I think you’re onto something here. The suspended players will be back on the roster soon. They’re trying to hang onto their guys vs making cuts. Tough choices I’m sure , but better than releasing a guy you think may get picked up.

I disagree. It usually takes a fair bit of luck to win the SB. While only a few teams really have a chance to win it in any given season, they certainly don’t all beat 3 great teams en route to hoisting the Lombardi. . Things often fall into place favorably for many of those SB winners.

If using last years final ranking then yes, that makes sense. I took the question to mean will it improve from the first games or “ now” through the end of this season. The question wasn’t asked in say, June. I’m not even sure where the Bills defense stands now as far as rankings go, but it’s safe to say most fans have concerns. I think this is more than just about defensive rankings anyway. The Bills defense has failed in the playoffs even when they were highly ranked statistically.

I think the Bills defense will improve as the season progresses. I don’t believe it will finish as a top 10 unit or anything but there will be significant improvement.

After 3 games our kick coverage looks pretty bad. Gave Miami a great start to last nights game. Hopefully they can figure this thing out quickly.

The season is a marathon, not a sprint. They’re managing Josh’s exposure somewhat too. Didn’t need to take unnecessary risks vs this opponent.

Really good game plan by McD vs Fields led Jets. Not much from Josh, but not a lot required. Notch the division W and move on.

Lots of teams win games vs other teams that are hobbled by injuries- even Super Bowl winners. No one remembers what injuries the opponents had - just who won the trophy.

Functioning at a high level is great, but we must be realistic. The team lost something like 2 fumbles last season. Fumbles are a bit fluky of a stat- they tend to even out a bit more as the ball takes funny bounces. It’s not a stat I would expect to be duplicated , or even close really. This definitely could lead to a few more L’s. As you stated , we will see.

Can’t get too excited about this signing. Former 7th round pick of Packers , also spent time with the Dolphins. When searched ,most photos that come up are of him on a gurney after an injury.
