They sure are. Easiest draw of the road teams, except maybe how Rams/Minny played out. Still failed in craptacular fashion.
-
And ca$h in opportunities when you get them early.
-
I can’t stand Burrow, but he’s a lot tougher than Herbert.
-
..and that’s precisely why it will happen.
-
I like your thinking here, I think. Go Steelers!
-
Yeah, probably more about the Texans looking like sure one and done than the Chargers excellence. Heck, I fell for it too. Houston just looked finished.
-
There’s pressure at times , but either I’m spoiled by watching Allen or Herbert just can’t handle it .
-
Yup. I mostly see his numbers. Watching an actual game, the eye test says mid.
-
Apparently it’s currently being used as storage facility

Didn’t expect too much from Stroud today, but very disappointed in Herbert. Haven’t seen many Chargers games previously , but he looks very overrated to me.
-
Agree. It’s now too important, due to the NFL changing the playoff format -all in the name of vulgarian greed.
-
Used to be almost the same for the 2 seed. Thanks NFL for turning all but the 1 into a wildcard team.
-
Houston rallying as a home dog, only to be led to slaughter next weekend. Yaaawwwn.
-
I disagree . He’s had time on many pass plays , esp in first quarter. Very slow to release and passes were broken up. Weak deep passes too.
-
Yup. Chargers had good situations in first half and Herbert did jack squat with them. He’s holding the ball forever and his deep throws have been weak. No plays using his legs. All around crap game by him.

Which team are you most scared of in the playoffs?
Boatdrinks replied to margolbe's topic in The Stadium Wall
None. Josh Allen can lead this team to victory vs any of them. -
I think Joe Brady will have a good game plan for this one- has probably been working on it for a couple weeks as Denver was our most likely opponent and he already had some Miami stuff. Samuel will get some use as they’ll focus on Cooper. Not a ton, as the scheme will continue the everyone eats philosophy. Allen runs will return to the forefront as they’ve been under wraps the last few weeks and much of the season. My guess is those are reserved mostly for playoffs these days. Should be interesting.

Heard him on GR yesterday. It was a little odd. He said he thinks Buffalo wins, but he doesn’t love the matchup for the Bills and Denver has a shot to pull an upset.
-
Vegas stadium should be available , or Arizona .

It’s been exactly the issue. How do those drives continue ? The lack of a guy that makes a play when needed - i.e third down. It doesn’t have to be a Josh Allen level player ( there just aren’t many of those) but they don’t have a stud on D that changes a game. Now, Allen is so good that the team could go to the Bowl without that impact defender. If not they need that guy quick. They don’t have a couple seasons to wait on development and see if the guy pans out.

I believe it was 77 seconds , but yeah that was a crazy game. We all sat on our hands for the better part of four quarters The defense couldn’t stop anything that day , then came alive after a blocked kick that Bennett returned for a TD.
-
Cool. Reinforcement for a potential matchup with the ravens?
-
I’m not surprised as we’ve seen this before. Fans only have so much $ to spend, and the divisional opponent will probably be a higher profile team than Denver. Many ticket holders are likely financing their tickets by selling the first round. Heck, even during the SB years a wildcard game was a tough sell. The lower prices will likely bring a younger, loud and rowdy crowd and that’s not a bad thing. Forcing a 2 seed to play a WC game has ( mostly) led to this. Isn’t the issue with punts not KO’s Anyway, Denver could kick off short and force BUF to field them if they want to.
-
Hopefully the game doesn’t go in a manner like you described. If it did , however I would be shocked if it didn’t result in big changes. Maybe McD stays, but a major change on the defensive side of the ball. You’re making a huge assumption regarding Pegula and what his thoughts on the matter are. None of us know for sure. Standing pat would be very surprising imo.

Great news. Hope all is well with him and this personal matter.
