opposing defenses best prepare for an Allen scramble too, so even that route is difficult.

Why I Want to Beat the Phins so bad this week
BigDingus replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do, as there were many times people in the media & around the league would point out the lack of "signature wins." 2019 - Patriots, week 4 (Bills were 3-0, playing at home against Tom Brady & the 3-0 Patriots). Didn't go well, Allen threw 3 x INT's, sacked 5 times & got injured. 2019 - Cowboys, Thanksgiving (Cowboys weren't great, but had a winning record). Allen played perfect, and put the Bills on everyone's radar 2020 - Chiefs, week 6 (Bills 4-1, coming off the COVID game, vs defending SB champs, 4-1 Chiefs). Team was still no-showing in the 3rd, Allen threw for 122 yards 2020 - Patriots, week 8 (Pats weren't good, but still the division's boogeyman). Got the monkey off our back & Allen's 1st win against the Pats! 2020 - Steelers, week 14 (Pittsburg was 11-1 going into it, big SNF game). Defense held them down all game, beat them down on primetime 2021 - Chiefs, week 5 (Obviously, biggest non-playoff game in ages for us). Bills came out & beat the brakes off the Chiefs in Arrowhead. Statement win. 2021 - Patriots, WC (It took until week 16 for us to reclaim the division lead, so many picked the Pats in an upset). Allen & co. put on a clinic, executing a virtually flawless performance & exorcising any demons of Belichick's Pats haunting the team. You could also throw in the 2020 WC against the Colts, as it marked both a return to Orchard Park in the post season and our first playoff win in decades. I'd argue all of these games, win or lose, meant more to the development of this team & were hyped up as signature matchups/statement games. They all highlighted where the Bills were improving, or where they needed to grow. And all of them had a significant impact on the Bills' reputation in national conversation. -
Blue Jerseys, White Pants for Miami. AKA, Tua's spanking uniform.
BigDingus replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really wish we could bring back the red helmets for this game, as it's the first time since the 90's in which both teams are fielding competitive teams again. -
Mafia descending on Miami, Phins fans not happy about it...
BigDingus replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
They live in Florida, and they nerve to act superior to ANYONE?! 🤣 And "hillbillies?" I live in Texas, and I can safely say there's nowhere I've seen more Hillbillies than in Florida, aside from possibly West Virginia... -
I already think he's criminally underrated, even by Bills fans. It's fortunate for us, because we get to keep him around for longer, but the guy is a great strategist & knows how to get the best out of his personnel.

Oliver, Philips, Hyde all out against the Dolphins.
BigDingus replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amusing how Dolphins fans online are posting "Look, Bills fans already making excuses!" under these injury articles... As if these players being out doesn't have a significant impact on the game? I'm sure if Tyreek Hill & Jalen Waddle were ruled out, they'd never even mention it right? 🙄 -
Micah Hyde seeking 2nd opinion on neck injury
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair enough, but we also can't pretend losing someone of Hyde's caliber isn't scary. Our secondary was massively improved the moment Hyde & Poyer got here. They've been crucial to the defense's success. I'm not thinking "sky is falling" yet or anything, only that Hyde's impact on this team can't be understated. -
Do you have a problem with fans standing the entire game?
BigDingus replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first Bills home game I ever attended, the guy behind me tried to fight me because I stood up & cheered when we finally made a big play... At first I thought he was kidding, but no, he legit started yelling at me for jumping up after a long Marshawn Lynch run (we were playing the 49ers in crappy weather, losing 10-3). We already had barely anything to cheer for, I was just excited to be watching the Bills IN BUFFALO for the first time, but nope, me standing up for a handful of good plays made another Bills fan pick a fight with me 😡 -
Hot take: Secondary will be fine this week vs the fish.
BigDingus replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the positivity, I'm just not that confident. Starting to think a lot of my "realism" is rolled over PTSD from the drought, but when I see obvious holes, I think the worst. We're starting 2 rookies to matchup against one of the best WR duos in the league. Hill has proven he can give us a lot of trouble. Our 7th round rookie beat out our 1st round rookie to start the first 2 weeks. The off-season reports of Elam's struggles were obviously real. Throw in Hyde likely being hurt, and you don't just play the same down an All-Pro safety + your 2 best CBs. I think we can still win, I just think this will be the first game the Bills are challenged defensively. Our offense is still our biggest strength, so I think we can win a shootout if it comes to that. But hey, I also thought the Titans game would be more competitive (still thought we'd win), so I'm not clairvoyant either 😅 -
NFL Week #2 9/18/2022 - Post Game Thread - Titans at Bills
BigDingus replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL has to stop putting the Bills in prime time if they want those competitive games like they had last year 🤣 -

That's fair. But really Mahomes is the only one I think can realistically be placed above him in terms of talent & being the total package athletically. -

Ok, we get it Matt, you're our best LB by a mile. Now sit yo a** on the sideline & stay healthy! 😁 -

Now we just need to pull some starters & avoid any additional injuries. I swear to god if we see Allen on any designed runs... 🤣 -

MILANO!!!! Man, aside from injuries, this game is legitimately CATHARTIC! Exorcising some demons & then some 🤣 -

I'm so glad I have both Diggs & Allen on my fantasy team! I was losing 93 to 66 going into tonight & my opponent still had Justin Jefferson. Now I'm up 139.5 to 98! Thanks team! -

Wish we at least TRIED to run... 3 RBs combined for 8 carries tonight. Allen has thrown 35 times. Give Singletary a chance! -

I usually don't get posts like this, but regarding Vrabel, I absolutely understand! The guy just always looks like such a prick! 🤣 -

Damn, hope Jackson is ok. What an awful way to get injured too, especially from your own player diving at an already downed player that YOU takcled? C'mon... As if we needed anymore injuries at CB too... 😓 -

Go figure, the Bills are still awful on 3rd & long. It's like an automatic gimmie for the opponent against this team... -

BigDingus replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Problem is the Bills have become too obvious with their rotation. Moss being in almost always signals to the defense exactly what's going on anyway... It'd be nice to see Singletary used in short yardage situations more often. They need to mix it up. -

It's almost like missing 2 x DT's is going to have an impact 😕 -
I'm so relieved to know OJ is doing well. Glad to know he's moved on. I'm sure his victims have too!
