  1. Good signing, he deserved a spot on this team. Now he'll have to keep working hard.
  2. Just curious, what are the head scratching moves? Watkins? The guy who can't stay healthy yet will most likely be paid as a top 10 WR? Darby? The guy who was benched some games for spotty play and doesn't fit this type of scheme? I'm sure I won't be on board with every move they make but I have no qualms dealing both Watkins/Darby for future assets and players who do fit what were trying to do. That being said I don't miss Whaley in the slightest, I'm 100 % certain Whaley woul have given Watkins an outrageous contract with no out clause like the one given to Dareus in case of injury/suspension etc., just my opinions.
  3. 17 years of dumpster fire, it's been far too long and now you're pissed off?
  4. WR Kasen Williams even on the PS would be a solid pickup, OT Eric Winston would be either a solid starting RT or backup to take Jordan Mill's spot, cut Mills after the signing, Dt Ahtyba Rubin has to be a better player than Worthy, TE Gavin Escobar is probably better than both O'Leary or Logan and RB Matt Jones has to be better than Tawaiin Jones or Jordan Johnson.
  5. Get any HC/GM in this league a top level QB and they can be successful... Look at Jack Del Rio!
  6. I don't like making comparisons to established NFL players, Vick was in a league of his own, I think he was a better runner than Jackson with a better arm than him also but I think Jackson is more of a polished thrower than Vick, Vick needed to work that part in where I don't think Jackson will have to. I agree with Darnold 1 and Rosen 2 but tell me why unless he wants to get a degree would Darnold elect to stay in school unless he wasn't considered a top 1-5 pick? It would make no sense for him not to make himself eligible unless like I said he doesn't get that high grade.
  7. Let's be real here, do you remember him this preseason and thinking to yourself he was good enough to play alongside of someone like White as a starter? I thought Mabin (even with that disgusting last name) outplayed him completely but that's my opinion.
  8. I agree, it's actually refreshing to see were still not happy with this roster a few days before the season and still going after players they believe can help them.
  9. You think NFL scouts care about 1 game? They look at the entire body of work since his HS playing days up until now to see how he's progressed throughout the years, then they start picking apart the flaws/character and then determine the grade on each of these QB's. There is so much to like about Allen, besides his size (6'5", 234 lbs. or so), he has the arm to throw it from one side of the field to the other with ease as he displayed today, now you don't want to see him doing that very often even if he can because in the NFL that's a pick 6 almost every time, he has a gun slinger mentality and sometimes he gets a bit reckless with it, he also can throw all the NFL throws from his entire body of work that I've watched so far, he hasn't perfected them all yet but after seeing him make the throws i have zero doubt in my mind with solid coaching this kid can be something special, I also feel this way about Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold and Lamar Jackson, I know many people hate the way Jackson plays, I'm not necessarily a fan of running QB's but he also has a very good arm, he only completed 56% of his passes but an astounding 24.3% was a result of drops by WR/TE/RB, I'd like to see each drop and determine whether it was catchable or not. Also the OL for the Cards wasn't great as I recall, just my opinions.
  10. I liked Kaaya as a draft pick last season, thought we might take a shot at him, he'd be a solid developmental QB as a practice squad player for sure but that might be what the Lions are doing with him also.
  11. I just have a feeling we take the UCLA QB Josh Rosen, he has that cockiness to him that you see in many of the top QB's, solid arm, he's had some injuries but the Oline for the Bruins has been pretty rough, here's a solid Q&A with Josh Rosen on Bleacher Report. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2722587-josh-rosen-qa-ucla-qb-on-injuries-ncaa-and-post-nfl-goal-to-own-the-world
  12. Can the OP just copy and paste all the cuts on the first page so we don't have to go through 5 pages to look them up?
  13. I like the combo of Hyde/Poyer, I think they're really good fits scheme-wise and both had real good preseasons. I thought the same when he was cut but I like the combo we have now but that's just my opinion.
  14. Rosen or Allen will be our QB next year, I don't think were bad enough to land Darnold, unfortunately that will be the Jets.
  15. It doesn't bother me at all, sit or kneel if it makes you feel patriotic, I prefer standing but it's their right, nobody will be punished for it, we fought for that right.
  16. Preseason is to knock the rust off/ see what you have in rookies, un-drafted players and lower level free agents, they don't show the offense truly until the start of the season so you can expect Tolbert to be a solid goaline runner and short yardage, Dimarco will most likely be the lead blocker for McCoy and he'll be an added bonus on passing downs.
  17. If that's the case we have 2 deep threats on the team in Zay Jones/Jordan Matthews then, problem solved.
  18. He played for one of the worst defensive teams in football the past couple years, like some of the announcers said, they could have Deion Sanders in his prime back there and it won't matter without any pass rush.
  19. The only deep threat there is Dorsett, like i said in another thread, he wasn't very productive for playing with a QB like Andrew Luck.
  20. Why would we give up a pick for a WR if we can get them for nothing when they get cut? The reason why draft picks are so valuable is that you get that player for 4 years for less money with the option of a 5th year, so dumping a pick on a guy like Phillip Dorsett because he is fast seems like a bad idea imo, he has 2 years left on his contract and can't even make the starting roster with Andrew Luck at QB, that should tell you something about the player, Same goes for most of these guys.
  21. He seems like a veteran out there, he doesn't seem to be overwhelmed out there, having familiarity with his coach has to be making it even an easier transition.
