Is the ball control offensive approach mostly to protect the defense?
Boatdrinks replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
You need to be able to devise / execute a game plan that’s right for the opponent and the environment the game is being played in. The adaptability is just good coaching. I’d expect this game will look a good deal different than vs Ravens. The Bills will have a good plan that will enable them to achieve victory. -
I’m very happy with how far we made it.

Going into this season with all the changes considered, I thought they were capable of maybe 10 wins. Thats if everything went well and because they have Josh Allen. Still, since 2020 I have to consider anything short of an AFC title game appearance a failure of some measure. That could mean front office, coaching, players etc. Well, they have achieved that, and at a level of performance that I just didn’t think was possible this year. I believe they are capable of winning it all ; this team has something special about it. So I don’t want to wrap up my overall feelings on the season and put a bow on it just yet. The football left to be played is too exciting for that. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

I’d guess that they feel like they’ve faced them 10 times and won half of them. For many of these players it’s 3 of the last 4. -
The AFC Championship game is not sold out yet

They probably are over mere AFC Championship games and have turned their focus on the Super Bowl. First world fanbase problems. -
Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
Boatdrinks replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, the classic Patty INT/ sack flag. Maddeningly predictable -
Agree. Love his energy and toughness , but you know the Chiefs will be trying to bait him into a retaliation of some sort.

I’m calling BS on this map. KC fatigue is real .. -

Torbert is worst of the bunch. I’d probably hope for Martin out of that group. -
This is correct. He could have fallen on the ball and took the loss, lived to fight another down. He tried to recover and make a play, just doing a bit too much for the situation. He’s a great player , but not free from criticism. Other Ravens made mistakes too, but Jackson had two critical turnovers.

We’ll probably get son of two guns Hochuli for the next one but Clete is not bad for this game. -
Being nitpicky: please let Allen pass the ball more
Boatdrinks replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure , we’d love every game to be a blowout win. Who was predicting that in this case ? This was a close matchup, and not a particularly great one for the Bills. The coaches devised a way they thought they could limit Henry, keep the ball to limit Baltimore possessions, and wear down the Ravens DL. It just wasn’t going to be a high flying Josh Allen affair. It worked for the most part. The late first and goal was not a brilliant series by the OC, and he went back to a largely unsuccessful toss play more times than I’d like. I don’t think anyone envisioned a two touchdown Bills win vs that team , so I’m not worried that it wasn’t. Top to bottom I think the Ravens are better than the Chiefs. -
Still far from a certainty . Statistically unlikely . The most likely scenario there is a game winning FG. I’d rather have the ball in that situation than be on defense. Most football fans would agree I’m sure.

He said it was so I’ll take him at his word. If it was sarcastic and he wouldn’t back it up then it’s pretty weak by him. -
Large plays wouldn’t have been necessary. There was 1:30 or whatever remaining. The Bills had timeouts , and would only need a FG as time expired for the win. I doubt the Bills would “ play for the OT” in that situation. Imagine for a second thinking -great the Bills tied the game and only left 1:30 for Mahomes to get the win. We’re going to OT for sure! Thats absurd and so is thinking OT or even a loss was going to be inevitable.

Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
Boatdrinks replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d like more from Kincaid , but a lot of what we saw last night was rather game plan specific. The Ravens were a mismatch for the Bills - as everyone pointed out to us. The Bills staff designed a gameplan to win the game regardless. I don’t think the KC gameplan will look the same at all. -
Divisional Round, Ravens v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
Boatdrinks replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they got the TD on that drive anyway, but it was a really good play by Hamlin. -
Eh, Overtime was far from a given. The Bills would have had about 1:30 or so to move down the field and notch a winning FG.

Please no Hochuli or Torbert
