  1. When I lived in Buffalo I had some personal interactions with Sully and to be honest I found him lacking in all aspects of being a human. There are a few that I will read their articles but for the most part I get my Bills news from here as well as family & friend still in the Buffalo area.
  2. While I have a break in work I was thinking back to the 90's and the players. Thurman Thomas to be specific. I think it was during his HOF speech he said, when he scored his first touchdown he did a dance or something and when he got back to the sidelines Marv told him to act like he's been there. From that moment on I don't remember Thurman celebrating. Today players celebrate everything. First downs, sacks, a simple catch and touchdowns are larger celebrations. Personally I'm not a big fan of the celebrating. How does everyone else feel? Could you imaging your co-worker in the next cube over celebrating sending an email successfully?
  3. Sorry to disappoint you (no I'm really not), but my username on BBMB was Yavstr, not that it matters.
  4. Again, taking the time to talk to someone and get to know them goes a long way. He was trying and had some really good ideas but the other mods had a different opinion. He handed me a few infractions, some I didn't really agree with and we had PM's back-and-forth about them and in the end agreed to disagree on those topics but never once was he rude or disrespectful to me. He took the time to hear my point of view and I extend the same courtesy back to him based on his polite responses. I guess it all depends on the individuals.
  5. I personally found StandingBuffalo to be a very good mod. There were some difficult choices to make but in my interaction with him I found him to be very open minded and polite. I think some people just didn't want to give anyone the time or consideration. Its possible to disagree with someone and keep it polite. In the end we are all fans of the Buffalo Bills and we all want to see the team succeed.
  6. This is a very difficult topic. At times you watch Taylor and you realize how electrifying he is as a player and other times you get frustrated with his lack of field vision. Then I look at they type of offense that Dennison runs and I get excited. With Manning as a QB Denver didn't use the rollout much but in Texas that was a big part of his offense and I think that is something Taylor does really well. We can all agree that throwing over the middle was an issue for Taylor, but if he's rolling out, the field would be cut in 1/2 giving him easier reads. That get me excited and I think Taylor can be very successful in that system. Do you keep Taylor with that in mind or do you start over? Very difficult decision.
  7. +1 for NO. Personally I think the rest of the NFL needs to take notes. You don't trade with NE. Let them sit on the players they have. Eventually they will have to start to cut players and thats when you can pick up their castoffs. I honestly don't see Hogan sticking around in NE, but I can see Woods being a long time target there. He really fits their system. Great blocker, good hands, runs crisp routes and has elusive speed and YAC ability. Hogan is horrible. I could never understand why so many fans loved him. He has 50/50 hands, isn't a very good route runner, doen't really have YAC ability. I was so happy he left Buffalo I considered having a party.
  8. I'm not putting too much into this. There have been so many reports about the Bills being dysfunctional over the past year and during the coaching search but they did manage to get a top coaching candidate and he has put together a very good staff (on paper). Over the past few weeks I've read an interview with Lynn and his interview made it seem like Rex was checked out as a coach and really the root of a lot of problems over the past two years. I'm taking the wait and see approach with this new staff. I didn't understand the Rex hire and tried to give him a chance but his personality as a HC just wasn't something I personally like.
  9. We can blame the mods all we want but the posters are what really messed that board up. If you didn't agree with the loud mouthed jackasses you were ignored, called a troll and insulted on a regular basis. If you tried to stay positive and up-beat about the team, coaching staff and management you were accused of drinking the Koolade. And over the past few months those same jackasses would start the same threads over and over and over. I can't even tell you how many Taylor threads were started. In all honesty I think the mods just gave up knowing the board was coming to an end. Seriously to keep that **** show under control would have been a full time job for at the very least two mods. Here's to hoping the doom and gloom, know-it-all jackasses don't follow everyone here.
  10. I've done a lot of reading on this site over the past year but never registered. I was a BBMB member since 2006 but didn't post a lot simply because most of the people on there were know-it-all-jackasses. Seemed like over the past four months it was the same few posts being started daily by what seemed like the same 20 people. I personally had a few conversations with the mods over there about the problems and over the last few weeks there was actually one 1 mod who was trying to get things corrected but was met with resistance from the other mods. Either way it's for the best. There has been much better topics of conversation here.
