  1. I understand what you're saying. I just disagree that Rosen, Darnold, Allen and Mayfield are potential franchise QBs for the Browns and I don't think any of them are worth the risk as a high draft pick. The California QBs are too much of a risk for cold weather teams IMO and with the track record the Browns have they would be better off going after AJ or Cousins in FA. When it comes to the Bills, I really don't think any of these QB is the answer. I'm just not overly impressed. Seems like you use to be able to draft a QB and he was capable of running a pro offense, now a days you draft a QB and you have to design an offense around him, locking you into a certain skill set at QB. With the Bills thy have so many needs and missing the playoffs for 17 years in a row took its toll on the team and fan base. They can't go backwards this year and miss the playoffs again by throwing away a lot of draft picks and players to get a QB that might be good. Just seems like a very big risk. Don't get me wrong, I'll support the team and I would love for them to land a QB that can throw over the middle and anticipate a WR open, I just don't think that guy is in this draft. Maybe he is, but is it worth the risk?
  2. I'd take Jim Brown and then one of the QB...but again, it seems like you're comparing some just eh' QBs to three hall of famers. If I'm the Browns I'm getting my QB in FA and then I'm taking the RB with the first pick then I'm spending my entire draft on defense.
  3. The Browns can get a QB in FA (Cousins or AJ), draft the RB out of Penn State, not have to give up any of their draft picks and they can work the rest of the draft filling their roster out with good defensive players and they could be pretty good next year.
  4. You can't be serious? There is a HUGE difference in this class and that class that produced, Kelly, Marino and Ellway. The younger QBs coming out of college all have some questions.
  5. 1. Kiper is an idiot 2. Who really cares, seriously, just because they draft a QB doesn't mean its going to work out. 3. All teams are looking to get better
  6. Mahomes? Really? KC will be kicking themselves in two years for that trade as well as sending Smith to Washington. Mahomes will be nothing better than average. As for Watson seems to be a great player, but will he come back from his injury? Only time will tell. The Bills seem to be looking for the right QB not just a QB, they made the playoffs finally and are pointed in the right direction and thankfully they didn't listen to some of the people on this board and reach for a joker like Mahomes.
  7. Yea, I understand the situation, just some people seem to think they are going to trade him for a 3rd round pick and those same people will say he sucks...well if he sucks the Bills are not going to be trading him for a 3rd round pick. You can't say he sucks and then claim he's got trade value. He will be released.
  8. I would be happy as well with this. Keeping those draft picks would be great and I have a feeling a QB will fall to the Bills in the first round. And if one didn't then get some line help on both sides of the ball as well as LBs. They really need a pass rusher that can push the pocket. The right side of the OL needs to be upgraded, LB are needed, DE and DT are also needed. Keep the secondary together and get guys to put pressure on the QB and they will be a very good team.
  9. So, Taylor stinks and we need an upgrade yet he's worth a trade? I'm not following this logic at all, if Taylor isn't good then what makes anyone think you can trade him? If he's good enough to trade then he's good enough to keep. The Bills will just cut him and then they will end up with a rookie who is 50/50 at best at being a good QB or they will find a guy like Bradford who will get hurt by the carpet at practice (I don't think they got rid of that thing yet) and then they will have to scramble to find a replacement. I'll just sit back and watch.
  10. You can find the games online, no need for Sunday ticket.
  11. If todays posts are correct and Smith is a Redskin and Cousins is a Bronco what does that leave out there in FA? I don't think you throw money at Bridgewater and Bradford seems to be hurt more than health. Taylor in 2018 with a short leash and Peterman as his backup - buckle up everyone.
  12. Well, if all this is true then I guess we can stop with all the Cousins and Alex Smith talk on here. Bring on Bradford talk, it'll be great watching him play in 5 games before he gets hurt.
  13. I caught this article today: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/ranking-the-top-6-destinations-for-cousins-after-redskins-landed-smith/ar-BBIuDka?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=ientp#page=2 I find it funny. Buffalo has $29.4 million in cap space and apparently outside of a 29 year old McCoy they have nothing on offense. Clay & Benjamin don't count I guess. Yet Jackassville with $16 million and Denvelway with $29 million are both better options? Sorry, but watching the playoffs this year, had the Bills had a QB like Cousins they would have beaten Jackassville and I do believe they could have given NE a good run for their money. If the Bills can use their draft picks to fill the OL and DL and they have a solid QB they will be a true contender. Denver has some serious problems and Jacksonville just doesn't have the cap space. If he's chasing the money then the Browns or Jets would be the best option. If he's looking for a team he can make a playoff run with then Buffalo is as good a team as any.
  14. This really isn't easy. I'm all for KC but not if Denvelway is going to over pay him. I think he could be very good in Buffalo and I think he would make the Bills a contender but he's not elite and shouldn't be paid like elite. He's needs to be paid accordingly. If the cost is too high then the Bills need a different plan at QB. I'd rather the Bills keep their draft picks and look at getting some DL, LB and OL help early in the draft. Then again it all depends on what they do in FA.
  15. The Bills already have a QB on the roster that's afraid to throw the ball there's no need to get a different version simply because.
  16. I disagree. Nothing wrong with a guarantee due to injury. Dude can't earn a living in his profession and the Bills are taking care of him. I have no issues with this, he's been a great team player and leader, the team took care of him and he's now done with football.
  17. Wow, only a Bills fan would spin this into something more. Dude's career just ended and yet here we are with a thread crying about his contract. SMH.
  18. I think that's more the system in Philly. Foles wasn't great at Arizona, good but not great and he wasn't anything special when he was traded to the Rams.
  19. This is simple. You give up nothing and you get Cousins. Did anyone hear Romo during the game? If the Bills had a QB this season they would be a very good and dangerous team. You have 2 interior linemen getting long in the tooth and you have Shady up there in age. The time is now and Cousins can come in and get the job done. Keep you draft picks and bring in DL, LB, OL help. You can get a LB and an RT in the first round without loosing picks. The second can bring you a DT. The key is going to be getting Cousins and keeping Gains. This team isn't that far off from where they can compete. I personally don't see the value in trading away draft picks to go after a QB that may or may not pan out when you know you can get a guy that already has experience and can win in the NFL. And before the ANTI-Cousins people start, look at his numbers this year and then look at who he had a WR, he actually had a very good year.
  20. I wouldn't be able to sit through an interview with that jackass. He's a moody B word. Let him stay where he is.
  21. Fair enough. I still don't like how that reads - lol.
  22. So you honestly think Wentz, Goff, Cam, Mariota, Luck, Wilson & Garrapolo are all on the same level as Elway, Marino, Kelly, Brady and the Mannings after 2 seasons? I think not. When you look at them, each team has a system in place that works for those QBs. Cousins is young enough you can put him on the Bills roster, and use their current draft pics to fill areas of need and you're looking at a contender.
  23. It will be Cousins. Not sure why everyone seems to think the next Brady, Elway, Marino or Kelly is coming out of college anytime soon. Just not happening. The college game has changed and it's limiting the QB position for the NFL. The Bills are better off picking up a QB in the offseason and using the draft picks to fill areas of need, then once they have a solid roster in place they can move up and grab a younger QB they like. IMO there aren't any QBs coming out of college that are going to take over a game and win it for you like back in the day. Times change.
