  1. If I had pearls, I'd clutch 'em. Overreaction Monday.
  2. 2021 was a missed opportunity. But there will be plenty more. I mean, has anyone watched the NFL for awhile? The best teams in history have had bad games.
  3. Pretty hot takey thread. When he has played this season, he has been a force. Players can have bad games once in awhile.
  4. Allen has had 6 bad quarters. It happens to all QBs. He's not all of a sudden rookie or 2nd year Allen again.
  5. I'm as concerned as anyone about how we looked - but this was a DIVISION GAME. Except for the Bills, both the Jets and Phins often gave the Patriots fits during their near 2 decade reign. It didn't matter how good those Patriots teams were. Division games can be scrappy and tough. And as one of their players said, this is not the "same ol' Jets." They had a terrible game last week, but Saleh is a real coach, and he has changed the culture there. Wilson has skills and can be very good when he doesn't make mistakes. That defense is absolutely legit. They had the better gameplan yesterday, and wanted it more. If anything, that was my biggest concern; their energy just seemed better (not a scientific observation). We have some real division rivalries again. It's fun. I'm now looking much more forward to the next game in Buffalo - and I don't have much doubt that the Bills will respond accordingly. We're still the best team in this division. There are too many overreactions today.
  6. This feels a lot like the "Hail Murray" point of the 2020 season. The hype had started to die down at that point, and that game really put us under the radar. Then we just tore through the league until late January. Here's hoping we see a repeat. The pressure of being the "inevitable" SB champ is real, and a distraction. Now, they can just play some football.
  7. Today wasn't fun. I didn't have fun today.
  8. Those Mahomes runs are insanely frustrating. I suppose that's how people feel about facing Allen. TN self-destructed in this one. They really had it. Every week sure is gonna be exciting from here on out.
  9. That felt like the game for TN.
  10. Gotta give it up to Vrabel. His teams aren't the most talented - but they are well coached and keep most of their games close.
  11. I'll feel a whole lot better about today if the Chiefs lose.
  12. Love the "Memphis BBQ is better" sign in the crowd....
  13. I mean, I guess - if the blueprint requires 2 extremely uncharacteristic INT's.
  14. It was, for sure, an INT.
  15. That's a good, common sense perspective. I think we're more fortunate this year, because we have just a little more breathing room (where the Jags game last year set us back for awhile). I'm still very confident, but today was a surprise. The Jets are pretty good, though. They are not a joke.
  16. GOOD But, I love the Doritos ads.
  17. Sorry; I made this comment on another thread, but thought it might deserve its own. It was just a vague feeling I had during the last game. He looked just a little more tentative, and (at least to me), it didn't seem like he was playing the game with the abandon we usually see from him. I think it's possible the coaches saw the schedule, and saw how we looked kind of unstoppable, and realized what I think some of us fans tend to think: the only thing that can derail us this season is an injury to the QB. I think they coached him up on that, to try to stay away from risk as much as possible. He looked like that again today, to me. Yes, he still ran, and made some big runs. But it still didn't seem like the guy we've gotten used to seeing for a few years. What makes Josh Allen great is that he plays the game like a kid. He stiff arms a guy & the roll and tumble out of bounds together, and he gets up laughing. He doesn't hesitate - he does what he needs to do. I have re-evaluated my own stance on how he plays. I have always thought they need to protect him more, especially from himself - but I think I was wrong. I think they just need to let him be who he is.
  18. Oh, for the sake of pete. We're beating a better MN team by 3 scores next week. Nothing against the Jets, who I think are solid. But it was just a game. They won't beat us in Buffalo. They had the better gameplan today.
  19. It's overreaction Sunday. He's in a mini-swoon. A VERY mini-swoon. 6 quarters. But, if I had to guess: I think the coaches were thinking like me, and some other fans. We're rolling - and the only thing that can derail us is if JA gets injured. I think they are over-coaching him, and he's thinking too much. It has caused me to re-evaluate my own position. Josh has to be Josh. Let him play the game the way he wants to play the game. He's at his best that way.
  20. This isn't quite the Jags game - but kinda close. Jets are legit, though. They won't beat us in Buffalo, but they're a solid team.
  21. So.....why aren't we using a timeout just before the 2-minute warning?
  22. Good to see Bass right down the middle there.
