Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
TheyCallMeAndy replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's worth mentioning 100 times, and then 100 more times: Preseason has no historical significance to forecasting how week 1 will go since 2018. Week 1 is the biggest wildcard week in the NFL. The results are just plain unpredictable. -
High 4 - Always 96 - Was the best player on the defense 6 - Balled out, as the kids say. Fearless. 20 - His improvement from last year to this year is crazy. 80 - WR4. Nuff said 19 - Made a case to be the WR5 29 - Good returns 35 - Was just everywhere. Maybe still more P-Squad level, but made plays. 36 - Was apparently signed today and actually made some positive impact. 24 - Laid some hits. Low 18 - Same old. Drops, low impact 1 - Missed game due to illness. 15 - Little impact at WR but made some big 'teams mistakes. 23 - He's had a rough preseason 90 - Not sure if he even played 40 - The whole sick thing is weird.

We need to be talking about Hawes juke move more. Did not have that on my bingo card.
-
I think he needs to be WR 5 at the least, but in terms of earning it, I can't see anyone else who's earned that #4 role
-
Hats off to that kid we signed today apparently, he made a few plays in the game.
-
Bills play 20+ a year, we shouldn't realistically trust anyone to stay healthy.
-
Gabe as the #4 would be chef's kiss

If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
TheyCallMeAndy replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cut him in favor of who? He's a better safety than Lewis, Forrest, and (right now) Bishop and the rookie. -
To be fair, I've seen Stevie Johnson do the exact same thing

What time does it start? -
Cook signed👀 - 4 / 48 / 30 mil guaranteed
TheyCallMeAndy replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless I'm wrong, that is a very team friendly deal -
Wouldn't be shocked if, at some point, he was added to the Practice Squad.
-
Honestly with Ed, he beats up young/poor OGs and is always a TC star that gets everyone hyped. He disappears vs good OGs. Elite athlete and only 27, but kind of feels like a guy who will have a few very good seasons (stat wise) sprinkled in rather than a very good career. Crazy to see he's been over 5 sacks in his career twice and double digit TFL twice.

I actually don't see adds on the app unless I get logged out.

Preseason Week 2 - Post Updates Here
TheyCallMeAndy replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely, especially since Bishop projects better to SS (I know they are largely interchangeable). Hancock and Bishop would be an awesome, young, athletic combo. -
It's either going to be Bishop, Rapp, or Bass.

Red helmets and standing Buffalo helmets confirmed.

Madden confirms: Red 90's helmet, Blue home Jersey, and White away pants look fantastic. -

Rams extend RB Kyren Williams - 3-year, $33 million

Difference of opinion, I get where you're coming from. Neither one of us is wrong -

I get the argument you're trying to make, but it isn't what they can do... it's what they are trusted to do. Both players trusted in high leverage situations. They are on the field when it matters. Cook rarely plays on 3rd and 4th down because he can't block to save his life (or Allens) -

TheyCallMeAndy replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes and no. They didn't have almost the same yardage, Cook had 290 less rushing yards. He averaged 63 rushing yards a game, it would have taken him nearly 5 games to catch that total up. Williams has the higher snap count because he can be trusted in more situations. A RB who has more rushing production, more established rushing production, and is trusted in more situations is likely a better RB. If Williams is getting 11 AAV, Cook really doesn't have much ground to stand on to get 15m. 11m for a guy who plays 48-52% of your snaps is also a lot. I like Cook, but I feel like his contract will age like milk. -

Everyone saying Cook is better... how? Williams has the better, more proven rushing production. Cook had less than 100 more receiving yards last year Williams played 888 (87%) of the team's offensive snaps. Cook didn't do half that.
