  1. Way too reasonable of a take there pal. We should have hired Andy Reid for the position.
  2. Maybe, though they have made quite a few changes in the Coach dept. of course, it’s Hockey so a completely different thing. We don’t know what Pegulas tolerance level is because the expectations are probably different. Bills have a superstar QB., the Sabres have no such player.
  3. Blah blah blah. Look, McDermott isn’t getting fired until Pegula wants to fire him. Simple as that.
  4. HOF has been a joke for some time now. Another thing the NFL has ruined in recent years.
  5. Wow , great post . Incredible that Veach was on the Bills short list of GMs when they were hiring years back. Also incredible that the Bills could have drafted Mahomes instead of trading the pick. How different things could have been. Yeah there’s no reason to think it won’t continue so it’s best just to become a Chiefs fan and sit back in amazement at their accomplishments. Bills fans will just have to wait until they draft their next QB after Allen and Mahomes are retired. Then maybe they’ll have a chance at a SuperBowl. It’s just bad timing and you’ll be best off following the Chiefs for the next 10 years or so.
  6. Seemed to be about the going rate : a friend from work went and he paid $500 outside before game. Bought from Dallas fans lol. Fwiw, $500 at the time is worth around $1,060 in todays dollars. $500 sure would have seemed like a lot at the time, but that $1,060 couldn’t get close to even a nosebleed ticket for a Super Bowl today.
  7. Yep. It was a silly call by McD to be sure, but led to only a little time off the clock and the Bills ultimately getting the ball at the 20. Not really a factor in the game, as there was plenty of time left for the Bills offense at the end. They just failed to execute drives/ score a couple times in the game and that was the difference.
  8. Have to beat who’s in front of you. Eventually you’ll have to play the Chiefs anyway, even if you’re the 1 seed Ravens. There’s no magic ticket, and the 1 seed is practically unattainable in the AFC with the Chiefs in the AFC West. They’ve got an easy path every year. Hated the rule change with only 1 bye like everyone else, but good luck hoping for a 1 seed AND a Super Bowl berth. It could happen, but probably would take a major injury on the KC side for it to happen.
  9. Sure, but guess what ? It’s not changing back. The fact is only one team gets the bye. That’s a tough ask, and it obviously doesn’t mean the 1 seed will make the Super Bowl every year. Yes, this is the first year KC has reached the bowl without it - it’s also the only year they didn’t have it. The Bengals got there without it. They had a great chance to do it again with a late drive last season. The Ravens had it twice and lost both times. The # 1 seed would be a nice benefit , but it’s not a necessity. A perfect regular season simply isn’t required to reach the already difficult goal of a Super Bowl. This take is closest to the truth. The playoff games are usually close, and a few plays here and there are often the difference. The Bills have a pretty solid D and run a good system. They don’t have a lot of stars that make game changing plays vs top competition. They can’t afford to have their best players sidelined with injuries and haven’t been lucky in this regard. They need some better players on defense and probably another top WR.
  10. Didn’t see much of last years game but I’d say it’s been many years. Probably close to a decade. Definitely some good ones then. Longer ago than I thought, but you’re probably right.
  11. Lots of worrying about the 1 seed. It didn’t help the Ravens much. The Bills got KC in Orchard Park for the playoffs and still lost. San Francisco made it as the 1 seed, but they were on the ropes at 24-7 vs the Lions. The Bills don’t need to have a perfect regular season to make the Super Bowl. They don’t need some magic formula. They just need a bit of good luck with injuries and to be better than their opponents on the day they play them in the postseason. They haven’t done it thus far, and that’s about it.
  12. Might be absolutely correct on Von’s performance. However, the Bills and McDermott have no choice but to keep Miller unless he’s suspended by the NFL. He’s not a cut candidate until after the ‘24 season.
  13. Shouldn’t it say 31 years ago? Tasker retired after ‘97 season iirc.
  14. Don’t care; the odds say it won’t. I don’t spend time thinking about it. Seems like a thread for FilthyBeast or a Chiefs board. Follow Mahomes if you want.
  15. It’s always closing from the first year of being an established SB contending QB. Incrementally to be sure, but it’s closing.
  16. Yawn … we’ll see in about 14 more years.
  17. No. The Bills had their chance and failed. Not a colossal blunder like 0:13, just plain old failure to execute. This version of KC is evenly matched with this years Bills, just took advantage of their opportunity. The game could easily have went either way in the final minutes. Thirteen seconds should just never happen.. ever.
  18. I’m sure they would have been fine with Allen finally getting to the big show. NFL really didn’t need to have any “ fix” in for Lamar. He just doesn’t get it done in the playoffs because he’s easier to defend. There’s definitely a blueprint out for stopping Jackson that has been effective almost every time.
  19. Maybe it is. I mean, the receiving corps and the DL ( supposedly talented areas of the roster) didn’t exactly get it done vs KC.
  20. Definitely early. However, that trade could end up as the bane of his coaching existence. Imagine having a QB the caliber of Allen, with one roadblock in the way virtually every year - and you helped put it there !
  21. Nah, it’s still kind of early for all that. Manning was in what, his 9th season when he notched his first AFCCG win vs NE ? His other SB win was very late in his career, though he did defeat NE again en route.
  22. More than likely. Some bad luck involved , but never trade with an in-Conference team that’s QB shopping. At least when you don’t have one of your own.
  23. I’m not all that familiar with Campbell, but from the little I’ve seen he can be aggressive to a fault. His team seems to respond to his overall energy, but not taking points to build a lead costs him.
