  1. I mean, people ARE putting Mahomes in the GOAT debate right now - even though Brady has 4 more titles. it's not illegitimate. Titles are a team accomplishment. I'm hearing a lot of it this year. In fact, most of the football world is starting to make that argument this year.
  2. You posted a pic - not the play. It was incidental. It wasn't a good call. You tend to appeal to the authority of mass opinion. Why are you trying to cherrypick that?
  3. I've actually seen more speculation from pundits this season that Allen is surpassing Mahomes. I've seen a lot more speculation on that. Sounds like you're clinging to opinion from previous years.
  4. Over 90% of football fans thought those calls were bogus. It's not like it's "tainted championships" or anything like that. But the Chiefs have gotten the benefit of more calls than most.
  5. Some weren't penalties. Cincy AFCCG, Philly in the SB. Chiefs have benefitted more than most from bad officiating in the biggest games. Sorry 'bout that. And hey - over 90% of football fans agree w/ me.
  6. So, a penalty was properly called a penalty. Thanks for confirming.
  7. Oh, I'm sure "90% of unbiased analysts" is a reliable figure based on your exhaustive research. Allen is the better QB. Period. Sorry to have to inform you of this. Kelce is slowing down, and he's taking the Mahomes mystique w/ him.
  8. I think that definitely scares Chiefs fans. They think it's "no argument" because of the titles. As soon as Allen gets one, it won't really be much of a debate anymore, imo. He's the better QB.
  9. I want to watch the Pats & Drake Maye. The hype has been off the charts - I've gotta see if there is any there there.
  10. We were really dominating that game up until the fumble. You could see the entire team deflate after that fumble - it was just "here we go again," and they never recovered. I think if Norwood's kick was good and we win that one (and I'm not blaming Norwood), we probably win 3 out of the 4. It became a psychological hurdle. I remember one Bills player saying 'we don't want to be Denver" before the 2nd SB, and unfortunately, we actually surpassed that. No one thinks of Denver's futility now. We are the standard bearer. Josh will change the course of that narrative. I'm sure of it.
  11. Most of the comments I saw on the thread you posted were much more cautious. I didn't see many 3-4 score beatdown posts. You kind of cherrypick to fit your narrative, just generally speaking.
  12. That's the team we beat by 2 scores last week, right?
  13. I don't think KC fans are insecure in general. That's "in general."
  14. I think I'd rather spend an entire week at the dentist.
  15. Yep. They're Patriots fans now.
  16. This was terrible optics - but man, it's just one fan. The reaction from KC is so over the top in generalizing about the fanbase - they see this, and it's immediately "Bills fans are trash!" I guess all fanbases do that to an extent, but it doesn't make it any less ridiculous.
  17. I watched the replay. The game was so close; for some reason, when I was watching it, I felt like we were in control the whole time In a way we were, but there were a lot of "ifs," and certainly if a couple of plays had gone differently, it would have likely been a different outcome. If Mahomes led Worthy on the long pass, if Hopkins had hauled in that long pass in the 4th (he thought he did), if Shakir loses the ball on that 3rd and long in the 4th like most receivers would on a hit like that. These are 2 evenly matched teams. Like you said - they'll get key guys back, as will we. I'd like our chances just based on the law of averages. But there is a psychological factor which of course makes me uneasy - the "Bills always win the regular, then lose to them in the playoffs" narrative. That will probably be on every player's mind in January, and every fan's. On a more positive note, I don't believe they "switch it on" in the playoffs. They're just a very good team who has gotten more postseason breaks than we have to this point. I just wrote a lot, but didn't say much. I think it will be a game like Sunday - pretty close the whole time, and whichever QB makes the big play in the 4th will see his team win.
  18. That looks a lot like this thread.
  19. On a somewhat related note - the Maye hype is completely off the charts in New England. I was checking one of their boards, and there is just about consensus that he'll be a top 3 QB in the league next year. All he needs is a WR and LT, apparently. I mean, I've watched him play the past few weeks - he has made some nice plays, and has skills. But he hasn't really shown a thing yet. They want a return to the Brady years so badly.
  20. Fans can get a little weird when they win so much. I watched Pats fans when they literally sat on top of the NFL world for 15+ years - it got cartoonish.
  21. Well, certainly, if our average LB's would have played that game - they would have shut him down like they did on Sunday.
  22. I'm too lazy, but someone should. I don't recall Bills fans being crazy confident about that game. We were down too many guys on defense.
  23. Which "average linebacker?" All-pro Matt Milano, or Defensive Player of the Week Terrell Bernard? Kelce is slowing down, so Mahomes simply isn't as good. There is no switch. The Chiefs were lucky - very lucky - to even be undefeated heading into the Bills game.
  24. I haven't counted, but I have to be over 2 dozen at this point. He has given us MANY great moments - but that was as impactful as any play he has had in the regular season, imo. For starters, just about everyone in the country was watching at that point of the game. The stakes were pretty high- if we don't pick up that 4th down, with just over 2 minutes to go, it's not a stretch to predict what probably would have happened. And now, instead of playing out the string with very little consequence, we're right in the mix for the 1 seed. I also heard a pundit say yesterday that if the MVP race is close at all at the end, that play alone will put him over the top. Also, it's fun to note that he started that run at the 37 yard line.
  25. I lost no sleep over this.
