  1. this offseason has a lot of veteran defensive talent out there, and this draft class is not as deep in defensive players where we have need particularly (DT/Edge). Offenses is very stacked, so you settle for a few short contracts for vets on Defense, and try to load up on offensive talent. thats not to say there aren’t good Defense players to draft, but a lot of positions drop off talent-wise after the first 2 rounds.
  2. I said this in another thread but Gabe really should have waited based on this contract lol
  3. Gabe should have waited lol
  4. Armstead would be a huge gain. Also makes WR far more likely the target at 28, so that’s always a plus. Start searching the couch for coins and let’s make it happen.
  5. Front load that contract as much as possible. Next year they should have well over $100m to play with and that’s the year you pay JJ a crazy amount. Soften the hit the other years but while you can afford it you stack the deck and pay the kid. then again, this is the Vikings we are talking about…
  6. Good for Dane. Sad to lose him but he got a nice payday. Good for him and best of luck
  7. Not gonna hate on the guy for getting one more payday. but if he plays like he did last year Diggs will feast.
  8. Such BS. That kid will never be the same and he barely paid any penalty for it
  9. This is actually a good signing for both parties. Devin deserves the payday and the Giants need to get a capable back to replace Barkley.
  10. Panthers trying to break the OG market the way the Jags broke the WR market a few years back
  11. Say what you will about the drops, and I totally get it, but when he’s on he’s great. While I do think we can improve via the draft, he was a part of some very important games for us and he was a valuable, if sometimes unreliable, part of our team. Best of luck Gabe. I hope you hit those incentives and wish you the best… but if you’re lined up across from us I hope you have an off day
  12. Happy for the Shnowman. A little cap relief now and we keep our QB protected. Money well spent.
  13. If he’s at 28 you trade back a few spots and go from there.
  14. 11 years into it and my employer still likes me. Some guys have all the luck…
  15. If this years comp draft formula is indicative of anything that will net… a 3rd rounder… for the Patriots. As for us? Maybe a 6th and a kick to the nuts.
  16. I’m not sure what voodoo magic you did, or how many sacrifices had to be made to some elder god, but that’s not bad admittedly.
  17. Speaking of comp picks, if Gabe gets a strong enough payday would we be possibly looking at another 3rd next year? Depending on the players we add, of course, could mean we have that potential pick to play with come draft day to move up if we were so inclined.
  18. I think it makes the Bucs are more likely candidate to trade back to a team looking to jump a few spots for a player. Whether that’s us or someone else remains to be seen, but the Bucs can now likely move back and get more draft capital
  19. Cant be, that’s exactly why I did today 😂
  20. Sorry friends, I spent the day doing all the stuff I put off the last 3 days. Anything good with OL players happen today?
  21. The combine made this far more difficult than I was expecting. Still have Harrison, Nabers, and Odunze as the top-3 and will be long gone. Here’s my ranking as of today: Marvin Harrison Jr. - Ohio State Malik Nabers - LSU Rome Odunze - Washington Brian Thomas Jr. - LSU Adonai Mitchell - Texas Ladd McConkey - Georgia Xavier Worthy - Texas Xavier Legette - South Carolina Keon Coleman - FSU Troy Franklin - Oregon Ja’Lynn Polk - Washington I highlighted Thomas Jr, AD, and McConkey as likely targets. Thomas Jr will not make it to 28 but I would consider a trade up if the draft falls in a way that makes sense. AD might need to hop a few spots but will possibly go in the early 20s, McConkey should be there but I want to wait until pro days before being committed. Worthy I have a 2nd round grade on but absolutely can see someone grabbing him round 1 based on speed alone. Legette looks like a man among boys but his total body of work isn’t as impressive as others (doesn’t mean he isn’t good, but he was a late bloomer. Is that because he was 3-4 years older than some of his competition or Did he turn a corner?) Coleman and Franklin I had as late 1st/early 2nd grades on but can see some people push them straight to round 2 based on the combine performance. Coleman had a slow 40 but moved well during drills. Franklin had a good 40 but didn’t perform as well during drills. I’ve said it before that they shouldn’t have their stock lowered that much, but I would not be surprised to see them miss round 1 unless they rebound well during pro days. **These two are still great options and I have confidence they will look better in the coming weeks** Polk is the one guy I don’t think moved up or down for me at all. He’s a 2nd rounder, and a good one. There’s just too many other dudes who do something a little better overall than him. Again, quality player, but he’s not going round 1 barring something crazy
  22. My rankings currently. All of these dudes will be gone by the end of round 2 I think: Marvin Harrison Jr. - Ohio State Malik Nabers - LSU Rome Odunze - Washington Brian Thomas Jr. - LSU Adonai Mitchell - Texas Ladd McConkey - Georgia Xavier Worthy - Texas Xavier Legette - South Carolina Keon Coleman - FSU Troy Franklin - Oregon Ja’Lynn Polk - Washington * notes: I like some of the other receivers over both Xavier’s but their showing today is gonna make people adjust their boards. They aren’t bad prospects at all, I’m just thinking people see a 40 time for Coleman and don’t realize he plays very fast despite how it looks in a straight line. Hoping Franklin bounces back too, but I like all of these guys and would be happy with any of them most likely
