Steelers @ Ravens playoff game thread (no Bills stuff please)

From Har-bowl to Har-blow. I’d be ok with this outcome.
-
That was what the (hopefully) was for lol. I definitely don’t want to look past any team, especially in the playoffs. The football gods hopefully want Josh Allen to play Mahomes and/or Jackson, so let us pray.
-
Well Ladd is the only Charger who came to play. Well, their kicker too I guess. Either Houston or Pittsburgh to KC next week. We will (hopefully) have either Houston or Baltimore. Doesn’t matter, we just have to handle our business.
-
The only thing to do now is to stop worrying about it, and just shoot for the one they hand out on 2/9/25. Lamar can have 3x MVP but it won’t mean anything if Josh wins SB MVP. Take care of the business in front of you. 4 more games.

Deshaun Watson suffers 2nd achillies rupture
KingBoots8 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Deshaun Watson has a passer rating of 80.7 with 3,365 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 19 games for the Browns in his career.” Watson signed a 5 year, $230m fully guaranteed contract. If he never plays another snap for the Browns again, here is what he was paid: He was paid $12,105,263 per touchdown. This number is the same as what his per game total would be, as he only played in 19 games. He was paid $68,350 per YARD. This averages out over 5 years to 673 yards, 3.8 TD’s, and 4 INTS per season. — Josh Allen in 2024 had 3731 passing yards, 28 TDs, and 6 INTs, outpacing Watson entire contract in less than 1 season/17 games, including about 8 quarters worth of him sitting on the bench after shredding his opponents… not including either of their rushing stats (hint: Josh won that too by a LOT) -
Different draft. The draft you are thinking of was 2011. We were pick 3, Denver had pick 2. They took Von, we took Marcel Dareus.
-
Look at Chicago. Trubisky, Fields, and now Williams all got drafted by a coach who would up getting fired their rookie year, only for the new coach to not see success and then have to go draft “their guy”. Trubisky: John Fox -> Matt Nagy Fields: Matt Nagy -> Matt Eberflus Williams: Matt Eberflus -> ?????

I think Bo will end up being a good get for Denver. I think their defense is good. i think next week they will learn what real noise is.

Bass just wants to make sure that NE stays motivatied and sneaks a win. Them falling to 3rd or 4th is better for everyone -
I can see it now: the Bills will, through some wizardry and malice, would have to destroy Cinci, Baltimore, and/or KC to get to the Bowl. Cinci - Damar Hamlin makes a game-saving fumble recovery to win it for Buffalo Baltimore - MVP vs MVP. Josh continues his dominance and Amari Cooper hangs a huge game on his old division rival. Lamar lays an egg and people rejoice at how amazing he is at losing in the playoffs. They make up some award for this and just give it to him. KC - The Day of Reckoning. With less than a minute Josh takes the field. They march down the field with 13 seconds on the clock. Play action, the game clock is at 8 seconds. Josh fires one to Coleman to take the lead by 3 points. Patty comes out, looks deep, launches a ball downfield as Von Miller lays him out. Ball is in the air, and MICAH HYDE OUT OF NOWHERE PICKS IT AND ENDS THE SEASON FOR KC. ….then we go to the Bowl and demolish whoever has the misfortune of lining up in front of us. i also know seeding would likely not permit all 3 to happen. Plus I am hoping KC and Balt both lose early just for laughs

Hey, don’t forget he punched down on the Giants well after the game was over to keep adding to those stats
-
I want to believe this, but the fact we got a 4th for Edmunds instead of a 3rd means we will probably get a bag of peanuts for them. The Patriots will be awarded five 3rd round picks for their trouble, as is tradition.

Where to watch the Bills this Sunday in Binghamton market.
KingBoots8 replied to Mr. Irrelevant's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hell I’d like a copy and I was there for the whole thing. 95% of the time it’s a great place to go. Karaoke night on Saturday’s is a riot, and I’ll stop down for a few very couple weeks. I have avoided the weirdness for the most part. I did technically get into a fight with a drunk Cowboys fan who popped one too many pills a few years back. It’s a long story, but let’s just say it he was literally trying his best to fight someone, took a swing ant me, and later came to regret his decision. Still would recommend 😂 -

Hard agree. You literally never know what crowd will be there. Almost always drama free but when things do get messy they get very entertaining. I once saw a (female) bartender fight her own boyfriend for being a dick and trying to instigate a fight with another patron a few years back. She then took her shirt off and fought 2 of his buddies who were running their mouths to her. This spilled outside and she legit kicked their asses, wearing sweatpants and a bra, in mid-November upstate NY. It was glorious. …awesome burgers too. -

Sadly I don’t know the best option available. Maybe pick up NFL+ for a month to watch Bills games without issue? If you want to go to a location to watch it I know Beer Tree will definitely have it on at the Factory location. Belmar might have it on as well. Both are Bills Backers locations around town. If you’re from the area you likely know the crowd each location attracts so factor that in. -
Yardage Predictions for Bills Receivers in 2024
KingBoots8 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Updated with actual results through week 17: Coleman: 27 Catches, 525 yards, 4 TDs (12 games) - way over on catches, yardage was lower, TD’s close. Yardage and TD’s likely more accurate if he didn’t miss time Samuel: 24 Catches, 201 yards, 1 TD (13 games) - lol. Kincaid: 44 catches, 448 yards, 2 TDs (13 games) - I stand by my numbers if he had stayed healthy Shakir: 76 catches, 821 yards, 4 TDs (15 games) - Dude is a beast. Got the TDs, way under on catches and yards. I thought Samuel would eat into his totals more than anyone else. He should be re-signed sooner rather than later: he’s prime Cole Beasley with no drama Knox: 22 catches, 311 yards, 1 TD (16 games) - Kincaid really solidified his hold on the TE position, so Knox has had fewer opportunities this season. I thought he’d be a little more incorporated into the gameplans but the coaches know better than I do. Cook: 32 catches, 258 yards, 2 TDs (15 games) - I was reasonably close here: the yardage was lower but the catches and TD’s are right where I expected. I knew Davis would eat into his catches just based on skillsets. Davis: 15 catches, 188 yards, 2 TDs (16 games) - probably my most accurate estimate overall. He’s a fantastic asset to the team and in hindsight I am very glad we got him. I don’t think he could “replace” Cook since their skills are not the same, but I think next year he will see more action for sure. Hollins: 28 catches, 353 yards, 5 TDs (16 games) - Boy was I wrong. 20 more catches, 2x the yards, 5x the TDs. He really stepped up and has been a welcome addition this season. Now, I made my predictions before roster cuts had been made, so I thought he’d be the odd man out, but with MVS and Claypool not sticking he was the benefactor in a massive way. He has great blocking skills, can make catches when his number is called, and costs about 8x less than Gabe Davis did. Slam dunk signing, and helps forget the stink of the Samuel signing. Josh numbers (16 games): Passing yardage: 3,731 Rushing Yardage: 531 Total Yardage: 4,262 Total Passing TDs: 28 His passing TD’s are just about the same as they were last year, but pass yards are down. That is to be expected with James Cook turning a corner with his rushing abilities. Josh’s rush yards and TD’s are very close as well this season to where they were last year. I should have assumed Josh would throw less with a more balanced offense, but I thought for sure he would be slinging it way more often. His INT numbers are incredibly low this season, proving that he (somehow) can be even better than we thought. He’s a freak, and hopefully a future MVP as well. All in all, I did ok. I was surprised how many dudes missed a few games here and there looking back, but everyone seemed to cover for each other very well most games. removed the following due to IR/releases: Claypool: 33 catches, 303 yards, 3 TDs - (had 0, was placed on IR at season start) MVS: 24 catches, 219 yards, 2 TDs - (2 catches, 26 yards, 0 TDs. Released after getting Amari Cooper, who has 20 catches, 297 yards, 2 TDS) -
This friggin game… I rode on a party bus for 3 1/2 hours each way, split with a 50/50 mix of Bills and Giants fans who I had known for years (maybe 16 of us total). This was going to be my first game I had ever been to in person. On top of that, my buddy had a little sister who he was trying to get to date me at the time, and she was coming with us so I was looking VERY forward to the trip. Little did I know he had been drinking excessively the night before. I should also add I was 21, and my group of degenerates decided we were gonna take shots at 6am to really kick things off. We knew we were going to tailgate hard, but figured we would just get after it. We start boozing, and 45 mins into the trip my buddy gets off the bus to puke, says he can’t go any further and is gonna get a ride back. His sister leaves with him. Bummer. We get to the Ralph and I remember it was cloudy but actually not as cold as I expected (lol). I was in a jersey and hoodie and was comfortable enough… or intoxicated enough. The thing about me is that I knew how to pace myself, whereas not all of my friends did. We were getting after it, having a great time, and then the parade of tragedy continued on… Another friend of mine got so drunk that he couldn’t even stand up straight while he was at the gate. Do you know how drunk you have to be for security to not let you into a game in 2007? I do, because my friend was not even able to get inside the stadium. We walked him back to the bus and he slept it off the entire rest of the day. We get in and I remember how cool it was to be at the Ralph for the first time. I kept thinking “it’s way too weird for it to be almost Christmas and not having any bad weather. We go get a touchdown- woohoo! I didn’t expect us to be able to get after it right away. Then touchdown #2 comes. 14-0 first quarter… then the clouds go black. I legit said “I knew this was too good to be true…” Then the rain starts falling, but not straight down- it was at like a 45* angle, stabbing us in the face. Then the giants go on a tear to get to 14-17 by halftime. Every inch of my body is soaked, we are now getting curb stomped, and then the snow starts to fall. i have become a human Popsicle. 2 more of my friends left, apparently to hook up on the bus while the other guy was passed out drunk. Had my day gone better maybe that could have been me, but alas, life is unfair. That girl scored more in the second half than the Bills did - it was 21-31 and the Bills throw a pick-6 to seal their fate. Giants survive and go to the playoffs. Not sure how that ended for them… TLDR; I was soaking wet, then frozen, watched the Bills do Billsy things to lose, and had to ride home for 3 1/2 hours listening to drunk Giants fans dunk on me.
