  1. Nah, he’s better than Tyrod by miles. It’s really not close; Jackson is an otherworldly athlete. That part of his game may not last as long as his arm, but while he’s the best athlete on the field it will. There’s no figuring that out, he just makes really good athletes look silly out there. Outside the box thinking by the Ravens FO and coaches, and kudos to them. That kind of offense isn’t supposed to work in the NFL, yet here they are fresh off a whipping of the Pats.
  2. Yep. They also had the option of Wilson on a bootleg to the corner. Anyway, the ball should have stayed on the ground from there. I don’t think there would have been a huge outcry if by chance the Pats stopped them on four tries ( unlikely). Collinsworth said it best after the game , dumbfounded at what just happened “ I’m running it there and if they stop you four times from the one then god bless ‘em”. Dumbest playcall in SB history, and it’s not close. Yes, it really is that simple.
  3. They really need offense. The defense isn’t elite, but it’s pretty good. Offensively the team is bottom third of the NFL.
  4. Buffalo’s weather issues and Jacksonville’s problems are completely different things.
  5. Nothing JV about the Steelers team the Bills will be facing in DEC. Backup QB in due to injury, that’s about it. They’ll probably be fighting for their playoff lives to boot. That ‘04 game was full of backups all over the place , and Cowher did everything he could short of forfeit to hand his buddy Mularkey a playoff berth.
  6. Garbage call there
  7. I don’t believe so, I think the league does not want this rule used except in an extreme circumstance in a playoff game. It’s a crap rule, and the games would be a complete cluster if these calls were getting changed. It’s just a failsafe against another New Orleans situation.
  8. John Parry sounded pretty confident the call would stand. The officials have been told not to change these non calls in the regular season. Parry was quoted in the NY post as saying he’s concerned because a call will be changed in the playoffs and fans will wonder why when they haven’t been changing them all year. I think he knows something but obviously isn’t saying so outright.
  9. I doubt they will change this call
  10. Worth a look. They have to fix this down the stretch run. Have to try to stay ahead in the playoff race.
  11. I don’t think so, it was down the right sideline in the 2nd half I think.
  12. Who cares, really ? There wasn’t much talk about the NE Pats in the late 80’s / early 90’s except for what a joke of a franchise they were. If the Bills had beat the Pats there would be a lot more talk.
  13. Still not considered a big star for casual fans around the league. He might be the only guy on D a lot of people could name.
  14. Bills are 6-2 without doing anything exceptionally well. They don’t get lots of sacks, takeaways or have big stars on defense. The offense is lackluster and doesn’t score much. No signature win on the schedule, so while they’re winning they’re still seen as just a team in the league.
  15. GMFB are noted Pats worshippers, and it comes through in most every show. Put on GMFB today wanting to see the aftermath of Pats loss to Ravens, only to find precious little talk of them this AM. It was almost like they were disappointed NE lost. Don’t they realize most fans hate that team and wanted to bask in the glory of the Ravens win this morning ? Total letdown.
  16. Who cares wtf that dill weed has to say ? He’s not even a Bill anymore and he played under a different regime.
  17. Perhaps not. I saw some of the game on Redzone. It’s an unknown , and I’d still rather play the known mediocrity ( being kind ) in Flacco.
  18. It’s mostly about matchup, as the other factors were given preference when the original schedule was made. That’s the whole purpose of flexing games; that the original formula created too many dog matchups. Flexing is a by product of one of the best things about the NFL and sports; its ability to surprise us and produce unexpected outcomes.
  19. Denver doesn’t look so easy now, but maybe after there’s some film on the QB. The game looked much better with Flacco at QB.
  20. Exactly, which is why referenced public opinion. It’s all about evening out the money on both sides, and the line is indicative of public perception.
  21. Bills are 5-3 ATS this season, third best overall in the NFL. The line does seem strange, but it shows that the public isn’t ready to jump on the Bills bandwagon just yet.
  22. It’s not just a QB that can move ( he’s from another planet in that department) but a completely unconventional offense with concepts that aren’t “ supposed to work” in the NFL.
  23. This^ ^ I don’t want this game flexed because I’d like to think the Bills could actually win it.
  24. I’m not certain if I’d take Allen over Lamar, but I’d take Jackson with the Ravens personnel vs Jackson on the Bills.
