  1. The Pats are better this year, and Maye is pretty legit. We've gotta show up.
  2. I'm actually a huge Lamar fan. Seems like a really cool dude. What really strikes me is how he reacts when he loses heartbreakers. In both this past game & the playoff game, he rushed right up to Josh w/ a smile on his face and gave him a very friendly congrats & hug. And I've seen him do that in other games, like last night against Detroit. He's a good sport. That stands in contrast to what we saw from Mahomes in a similar kind of close loss.
  3. Things can change - but up to this point in the Allen era, we've had the Ravens #, and the Chiefs have had our #. The Ravens all day in this one. I would love to see the Chiefs navigate a low seed/WC berth this season.
  4. Man, I love that 4th down call. How many times when it's a team as good as Baltimore are they back at mid-field in 2-3 plays anyway if you decide to punt?
  5. We really don't have much depth in the secondary. Rapp & Bishop in particular have to stay healthy - big dropoff there if either gets hurt. Hairston will be a welcome addition at CB. Hopefully he adjusts to the NFL pretty quickly. I think Strong should start over Tre while he's out. I thought Strong looked really good when he played.
  6. I saw no valid reason for showing wide right from over 3 decades ago, just because we were attempting a FG to extend a lead.
  7. Feels like we need a turnover to get a stop.
  8. Their body language is so much better than ours right now.
  9. I remain convinced that we have the personnel for a top 5-10 defense. The coaching has ALWAYS been lacking on that side of the ball. We need a real DC.
  10. Pretty poor defensive showing so far. Feels like our weak point right now.
  11. The injuries are a bummer so far - but we're going into a pretty easy part of our schedule. This doesn't sound too long term, at least so far. If he can make it back for the home stretch & playoffs, we're fine here.
  12. Just did it. No real tips - you have to just kind of muscle through the prep. It's definitely not that fun, but the procedure itself is nothing. On the plus side, I lost about 5 pounds, which I really needed to do.
  13. Prayers sent. Hope is the best of things - as Bills fans, and in life.
  14. Should have listened to Marv Levy - don't be dumb, don't be dirty.
  15. I'm glad they got the TD - but I have no idea why they didn't overturn that previous call.
  16. I was sooooo hoping we'd get THIS Bosa. He has added a lot to this defense - and to the attitude of the team. He brings great energy.
  17. Mahomes ain't as scary as he used to be.
  18. It's a testament to how spoiled I am now that the excitement from regular season wins that are NOT against KC or Baltimore wear off fairly quickly. I remember back in the day, any win could carry my mood for a week.
  19. And let's not forget that he likely cost Golden State another title with his stupid, dirty penalty against Lebron.
  20. He is SUCH a buffoon. He thinks he's some kind of clutch champ because he was along for the ride with truly great players. We wouldn't know his name if he had been on an average team.
  21. Anyone catch Dramond Green's comments about Josh? That guy is such a fool.
  22. On the 2-point conversion point: clearly, we need more creative play designs there. That was really disappointing to me. Those looked like regular plays that we run in low-leverage situations. Collinsworth was even saying on that last one how he expected the Bills to pull out something that teams practice every day for that situation & that was more unexpected, but it ended up just being an out to Coleman. It's hard to gauge Brady as an OC in general, just because he has Allen and Allen makes just about everything work. But Brady needs to work on those 2-point situations, imo.
  23. The way I see it, Bishop is probably the most promising S on the roster right now. He had a decent enough game and is likely to improve throughout this season. Rapp just looked slow, and he's likely to NOT improve this season. He might even get slower. He's fine as a backup, but he'll be a weak link as a starter. We need a SS.
  24. I'm still a bit mystified by why we weren't in on Peppers. I get sticking with Bishop, but Rapp now looks like he is more backup quality. It's scary to think about that kind of lack of speed out there, even at the SS position. I'm sure we'll look like world beaters against some of the middlin' teams that are coming up, but that will be a mirage. Come playoff time, I'm deeply concerned about this D not being able to get stops. Josh can do this kind of thing & overcome that - but to ask that out of 3 or 4 games in a row would be too much & unrealistic.
