  1. Kyle Williams, Fred Jackson and Shady... Aaron Schobel was one of my least favorite "lunch box" players. Couldn't stand him. He played great against crappy players and never showed up when needed.
  2. So giving a ton of draft picks up for a rookie that won't probably be much better than Cousins is the way to go? There are 2 problems facing the Bills. The current draft class doesn't have a can't miss QB and the Bills have a lot of holes. QB, RB, OL, DL, LB, WR Whatever they decide to do they just better be going after the QB that fits their system and it better be a good one.
  3. Tell that to Denver after they got Manning. NO after they got Drew. San Fran who got Jimmy G. It happens. Cousins would be a good fit for Buffalo and if you can get him as a FA and keep your picks to fill the roster then it s win. There's no guarantee that a rookie will work out.
  4. I don't care what anyone says. I'd rather keep the picks and see if the Bills can land Cousins. The pics are worth more than an unproven rookie QB that more than likely will take most of our top picks to reach for. I'd rather use the pics on DL, OL, LB, WR and pick a RB in the 3rd or 4th. Its time to build a team and have the pieces in place, if they can't land Cousins then get your QB in the next draft after you have the pieces in place to not get the kid killed.
  5. He is very good, the Skins are just a messed up franchise that commits to crap and can't commit to solid players.
  6. Heck with that go after Cousins and build the line and get some pass rushing help and LB's.
  7. Unless Arizona has a new coaching staff he doesn't fit the system. Denver already has too many QB in the stable. Cleveland, Washington and Jackassville might be landing spots with both the Jets and Giants as outside chances. There will not be a very big market for him and with some other possible guys on the market that window will be less. Look at the 2018 possible free agents: Alex Smith Kirk Cousins Sam Bradford Case Keenum Josh McCown Mike Glennon Blake Bortles Now think about the six teams listed: Arizona Cleveland Denver Jackassville New York Jets Washington I think you can figure out a better option for each team with the other possible 7 QB's listed. Arizona - Cousins or Smith Cleveland - Glennon, Taylor, Keenum, Bortles Denver - (too many already on the roster) but Smith or Cusins Jackassville - Keenum, Bortles, Taylor Jets - McCown (because he's looked good enough for them) Washington - Smith Bradford will not hit the market and if the Giants move on from Manning that's just another option to add to the mix of QB options.
  8. Ha, he wouldn't last a game in Arizona. Arians likes to chuck the ball around and go vertical but that offense is also built around timing and slants. Not what Taylor does very well.
  9. I don't understand some fans. I like Taylor and was hoping he would take a big step forward and show something. After watching the season Taylor isn't anticipating throws and that's allowing teams to stack the box and stop the run. The offense is built on timing and Taylor isn't following through with the progressions. Everyone thinking he's great fit in Arizona has no idea about their offense at all.
  10. I can this this being a very close and hard fought game. The Jets have been playing well and they aren't going to just quit. The Bills are going to have to earn a win.
  11. Taylor is the guy. The Bills will work out a long term deal with him. He's a true team player and protects the ball, he's not worried about his stats he's worried about winning. Watching him develop has been frustrating yet fun. If the Bills don't have to waste draft picks to move up for a rookie QB then they can focus on building this team and grooming Peterman to take over for Taylor. Build the OL build the D and keep the line moving.
  12. Some of you are hung up on these comp pics. They don't need them. You keep the players that fit your system. Taylor fits this system and is playing great, you surround him with talent and develop Peterman behind him this team is going to be solid.
  13. Its in the Bills best interest for Taylor to be the guy. They can then use their picks to build this team and groom Peterman. Draft team guys, the current rookies are playing great and this offense doesn't need an elite WR it's built around play action and great catching TEs. Keep building the D and putting pieces in place for the O and this team with the coaching staff will be great.
  14. And look at how well the Bills rookies are doing this year. Sorry but this staff has brought in some damn good players and they are playing as a team. Right now they are winning all the off season trades they made. Watkins hasn't been elite for the Rams but Gains has been fantastic for the Bills. Darby is injured and Mathews has been great. Marcel wasn't putting out an effort and is one off field issue from being out of the league. Now he's jackassvills problem. The bills are 5-2 without Darby, without Watkins and without Marcel. The difference is a culture change from the top down.
  15. I don't understand the hate for this young man on here. He must of kicked the crap out of a lot of people on here, stole money from them and slept with their wifes/girlfriends. Just keep in mind coaching has a lot to do with things. Look at the defense this year compared to last year. I'm not saying EJ should have stayed in Buffalo, but I do think a fresh start and better coaching can help a player. It's possible he's developed into a competent backup for Oakland. At this point I don't see him carrying the team but I think he can keep them in games. Just my 2¢
  16. IDK - the Bills are 3-1 and in first place and they've done that by beating teams that everyone is saying they can't beat and they are one completion from beating Carolina and a 4-0. So not sure how anyone can second guess the coach at this point in time.
  17. KC would argue. They won last year due to the D scoring points and calls going their way. Personally I think the Bills are doing exactly what they need to do to win right now. The O is still developing and the D is playing really well. Can't take anything away from them at all. They were underdogs and they won the game on the road vs a team that most are picking to go back to the SB
  18. The coaching staff. The entire D. Taylor Shady Clay Hyde
  19. I don't think it's that. Teams are stacking the box and are going to do that until the passing game can sustain success and I think they are still finding their identity in the passing game. The 2nd half of that Denver game the passing game sure did pick it up and teams are going to have to start to respect them.
  20. I was concerned with the trade, but now that we get to see what the Bills have I actually think it was a good deal for the Bills. I don't know what they plan on doing in the draft, but right now the Bills D looks really good. That secondary is a lot better and they are doing it with a rookie. Sammy is going to want big money in the offseason and probably wouldn't be possible to stay in Buffalo. For once the Bills got something for a player. If this D can maintain their play the Bills are going to be in every game this year and if the offense can start to figure itself out they are going to be just fine. Imaging going into the draft with out a question with Taylor and Peterman. The Bills could use their first 4 picks on LB, OL, DL and WR and they would still have 2 more picks in the 3rd round. Anyway just my 2¢
  21. You're kidding right? Banyard can give the Bills what Gillislee did and Hogan wouldn't be a #1 in Buffalo. Jones and Matthews are better than Hogan and Tate is probably better as he can actually run routes and get separation. Some of you need to let it go. The scrub has been gone since last year and isn't coming back, and he probably would have been cut or traded this offseason anyway.
  22. Gillie would be a backup and Hogan would be #4 because he sucks. I'm sick of hearing about that scrub. He is gone and I'm happy for it. He doesn't get separation and is a poor route runner. As for Gillmore, I'm not so sure he is better than what the Bills have due to scheme. As for the comment, doesn't matter much. Sometimes you say thing and you regret it. He's on live TV and he has a low opinion of the Bills talent right now, most fans have a low opinion as well. Only time will tell and only wins will change that. The Bills are working towards something finally, they have what looks to be a solid coaching staff, let's see what happens.
  23. Gilmore isn't great. He's decent but not worth the money NE is paying him. He takes plays off and he misses tackles and at times does blow coverage. TD Mike is a nice player to have on your roster but he's not going to carry the load for your team. NE is going to find that out and Hogan is what he is. For some reason fans like him. I was happy as hell to see him go. He gets no separation unless there's blown coverage and he's got stone hands along with poor route skill. Yea, I know he had a good year for NE - who cares, he was the last option on a team that was stacked. NE went looking for more help because they know they can't depend on the scrub. I'm sure NE will find some way to bounce back, and I'm sure it's going to have little to do with them bringing ex-Bills players in.
