That is both surprising and yet also not at all surprising at the same time 😂

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

Gotta aim even higher than that -
Yeah, think I’m gonna declare for the supplemental draft. If teams these days want a QB with a noodle arm I’m bound to be signed

I banged a local news reporter for a few months. That’s like the same thing, right?

I think you guys are quick to judge lol. She’s still a rookie when it comes to playing with Josh, and he def just took her to overtime. She’s gorgeous, and I’m betting everyone in this thread would 100% take her home if they had the opportunity

Huh… I’ve always personally associated the title “Baron” more with the French/German iterations used more recently than their original British origins. Never really crossed my mind. -

Owego (southern tier). There’s a lot of Native American historical recognition in the area including a grave for Sa Sa Na which is one of the most visible landmarks in the village. It does stink to change, but then again we were the “Indians” and not the “Natives” so I kinda get it. Not many Native Americans from India after all. Maybe I’m sheltered but I have no clue how Baron could be interpreted that way lol -

My high school alma mater is one of the NYS schools that needs to change their mascot to keep state funding this fall. If the national outrage is anything like the local outrage they need to just pick a name immediately and move forward. I’ve never seen a bunch of boomers who haven’t lived in the area for 30+ years get so bent out of shape about a school changing from “Indians” to something else. We get it, your glory days have long since faded. It’s gonna be ok. TBH they can’t do much worse than the commies- 134 replies

I was really torn about the OL. I remember that they traded to get Marlowe last year, plus just signing him, makes me think he makes the roster. I do also agree that there will be some shuffling at the beginning of the year with the PUP and other potential injuries, so there’s definitely room to work around that. I had a few UDFA guys come in and show enough to make the cut. Mims is likely to make the PS over Bowser but I thought maybe with them signing him so soon into Rookie Tryouts that maybe he really showed something, so I gave him the nod. Same with Wayne vs Johnson. I’ve got a funny feeling Shavers makes it regardless. If there are any other surprise signings or trades this changes things, but overall I like the roster. LB is our weakest position I think.

Bills Scouting Department Title Changes
KingBoots8 replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean… I work at a credit union but the rule stands. Also: before becoming an AVP, VP, or SVP, they like to go with “Director” these days. -
https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-announced-these-moves-within-the-scouting-department Malik Boyd has been named Senior Personnel Advisor and will work as an executive scout in the pro and college personnel departments. Chris Marrow and Curtis Rukavina have been named co-Directors of Pro Scouting. Lake Dawson has been named Senior Executive and will continue his duties in the college scouting area while expanding his role into the pro scouting department. A.J. Highsmith has been named National Scout.

What should the Bills plan be for their 2024 salary cap / roster?
KingBoots8 replied to Adam727's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer is here until 2024 per his new contract. I think he can certainly play well enough to see his contract through. I personally would be surprised to let Hyde walk after this year provided he performs like his usual self post-injury. I think they get him a 1 year deal so he and Poyer ride into the sunset together and get a year of mentoring one or two of their replacements. I think Taylor Rapp might be a reclamation project like Poyer was when he joined, and I think we get a Safety to in the 2024 draft to fill out the remaining spot. Davis I think had a down year and will come back nicely for us in 2023. That being said, I don’t think we have a way to afford his new contract so on this we agree- this is likely his last season here unless he takes a very team friendly deal. Oliver, as much as the Bills coaches may love him, is going to get paid. I liked the pick and thought he’d be a game changer, but his play will likely not match his salary. Tough call but he’s going to command more than we can afford. Morse likely retires, and perhaps White restructures or takes an extension based on his play this year. I don’t see him leaving, but it’s certainly possible. In my “way too early draft needs” (where I don’t factor in who we lose to FA or who performs well) this is my prediction for needs: WR, DT, S, OL, DE -

Hot take (?): DC Defenders literally have better uniforms and name/logo than the Commanders. -
They are historically bad owners, they probably round out my top-5 lol Certainly the most despised by other fan bases I think. It’s crazy how beloved they were back in 2020 and then to go full 180* and just turn up the hate to full power lol He’s definitely not great but all of a sudden he has a good team on paper… not great but probably not the worst in my eyes. Kraft is mostly hated for owning a cheating franchise and getting squeezers at the salon, but he’s not a “terrible” owner to his fan base. Ross was willing to break rules to try and bring Brady in, all the crap with his former coach, etc. might put him in the running. That said, the sad sack of fans they have probably love him for getting reek and making them relevant for the moment.
