  1. I'm pretty sure Drew Bledsoe was thinking the exact same thing in NE.
  2. I'm usually coming out of the draft underwhelmed but not only do I think we have an immediate 3 holes filled at WR 2 or Slot WR, RT and CB 2/ NCB. All the rest was solid depth, I loved the Peterman pick, I watch a ton of Pitt Panther games, he won't blow you away with his arm but he has solid anticipation and an excellent grasp of the game, I think he'll be a solid backup. All the guys we seemed to pick were leaders/high character guys which makes the locker room that much more bareable.
  3. All first round picks are leverage, they are all considered assets, just look at KC, they traded the 27th OVR pick and moved up 17 spots, parted with a future 1st. I'd have to think they could also pull a Washington and throw in a 2019 pick to sweeten the deal, were getting a QB in next years draft.
  4. If they don't get drafted I'd be looking at: QB Chad Kelly RB Tion Green RB Christopher Carson RB De'Veon Smith WR Isiah Ford WR Noah Brown WR Damore'ea Stringfellow WR Jamari Staples WR Keon Hatcher WR Ishmael Zamora TE Pharoah Brown TE Anthony Auclair TE Jonathan Dorsey TE Blake Jarwin OT Brad Seaton * ( can't believe he's on the board) OT Jerry Ogukwe OT Dan Skipper OG Adam Pankey OG Evan Goodman OG Cameron Lee OC Kyle Fuller OC Jon Toth OC Chad Wheeler DL Bryan Cox Jr. (How fitting would that be?) DL Tashawn Bower DL Fadol Brown DL Keionta Davis LB Deveonte Fields LB Elijah Lee (He has no business going undrafted) LB Carroll Phillips (Same as above) LB Ben Boulware LB James Onwualu LB Keion Adams CB J.R. Nelson CB Channing Stribbling CB Ashton Lampkin CB Jack Tocho CB Ryan Lewis DB David Jones DB Josh Harvey -Clemons DB Jadar Johnson DB Jamal Carter K Conrad Ukopina K Matt Wogan P Kenny Allen P Cameron Johnston
  5. I can't believe TE Bucky Hodges went in the 6th freakin round, ran a 4.57 - 40 at 6'6", 257 lbs. That to me would have been a mismatch nightmare to cover and move him all around the field.
  6. What in the world would make you think for any reasoning that Cardale Jones will be a star? A guy who couldn't even become a starter after winning a championship? Other than arm strength what have you seen to make this judgement? I'm just curious not being an ass, I want to know maybe I missed the game where he showed you this.
  7. I love the pick, worst case scenario , he's a career backup and obviously best case he's a franchise QB, not sure he has the arm strength to be the #1 but that's the same thing they said about Montana, Brady etc. so we'll see but they are finally at least attempting to upgrade the most important position.
  8. Son of Robert Jones of the Dallas Cowboys who beat us twice in the SB and uncle of Jeff Blake, some nice bloodlines there.
  9. There is still some real good TE talent but that could be gone fast by the time we pick in the 5th.
  10. There are some really good and surprising players still around for the bills to take, They don't pick until mid 5th round so 40+ players will be gone before we pick again but here are some names that I'd really like to see here. Feel free to add your wish list of prospects also. QB Nathan Peterman- He would be an excellent guy to learn behind Tyrod Taylor QB Brad Kaaya- I like the arm and think he could at the very least be a serviceable backup to Taylor. QB Joshua Dobbs- Not a huge fan of running QB's but he has more upside to me than Cardale Jones. RB Brian Hill- He's the only RB I'd be eyeing to actually spend a draft pick on. TE Bucky Hodges- I liked him over Engram who I believe went to the Giants, this guy will be a steal for some team. TE Jordan Leggett- He'd also be a solid pickup. TE Jake Butt- Not a huge fan of his but maybe with our last pick if he's still there? WR Josh Malone- I liked the Zay Jones pick alot but why stop there, we need more depth and Malone is my favorite WR in this draft class. WR Josh Reynolds- For all these WR's we still need to add solid depth and I like all the rest I have listed. WR Dede Westbrook WR Chad Henson DL Carl Lawson- Injury concerns with him but could be an outstanding value pick at DE. DL Carlos Watkins- Underrated player imo, solid anchor for the interior of the DL. LB Anthony Walker Jr.- Known as " the franchise" by the team, solid production from him and could be a good candidate for at least depth at WLB. CB Desmond King- I don't think the Bills are done drafting for secondary, I'm surprised King is still available. CB Howard Wilson- Great size, solid athlete, would be a great fit as a NCB. S Tedric Thompson- Good tackler, excellent instincts, a baller at Colorado. K Zane Gonzalez- Because kickers are people to and we need to give Haushka some competition right? I mean he did miss those XP's and all.
  11. If HC McDermott truly values character he won't be on the Bills unless he goes undrafted which is a possibility.
  12. I'm pretty sure this is why we picked up Poyer/Hyde to play these versatile roles.... My understanding is that we will be a nickel base defense 75% of the time with 2 LB on the field (Lorenzo Alexander/Reggie Ragland?) , Maybe Hyde is going to play the Deone Buchanon role of LB/S hybrid ? There will still be cuts after the draft so I won't worry about it until we go into the season with Roman Humber as our WLB.
  13. I hear you on the QB situation but I'm pretty sure they made that deal knowing they now have more ammo to move up the draft board for QB in 2018.
  14. I for one like this draft, he seems like one of those guys you can plug and play right away, I didn't even think of the OT conversion, solid pickup but if Whaley is wrong that means he would have 2 2nd round RT busts in Kouandjio and Dawkins, I hope not because I like this Dawkins kid alot.
  15. I know, could we really get 3 starters in a draft, that is so unBills-like
  16. Just saw on NFL Now the Bills gave up the 2nd and KC 3rd for the Rams 2nd and 5th round picks.
  17. I like the 2 guys we drafted, they both seem like quality guys and if they both start it's a bonus. I'm hoping Duke Riley is still there for us in the 3rd and I'll be ecstatic.
  18. I hate the fact that we gave up a pick but I really like the player selected, I think Zay Jones can be an excellent compliment to Watkins if we can get a QB who can hit all these targets we'll be golden .
  19. I came away very impressed also, now I get what they mean by "class act", he seems like a genuine kid, I hope he does great things for us because I think the locker room just got a really nice boost with White now added to it.
  20. Forest Lamp, Dalvin Cook and Zach Cunningham are excellent values here in the 2nd, doubtful we take Cook.
  21. I thought he went through a traumatic situation, promised his grandma on her death bed that he'd fulfill his dream and did that, he had an emotional moment but I saw absolutely nothing wrong with it, love that kind of unscripted emotion but that's just me.
  22. I don't get the Davis Webb hype, he isn't great at anything he does, I think Nathan Peterman is a better overall prospect.
  23. The upside of this is the rookie contract, compared to the millions just shelled out to Gilmore you can spend money elsewhere, if he's even close to the player Gilmore is it's a huge win for your team.
  24. Doug I'm handing you this phone to make it look like you're the GM, don't !@#$ this up!!!!
  25. They do a good thing and acquire solid picks this year and next and would do the Bills thing and trade up for a WR giving up another asset, let the draft come to you is what I always say unless it's a QB you stay put and take the best players or trade down and get more assets.
