I think we were all watching that last scoring drive the same way. Just keep the 3 timeouts....then we've got a chance. Literally, as soon as you use one, your down to a much more improbable onside kick. You can say that w/ the way our D performed all day, the chances were slim that we'd get a 3 & out - but their O would have been predictable at that point. It's just basic situational awareness.

I don't think the usual soft zone is going to cut it against a team like the Lions. I'd love to see some more aggressive D in this one.

It evened out. I was shocked to see Chiefs fans online complaining about the refs as much as they did - but when I thought about the game, there were definitely some bad calls that went our way.

I think the staff has made great halftime adjustments all year - but they seemed non-existent yesterday. I felt confident at the half for that reason. But then the Rams came out & just continued w/ long clock-killing drives. We really could do nothing to stop them.

I take a small amount of solace in the fact that every non-Chiefs fan in America is enraged right now. Actually, probably worldwide.

Josh Allen is actually that good. We're in a place where it looks definitively like this coaching staff is holding him back.

I thought it evened out, for the most part. But the Rams chat I read through thought it was extremely one-sided. I definitely didn't see that. I thought in the 4th, we had some rough ones not go our way.

Wow - Rams fans are saying they have to overcome the refs. I mean, huh? Seemed like every pivotal call went their way.

Worst part of that game is that I do not think our coaches understood the situation at the end w/ that timeout. I think they literally did not know that they gave up on everything but an onside kick there. I think they didn't calculate.

You had 2 things going for you at the end: Josh Allen, and 3 timeouts. For the entire last drive, my mindset - as a fan who knows nothing about coaching - was KEEP THE 3 TIMEOUTS. I still don't get. If you know you're going to use one - do not run the ball. That was as stupid as anything I've seen.

Accepting the penalty was bad - but kind of a 60-40 decision. Not calling timeout was 100-0. No coach who is aware of the situation does that. It was clueless - as in, without a clue. They literally didn't understand the situation.

He's not a good coach. Period.

I'm really sick to my stomach. Not about the loss. Who cares. About the coaching. McDermott is absent when it comes to pressure. He loses his composure.

It just changed 15 minutes go. The man can't do prime time. He can't do clutch. He chokes, bad.

You don't call a time out there. And I'm going to write it again, in case McD reads this: you don't call a time out there.

The time out is inexcusable. Amateur move. How do you now understand that situation? I've been a McD supporter. But that's horrific.

I want to hear McD explain those decisions. Amateur hour.

Accepting the penalty on the Rams drive. Then, calling TIME OUT. Could have rushed to the line there & still been able to stop the clock. That ended the game. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I went from thinking McD was having an amazing season, to wanting him fired tomorrow.

I love how McD has been this season. That WAS DUMB. I don't get it. I don't get accepting a penalty there, at all.

McDermott should NEVER have accepted that penalty w/ the way the Rams O was working all day. Terrible.
