  1. My thoughts are that neither are NFL starters, they'll be backups for their careers however long that is.
  2. I disagree, were here because of our drafting, it has been our achilles heel since the post Jim Kelly era, how do we only take 2 1st round QB's since 1999? Just look at our draft classes and you'll see all we need to know. We trade up for Sammy instead it should have been Derek Carr or very least Khalil Mack, Instead of TJ Graham we could have had Russell Wilson, we need to get lucky and extremely smarter.
  3. Sorry none of those guys prove we want to win and do we really want to win? I'm hoping for 1 last down year, there is way too many good QB prospects to go pissing this away.
  4. KC spreads the ball around, quick 10 yard passing game isn't Maclin's strong suit, he's a deep threat WR. Tyreek Hill had 61/593/6 TD, Maclin had 44/536/4 TD, Travis Kelce had 85/1125/4 TD. They saved 10M in cap space, pay out 2.4M dead cap this year, 4.8M dead cap next season. That being said I hope Buffalo gets him in here and signs him, he's the over the top guy we need and he seems to have plenty of familiar faces here for him to get acclimated, maybe shady will be recruiting.
  5. I think it will be a down year, were all expecting that coaching will be a huge difference but McDermott is a first year HC, we can only hope he's the real deal but even then I don't think we quite have the talent yet, just my opinion though.
  6. He's not worth what he's getting paid but I see that more of a coaching problem, he finished top 10 in some stats even being bottom in the league in passing, not sure why he can't be a solid weapon and maybe an OC who can game plan him into plays specifically for Clay. Hopefully better coaches will help, I think it will.
  7. If it nets us our franchise QB i'm all for it, Watkins is great when healthy but that foot injury is no joke, at such a young age if we could get a first for him I think we'd be foolish not to.
  8. He went to Valdosta, the fact that he has a highlight video from there at all is amazing in itself. I don't have a clue where that school is without googling it.
  9. We found our weakside LB... Hodges, Ragland and Alexander, if nothing else our run defense should be a heck of alot better.
  10. I look at the DL in Carolina that is stacked with talent, I don't see any Chris Kelsay's.
  11. Another gem draft class by Whaley, I'm sure the team tried trading him but after that incident there was probably no takers.
  12. Great player, from what I've read he was a great dude, RIP Tez.
  13. I'm wondering what it will look like if Dawkins isn't able to transition to RT LT Cordy Glenn LG Ritchie Incognito OC Eric Wood RG Dion Dawkins RT Ryan Groy OG John Miller, RT Jordan Mills backing up.
  14. Were getting a QB next season unless either Taylor/Peterman/Jones bring us deep into the playoffs or a SB none of which I think were good enough to get to right now imo.
  15. It depends on your opinion really do you think the Texans have a solid roster? He was instrumental in getting the pieces needed, including Osweiler even though it doesn't mention him as being a main factor in pursuing Osweiler, I can't fault him for trying though.
  16. It's fair to say he was benched in numerous games because of his spotty play, although I don't think this scheme will exploit him like Ryan's, it's tough to say that just changing scheme's will fix his spotty play, one can only hope.
  17. The trenches win games on both sides of the ball, if you have a great OL and DL, odds are you're a playoff team, hopefully we start recognizing this. Obvious QB also, but I shouldnt have to say that we all know.
  18. http://texanswire.usatoday.com/2017/04/06/john-mcclain-both-bill-obrien-and-rick-smith-wanted-brock-osweiler/ It looks like the GM and HC wanted him. It says nothing about Gaine in this article at least but will we ever know? I was interested to see who wanted him also.
  19. I went with mildly optimistic, I love all the hires, I don't see us as a playoff team this year , I see us getting our franchise QB in 2018 and then the sky's the limit with us.
  20. I don't generally recommend workout videos because they're usually lame but I'm doing the body beast workout right now, I've gotten past the 3 month workout ( my problem was I wasn't a fan of working out with others but nobody to motivate me- double edged sword), I've went from 280 lbs. and now down to 230 lbs. just eating less portions and whey protein daily, the video cost me $64.00 total, it's been the best investment I've made in quite awhile, I look good, feel good and Sagi is an excellent motivator. Just my experience, it requires weights/ easy curl bar/ either a pull up doorway bar or rubberbands and a body ball or just a chair will do.
  21. Neither should be held accountable for another 2 seasons, they will weed out the players that don't fit and interject ones they feel do fit, no way can that be done in one season, 2 is even pushing it, I'd say after the 3rd year the results should definitely start to show for sure, not what fans want to hear but it's the harsh reality.
  22. I don't believe we'll have a good 2018 but that won't be the worst thing to happen. McDermott will have his 1st year running his system on defense so I'm sure they'll be learning curves, have they shored up the tackling problems? I'll be ok with them not doing well this season if it means a difference maker at QB, sorry to those who are sick of hearing it but I believe this will be a great draft class for QB's and I'm usually the one who hates hearing "next years class will be better" but there have been 6 high level QB's linked to round 1 next year, which I'm sure will change but it will be a very solid class imo.
  23. You call it what you want, both Beane and McDermott will want to build around what kind of vision they see for this team.... Our secondary already lost Aaron Williams, Stephon Gilmore, Corey Graham, Nickel Robey-Coleman, Jonathan Meeks and Duke Williams... Brought in Michah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Shareece Wright, Leonard Johnson, Trae Elston, Marcus Robertson and drafted Tre'Davious White. You call it what you want but we totally rebuilt the secondary up for better or worse, we'll see come Sept.
  24. I think having 2 like minded individuals as a cohesive unit is a great thing, we obviously haven't had that which is why we are where we are, not sure if it will work but I love the direction, now hopefully they'll get time to not only find the right players for McDermott but also have to contend with the best HC/QB in all of football right off the bat.
