NFL announces 2023 compensatory draft picks
LABILLBACKER replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand compensatory picks. I don't understand dead cap. I don't understand what's a catch anymore. I don't understand how wind can be confused. I don't understand why we didn't pooch with :13. I really don't understand why we don't help Josh. -
NFL announces 2023 compensatory draft picks
LABILLBACKER replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shouldn't we get some compensatory picks for firing 5 scouts. -
If he's there, he's the pick. That means the top OL/WR are gone. I would have absolutely no problem with Bijan considering the 27th pick is like a 2nd rounder. Then draft OL (Avila) @ 59.

Should we trade Ed Oliver?
LABILLBACKER replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm afraid you're right. He's exactly like Gabe. One good game followed by 3 mediocre. I'd trade them both for a 3rd each. It's not like we're keeping them. -
Is there any defensive player you'd be happy with at pick 27?
LABILLBACKER replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think some wrs are going to surprise people. Addison, JSN, Flowers and Tillman all impressed me at the combine drills. It's not a forced pick if you don't have incompetent scouts. We don't have the luxury to wait till next year to start grabbing wrs for Josh. -

We just need to draft the precious.... Under no circumstances should we draft a 1st round replacement for Poyer or Edmunds. Benford can play safety and we can easily find a low cost fa LB for Edmunds. I want either JSN or the best OT left at 27. Avila at 59. Demario Douglas in the 5th round. -
Could Dion Dawkins be an "elite" Guard??
LABILLBACKER replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't have a problem with his contract nor moving him to LG. If Jones were to fall to us it would make for an interesting decision by Beane. The idea if Dion moving to LG has been kicked around before. Saffold is out the door and Spencer playing RT terrifies me. This is the long overdue season we go crazy on OL. -
Micah Hyde on Good Morning Football

I'm not paying him anymore than Gabe. They're both way too inconsistent for 10M/yr. Trade Ed while he still has some value. -
Drafting Has Been A Problem For Decades
LABILLBACKER replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Having the worst scouts in the NFL will do that. -
Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds

Greg Cosell has been quoted as saying the Bills probably have one of the best value contracts in the NFL with Milano and his production. -
Who's our slot WR in 2023, Shakir or...?
LABILLBACKER replied to Nephilim17's topic in The Stadium Wall
I could live with a platoon of Shakir & Beasley but Shakir better get 60-70% of the touches. I'd love to see us draft someone like Demario Douglas in the 6th round to compete at slot after Beasley is gone. Save 27 or 59 for WR2 prospect. -
Eric Wood/ Last Bills Oline drafted in 1st round/2009
LABILLBACKER replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, but for the sake of sanity, common sense and Josh Allen this organization better go HARD this offseason on OL. We need to replace Saffold & Brown immediately as starters. And we'll need a new C and maybe a Bates upgrade next year. -

LABILLBACKER replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why?....it's not like Spencer Brown is ever going to improve. -

Half the price?....how bout a 3rd the price. Guys like Vander Esch or Al-Shaair would cost 7/8 per year. It's officially time to allocate more resources to the offense. -
IF the Bills did trade down, Who would you like?
LABILLBACKER replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bijan would be almost impossible not to pick if he falls. But on the other hand, he's the kind of player who would land us extra picks. Wouldn't want to be Beane this offseason. -
Corta great write up. Also hoping for more Sunday and less Thursday. I'm sure with JA we'll get the 5 prime time max. I'll just be rooting for a calmer less chaotic season. Let's start with NE at home.

Re-signing Edmunds for 17-20 is what I would call a felony. It's time to accept we're saying goodbye to Jordan, Tremaine and Devin.
-
He can start by finding a trade down partner for 27. Then with an extra 2nd/3rd find very good OL/WR players. Maybe a late diamond at safety?

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR
LABILLBACKER replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
....all the way up to the point when they're dismissed due to incompetence like Farwell & Frazier. Dude should've just called plays from the start like Andy does. -
Is there any defensive player you'd be happy with at pick 27?
LABILLBACKER replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bijan drops to 27 (which I think is very unlikely), Beane will have an extremely difficult decision. On one hand you have the fans looking for that Thurman type RB for Josh. And it looks like Robinson is the real deal. Then there's the fans who say we hardly run anyway, so why waste the pick. I don't have any crystal ball but you gotta hit on your 1st rounder. It's expected to be an immediate starter who's on a cheap 5 yr contract. Just a brutal call when you're drafting this late. -
....now that's entertainment Augie....
