Who writes this crap? If we were counting on 37 year old Anquan Boldin for anything other than leadership and as a possession WR then we were doomed from the get go. This whole "we don't have a deep threat", Mathews runs a 4.48 40, Zay Jones 4.47 40 time compared to Watkins 4.40 40 time, now that is straight line speed so running in a straight line there is no way .07 seconds is that much noticeable from Matthews to Watkins. We also have Charles Clay who if used wisely which TE Julius Thomas was in Denver's scheme can have the same type of impact no doubt in my mind. There are enough weapons here to do damage and an elite running game to boot.

I'd say : OG, OT, LB, S and a deep threat WR.

Run, Run and Run some more, I don't believe they signed 2 FB's by accident, 1 will block, Tolbert will handle goaline duties, McCoy will do everything and Williams will spell him. As far as the passing game goes, I think it'll be alot of short passes, bubble screens etc., quick passing routes.

Cameron Erving ranked in the bottom of the league at C, G and T s a pass blocker the last 2 seasons, was tied for 2nd among Centers in 2016 for allowing the most pressure and was beat out by a rookie Shon Coleman. That is not someone I have to have but that's just me.

I highly doubt we give up an asset (draft pick) for a marginal at best WR who may or may not even have a role on this roster.

My guess is that they will pick up a WR if they deem necessary with cuts that are coming since I highly doubt we give up any of our draft picks for another WR.

This defense requires an athletic, coverage type, which I still don't like Preston Brown as the starter since he doesn't fit the mold either, I'm surprised this isn't Hodges job to lose. I fully expect the Bills to draft a replacement for Preston brown in the first 2 rounds next year.

He would be awesome on the Steelers who are in the market for a corner.

I don't have any qualms about the guys we traded, much like Gabriel said, it was either not a scheme fit (Ragland/Darby) or can't stay healthy (Watkins), I fully believe with time this regime will get us on track but it wont be overnight, they need to purge all of Whaley's wrong doing and the first order of business is what do we do with this Dareus contract? The guy clearly can't help himself and I feel this guy is going to get kicked out of the league soon, can we trade and purge his contract? What can we get in return? After that a suitable MLB, a game changing WR, LeSean Mccoy replacement, an Oline replacemtn for Incognito/Miller, Mismatch TE, 2 OLB, another S opposite Hyde, franchise QB, That is alot of need there.

Nate Odomes - The guy always seemed to come up big when you needed him to, I'll never forget when he stripped the ball from I think it was a Seahawks player and ran it in for a TD.

You're comparing your job to an NFL player? You say you work at a job where you make good money saving peoples lives, I'm assuming if you ever failed a drug test you'd be gone no questions asked correct? See how different the 2 are already?

As bad as those drafts have been I'm still waiting to be epically bad so we can finally get a QB, we haven't held the #1 overall pick since 1985 who just happened to be the the all time leader in sacks a HOFer Bruce Smith, Let's be epically bad this 1 more time.

Or fans who undervalue the talent we have here without even actually looking at stats, Joe Haden was drafted 2 years before Gilmore and the stats are not far off at all considering the years played. Even if Gilmore only averaged 40 TAK those 2 seasons he'd have 306, 82 passes defensed (I went with a low ball 10 per season), 2 INT per season would be up to 18. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand, Darby didn't fit our scheme on defense and was also benched at times last season for poor play. Watkins has a ton of talent but can't stay healthy, can't pay a guy a ton of money who doesn't stay on the field, otherwise we'll have 2 Marcell's on the team.

He late hit Leveon Bell twice and I believe he was the same person to end his season early 2 years in a row.

Maybe I stretched it a bit with Garrapolo, just seems like everyone in NE system can be productive. I just think the Jets are sick of being the division B word and have decided to go for the QB fix everything, the jets have solid peices on the defense so getting the QB makes sense. The Bills are in the same boat, were used to watching bad football games anyways, whats 1 more season? Let's be honest this team has sucked for 17 years and we still sink money into them so you would do the same no matter what.

So when the Jets in our own division get that franchise QB, Pats have Garrapolo, Miami is the only other team without one, Tyrod Taylor isn't one, would you rather be up ***** creek for another year or 2 or for another 10?

I'm not sure we need a player like Phillip Dorsett, if were planning on heavily running the ball and getting the ball out quick then don't we have the perfect players in place? Clay can stretch the field and cause mismatches, Jones/Holmes outside with Matthews in the slot, what the problem is? I'd think if the team really needed that deep threat they would have kept Goodwin or Listenbee imo.

I don't believe we collected assets (extra 1st, 2nd, 3rd) just to blow it on an above average WR in Landry, just my opinion.

This OLine needs to be revamped next season for the new QB or he'll be killed. the entire right side unless Dawkins can become a legit RT for us.
