  1. Do you think White and Zay aren't good players? As for Dawkins, he's an upgrade - where we desperately needed an upgrade. And he may turn out to be really good, as well.
  2. Basically consensus opinion. Obviously a draft can't really be evaluated for years, but at this stage you couldn't ask for much more. 3 probable starters and good depth, as well as an extra first rounder next year.
  3. If Jimmy busts and they go back to the cellar, it would be unequivocally the sweetest. Oh, shoot - did Kraft get the trademark approval on that already? Can I get fined or something?
  4. That's actually not clear, at all. Great draft, pretty active in free agency - I see a team that wants to win this year.
  5. Like some here, I think we may have finally found our qb. I was kind of shocked he dropped to the 5th. Smart, poised and pretty accurate - the reason he slid was arm strength, and that is something that can actually improve, unlike accuracy. Love his attitude, too. I saw a few pundits use the word moxie for him, and that's what you want in a qb.
  6. They still have a great cap situation - it wouldn't surprise me to see them tag jimmy and get 2 more years out of Brady. I don't care - I just want Brady gone. Fans there think they'll continue to dominate with JG, but they're dreaming if they think he'll be close to Brady. He looked good for a half a game last season - but let's see him after dc's get a read on his weaknesses. Let's see him when he's down a few scores, or has to come up big at the end of a game. His durability is also a big question mark. Bring on the Garropolo era.
  7. I think this could be our most competitive team in years. We were close to contending before Rex ruined the defense. If McD cans get that unit back on track and Taylor can play more consistently at the level we've seen in games like Seattle and Miami last year, the Bills can make the playoffs.
  8. You know a thread is pure whine when it low balls the # of candidates from 4 to 3. I was wondering what the theme of the naysayers would be.
  9. I like that both guys are young. If they nailed it, we could be set for a long time.
  10. You really have to wonder about the future of the sport. More and more parents will not let their kids play as stuff like this comes out.
  11. They'll still be pretty good - not like they are now, though. BB is still the best coach out there. He said he doesn't want to be like Levy, coaching in his 70's. Hope that's true.
  12. He should be an OC and then move onto HC. And he'll likely be great at both. No way would I take a chance on him as GM. Totally different skill set.
  13. I'm sure everyone is hoping he will. It's a quality "problem" if it happens. Everyone keeps saying he'll be gone, but if he stays healthy and plays great, they'll find a way to keep him.
  14. Yeah - I read their boards too much. Part of my unhealthy obsession. There is such a distinction between older Pats fans and the ones you describe, just generally speaking. The older ones are truly savoring every second of this run. The younger fans definitley talk about how boring the regular season is now, and how it's basically preseason. Maybe I'm rationalizing, but I'd rather be us. I think the feeling of winning is a lot different when you have to suffer first.
  15. Ask me again if BB wins another 5 superbowls with Garropolo.
  16. They actually want to trademark "unequivocally the sweetest." Man, does that organization ever need some time on the bottom so they and their fans can just become normal human beings again.
  17. Kraft is way too full of himself. He hired BB, and the rest took care of itself. Let's see how amazing he is when BB leaves.
  18. All the best to AW no matter what he decides. One of those players that gave everything on every play.
  19. Well, for starters, we have what we have heard about his time in Carolina. But we also have early indications here, including players who have commented on the more disciplined approach and the "earning the right to win" philosophy. He is also putting a greater emphasis on leadership within the team. To me, his style was very evident in the draft - not just in the picks and maneuvers, but also in the way the Bills communicated before and during the weekend.
  20. I'm not sure why fans have doubts at this point. I certainly understand a "prove it" mentality, but it hard not to love the first few months. There has been a total culture change since he got here. Discipline, hard work, focus - a 180 from the Rex years. He seems to have a real vision, and his first draft was stellar. Honestly, the guy he reminds me of is Belichick.
  21. Listenbee's speed is too intriguing. Would be surprised to see him cut.
  22. They had to do this. And it doesn't mean the end of Sammy as a Bill. We may have to pay a little more in the end - but only if he proves he's worth it. Which is how it should be.
  23. Honestly, it's a very poor measure for a coach. Who cares how interesting he is? This isn't a cocktail party.
