  1. Best K in Bills history. Yes, it’s too bad he wasn’t on the team in 1990.
  2. I think he can continue to improve, but it depends on the overall picture at season’s end. If I had to conjure a guess, the Bills ( and most NFL teams) wouldn’t move on until after year 3 for a high draft pick QB. Barring a major decline, he’s here for 2020 season. Short of signing a proven NFL QB, they will go with that possibility over a rookie .They have a lot of cap room and another draft to add to the currently incomplete offense. A top WR, OT and possibly even TE should be added. If Allen flounders with a solid group of weapons around him, they will move on. I could be wrong of course. They could draft a QB in the next draft or even sign a FA. Just my best guess about what they will do.
  3. I don’t appreciate the name calling so don’t stoop to that level. If you can’t have a civil discussion then move on.
  4. Lol you must watch CNN religiously. He took advantage of a few unfortunate incidents to advance an anti cop anti Caucasian agenda, Even wearing socks depicting cartoon pigs in police uniforms. Yes, he disrespected Police and is supportive of criminals including some who have killed police. He’s a mediocre ballplayer and basically pond scum. Glad you think he’s a great guy, but I can’t agree with you.
  5. Actually, I just watched the Chiefs do a variation of what you described Vs TEN and it worked like a charm. Didn’t seem like anything Allen couldn’t do either. They used motion to draw a defender to the right side of the field , leaving the left side wide open. Hill ran a corner route to the open ( left) side. Perfect, and uncoverable according to Romo. One read, two second throw. Another WR was open in the middle of the EZ, but looked like Mahomes knew he was throwing the corner the whole time. There were about 7 mins left in the 3rd quarter. Perfectly designed cover zero beater. Any speed WR could beat that coverage, although obviously Hill is great at it. Would have been an easier completion than the route they tried vs CLE imo
  6. Half seems like a high percentage in this day and age. Can’t assess them with another team vs how they would do here though. Different teams, schemes , situations all are factors. No need to do that as the same could be said for most other teams. Not all drafted players stick with their original teams for various reasons. Some players are late bloomers or need a different system. These things happen; I’m primarily concerned with how the Bills players perform.
  7. It probably takes two or 3 seasons to grade a draft class , so any mid season year one grade is provisional at best. Some good players have started slow out of the gate, and others burst on the scene only to fizzle out in a season or two. So any grading this year should be taken with the proverbial dose of salt. It’s safe to say that none of the Bills draft picks have outperformed their slot with the possible exception of Singletary. Others have flashed while struggling with consistency ( Knox) , and some have simply struggled ( Ford). Seasons end would be a good time to grade McDs first draft (2017) with just 7 regular season games worth of storyline to be written. Hopefully that end doesn’t come in week 17. I strongly disagree. Smith-Schuster would be a main component of the Bills WR Corp right now if they had drafted him.
  8. I’m pretty sure it can be underhand, but it has to be forward. If it’s a lateral or a backwards pitch, then it’s a fumble.
  9. Pure fallacy. Getting too far away from football here, but no right to protest while on the job. Anyway, he’s a mediocre QB and a terrible human.
  10. Bingo. I wouldn’t care if he could play like Mahomes. I still would never root for him. Some things are just more important than football.
  11. If you think’ he’s just like Josh Allen, why bring him in ? What good is an older Allen with no potential to improve ? Pursue other options than Kaep.
  12. Better than what ? The game isn’t until week 16.
  13. Good teams can run the ball even when the defense is expecting it.
  14. Yep, good work and very interesting. It seems that the QB you describe is not a myth, but exists only in the rarified air that all fans want their QB to occupy. There are only a few of these around; some are near the end of their storied careers and a few notable others are off to a great start to take their place. If you win that QB lottery your team can be set for 10-15 years or more ( these days). When it doesn’t happen fans want to bang their fists on the table, calling for firings all around. It’s just a total crapshoot, and fans today only want to wait about a season and a half before moving on to another guy. So what to do ? A GM could probably draft a 1st round QB every year for 5 years and still not end up with one of your 4 truly elite guys. It’s notable that zero NFL teams do this. Fwiw the Bills are probably going to stick with Josh Allen until the end of the 2020 season, though many already want him gone. It appears all us fans can do is be patient, but if you’re waiting for that top 5 elite guy your favorite team might not ever get one.
  15. So you would just draft a QB in the first round every year, give them each about 20 games before moving on to the next guy. Hopefully, you’d get a winning lottery ticket that can do it all out of the gate before being fired. It hasn’t happened yet with Allen and maybe never will, but I’d guess they stick with him until the end of 2020 season. After that, probably big changes again and maybe Beane gets one more shot to find QB gold or it’s a new GM.
  16. So as the Bills OC, how would you scheme plays to minimize those issues while Allen develops ?
  17. If they don’t add significantly to the offense, that will be their demise with the Bills.
  18. Before the season I figured anywhere from 7-10 wins. Still sticking with that projection; this isn’t an 11 win team even with an easy schedule and few injuries. Tasker is nuts.
  19. I said they’re not elite. Still a couple players away from that, but they are legit.
  20. Funny thing is, I doubt many of these fans were clamoring for Jackson . ( I liked him at Louisville and thought he should be a consideration if the team didn’t want to move up). Further, Harbaugh and the Ravens really had to step back and think outside the box with him. I doubt the Bills would have drafted Jackson, but I also don’t think they have the creative side to their coaching for it to succeed. He went to the best situation possible for him, and is thriving as a result. The draft is a crapshoot, but some of it comes down to situation and coaching as well.
  21. No. Where are the inflated offensive stats from the week schedule? Defense has been very consistent regardless of opponent. Pats scored only 16. ( one TD was a return) . TEN seemed able to score on the Chiefs defense, not on the Bills. The Bills D is legit, if not quite elite. Only one game got out of hand ( Eagles) and not until late. Only the W/L record is inflated by the schedule, and it’s because the offense is sub par.
  22. If the Bills lose games to teams they are expected to lose to ( even by fans) , that doesn’t qualify as a collapse to me. How have they proven they are a very good team thus far?
  23. It was a contrast. Good teams won’t be tested by the Bills offense.
  24. Yes, in a nutshell the Bills are half a football team. The defense is above average, and the offense is below. In today’s NFL, it seems better to be strong on offense and weaker on D than the other way around. The game favors offense so much now, that most assets are best spent on that side of the ball. An elite pass rusher and a top CB / cover LB should be the major investments on D. 20 years ago a top D could carry a team.
  25. I’ll never forget it. I hate the Seahawks for that and never root for them.
