  1. I like what I see out of Cook - even on that small gain.
  2. Well, we've got us a good ol' fashioned division game - hard fought and likely down to the wire. I love these. I like blowouts better - but games like this pay dividends in the playoffs.
  3. I just have this weird feeling that they are over-coaching JA, and he's thinking too much. They really have to just let him be who he is.
  4. The cam thing is a break for us. D was getting tired. They have to re-group, and take this game seriously. The Jets are a solid team.
  5. Any "Jaws" sequel that had the tagline, "this time it's personal."
  6. Just curious what others think - because I see that all the time on opposing fans message boards, and I don't relate to it. I think the window will be WIDE open as long as JA is QB, and Beane is GM. I don't need any more proof from either. JA is elite, and Beane seems like a wizard w/ the cap, who knows how to build an A1 team for today, and also keep an eye on building a model for success that's sustainable. We'll lose players like all great teams do, but he is a very good drafter, finds gems in FA, and has a real vision for keeping this team in contention. I think we'll be knocking on the door for a title every year for at least a decade. I tend to lean homer, but I also think this is objective based on how good these guys are at their jobs. What say you?
  7. I was "Future Success" on the old BBMB. I joined after that Dallas MNF game. I was just despondent, as I'm sure most of us were, about how that game fell apart. I wanted my board name to be a positive affirmation for the days ahead. On this board, I ditched the "Future," because hey - we're there!
  8. Unpopular opinion - but I think Wilson has had more "wow" plays than any QB in that class. With him, it's just cutting down the mistakes. Whether he can do that remains to be seen - but the skill is there to be a very good QB.
  9. If I'm honest - Allen is just like Brady & Peyton Manning, both of whom I have complained about often. Really, they all do it. But JA - because of his high profile - is definitely getting a reputation around the league, judging by some of the other sports message boards. Which is fine by me. After being on the other side of it for decades, I love that we have a star QB who asks for, and gets, the calls.
  10. Great team for Hodgins right now. Happy for him.
  11. We're also at a different level of talent on this team right now. It will be less likely that late rounders are able to make this team in the next couple of years. This was just a great trade. I have loved reading the comments from Colts fans online about him (they're mostly pulling for the Bills, too). It sounds like we got a guy who is great on the field but also a positive presence overall.
  12. Colts fans LOVED this guy. High character, high energy - fun personality. And loads of talent.
  13. The Falcons really put out the blueprint for how to blow a lead in a big game. I get what they were trying to do - "don't play not to lose." But Ryan was rushing up to the line when they had that big lead, and they were getting a lot of plays off with over 10 seconds still on the clock. It's case by case, but the clock CAN be your friend when you have a 2+ score lead. The best teams can usually switch to the run game & break hearts as they grind out one 1st down after another....
  14. I've eaten a large amount of wings, and just about everywhere. For my money, the best I've had were at The Distillery in Rochester.
  15. Bills fans - we've got a good one w/ Brandon Beane.
  16. That would be a smart move for them. Hodgins has talent.
  17. Thanks - I'm still learning these things...
  18. I mean, that's one play - and he was right there.
  19. I wish Hodgins had gotten more of a shot here - but we have so many good receivers. Hopefully he finds a home w/ another team.
  20. My son has Jonathan Taylor on his fantasy. He'll love this news.
  21. Yeah - this by no means should be interpreted as "giving up on Cook." Cook is a big part of the Bills future, imo.
  22. We didn't give up much, and Hines is good. We got better.
  23. How do they do that? That's lightning quick...
