Curious to know: would this specific procedure have been done had Beane not put him on IR? I know the plan was to get it checked out but I wonder if it would have been found with him initially coming back this week based on his optimism. Beane may have stopped this from becoming far worse by giving him time to properly heal and get looked over. If he came back and had an even worse tear we could be talking career ending, not season ending.

He’s had a bigger role blocking this year I think, and to be honest I’m not sure if this year is going to be a huge “numbers” year for him given his off-season. He will get back to form, but he’s got to get through it on his own time. My theory: he’s gonna show up for a big play in the post season that will completely overshadow his regular seas woes.

You could feel it in the post-game sideline interview with him and Josh “when the chips are down, I’m riding with 17.” Whatever Josh is dealing with, Steph is first in line to pick him up. That speaks volumes, and I think Josh recognized it when he said it.
