1. First he hast to stay healthy
2. Second he's gotta contribute as a punt return threat.
3. Third he's gotta fill that deep threat plus bubble screen role effectively.
If he can accomplish these markers and maybe give us 5-6 tds and 600 yards he'll be worth the 3.7 cap hit. If some of these expectations fail, then yes it's an overpay. We'll see what chemistry develops with Josh?
F@%&
Probably true but if we had someone better than Keenum last year, we might have been able to shut down Josh for a couple weeks to help the elbow. We obviously had no faith in case.
Bijan Robinson?
Derek Henry?
Dalvin Cook?
...now if our offensive coaches were serious about building a better run game than these rumors might have some merit. But we will throw the ball the majority of the time, so why waste time reading these ridiculous RB proposals?
Grab a Jamaal Williams cheap and call it a day. There will be a couple udfa rbs to evaluate.
Yeah like the player but hopefully the contract structure is lower than what we see. McKenzie is officially gone. Hines is our return guy, so Harty will move into what we should've gotten out of BBQ. Like to see some go routes for him too. Lastly his speed on tape looks much faster than his 4.48?
How'd that 50 yard drop in the Cincy game sit with you. We've seen that before and you know we'll see it again. I could care less about age. Give me a receiver who can catch the damn ball.
I don't recall seeing amazing coverage skills during the Houston, Cincy and KC playoff loses. I'd be perfectly fine with Klein or Al-Shaair/ Vander Esch type around 7M. Lavonte would also do just nicely on a 2 yr deal but it'll cost 9M/ yr. So take your pick?
Hopefully Chapter 2 involves more aggressive man press in the playoffs. If I hear we're a top 5 defense one more time I'll puke. Get it done in the playoffs and stop being candy asses with that soft zone.
Yes Cam is awful whether as a STer or backup db. I really was convinced he was getting cut after the way he played last season. Other than Bass, Martin & Hines, I don't understand why everyone else isn't the $940k minimum?
Listen, I'm not going to argue the pros & cons of Edmunds anymore. He's gone and frankly it's exhausting. McB did the right thing letting him walk for the 18M he got. I like what Lavonte can bring as a veteran bridge LB for maybe a couple years @ 9M. He can mentor a new LB and yes he's likely to make a few more splash plays than Tremaine. Sign me up......
Spotrac has David @ 9.7 so I'd only sign him to a 2 year deal totaling 18M. But be aware that's going to take a big chunk out of offensive FA cap money.
