The big thing here is we have an experienced player at one of our weaker positions ready and available to contribute on and off the field if needed. Even if Rapp and Hamlin are playing well all it takes is one play to lose someone for a few games or longer- Hyde knows everything there is to know about this defense and is still capable of playing at a professional level. For me, I am most excited for what Hyde can do in terms of helping Bishop develop. Cole couldn’t ask for a better teacher to help him learn the position on this defense better, and if the Bills manage to pull this off and get the job done in February I can think of few players who I would like more to get a ring. Hyde was among the first signings we made as we began to turn the franchise around, and if he can still go he deserves to be part of this team.

I’ll never actively cheer for an injury, but the truth is every team has to deal with them. KC caught us last year with half our starting defense out or banged up. If another team is missing a start it is what it is. There’s no asterisk in the record books if the other team lost because they were banged up.

Talent doesn’t mean wins if they can’t figure out how to beat a team with a winning record… or play in the cold..

It was moments like this one that make me (kinda) miss Diggs. When he wanted to, he was a great teammate. …problem was these moments stopped being the norm after a while. Grateful for his time here, but also grateful we don’t have to worry about him anymore.

Don’t be surprised if Burrow and Chase push for Joe Brady to come on over and reunite the LSU gang. It’s up to the owner to make that choice but I could see the allure on both sides. Given how well the Bills have played since Brady took over, especially on a “rebuild” year, is going to drum up some interest. Even moreso if Josh wins MVP. The price of being good is that everyone wants what you have.
