  1. They're good. We're better, but they're good. They won't be an easy out. And we all know it.
  2. I went back and forth on Duby. Another guy that deserved mention was Bobby Chandler.
  3. Allen I can buy as #2 behind Kelly, with Kemp third and Fergy 4th. White? He's in there with Byrd, Egerson, James - he's at least in the discussion Poyer and Hyde? Saimes, Tony Greene, Henry Jones - Poyer and Hyde are top 5 Dawkins? Way behind Wolford, Barber, Peters; behind Dave Foley and Fina WRs: You have to have Reed and Moulds in your top two, have to have that, then Lofton, then Jerry Butler who may have been the best of all if he didn't get hurt. Diggs could get into the top three. To suggest Beasley would is laughable. Bass could very well wind up #1 but right now is behind Gogolak, Christie, and others LBs: Edmunds and Milano would have to prove they are better long term than a whole host of guys including, in the middle, Fletcher, Harry Jacobs, Conlan, Haslett, Shane Nelson, eugene Marve. And outside Milano would have to beat out Stratton, John Tracy, Bennett. Talley, Paup, Spikes just to name a few
  4. Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field!
  5. I would put Brown at LT; Dawkins looks like he never really got over his Covid infection. Then put Doyle at RT, Williams at RG, and either Douglas at LG or Move Dawkins inside where he doesn’t have to deal with the speed rushers coining from outside. They won’t start Bates because with Feliciano out he’s the only backup C if Morse gets hurt, and we know Morse is susceptible to concussion. They should cut Ford.
  6. God forgive me but I want the Fish to win.
  7. I think it’s actually pretty simple. Our guys are physically weaker than the guys they play against. You can see it in the run game; they can’t generate enough force to move guys. You see it in pass blocking when guys are getting pushed straight back into Josh. I understand with Dawkins; I don’t think he’s really recovered from Covid. But the other guys? Doesn’t matter what the play call is or how the coach coaches if you get manhandled by the opposing players.
  8. Daboll isn't getting manhandled at the line like our guys are. That said, he needs to accept our line just can't sustain blocks and call plays to minimize that effect.
  9. Dawkins to me isn’t over Covid. The other guys are simply weaker than the guys they play against. Forget scheme, play calls, all that stuff. The interior line gets destroyed because they don’t have the physical strength to compete.
  10. The OP must have been watching a different game. This game was lost up front. We had 5 guys who did not physically hold up. As a unit they did not have the strength to move guys in the run game or keep them off Josh. How may times did guys get pushed straight back the last few weeks. The short term fix is for Daboll to call more really quick passes. The long term fix is for Beane to upgrade the line.
  11. Josh wasn’t good today. He’d be the first one to say that. But the line play was as bad as I’ve ever seen and I’ve been watching since 1960.
  12. They are physically too weak. Dawkins has a reason, the others don’t. Guys are getting pushed straight back way too often.
  13. I think you have to sit Dawkins. It looks to me that he has not really recovered from his bout with Covid. I would give our other rookie T a shot at RT or Douglas and move Williams back inside once Brown comes back. But they have to shake it up; they can’t accept the level of play seen today.
  14. The three losses and the tough game last week show the main problem: our O line simply isn’t strong. And by that I mean actual physical strength. Has nothing to do with blocking schemes (although how Williams lets that guy walk in unblocked the last series is a mystery), coaching, play calling. It is simply that the guys on our O line do not have the physical strength to move guys in the run game not stand up to guys rushing. How many times have we seen guys just get pushed straight back by a D lineman? I think I saw it every passing play this game, at least one lineman got blown up. If your guys are physically weaker than their guys, there’s no quick fix. It’s not like guys like Morse or Ike are going to suddenly get stronger. At this point all you can do is put guys like Bates or the other rookie T in there and hope they can bear up.
  15. It is the O line. Saw it in the season opener. Josh can make up for it most of the time but not today.
  16. They need to get Brown back and put him at LT. Dawkins I think is really not over his Covid issues. Then either put Bates in at RG or C, or move Williams back in at RG and maybe put the Douglas guy they just made active at RT. That whiff on the last pass attempt was as bad a play as I’ve seen in years.
  17. Teams know how to beat us now. They know their D line can overwhelm ours, know we can’t run, so they just take away longer routes and make us make mistakes.
  18. How do you not see the entire right side of the line jump?
  19. We are not going to win the division. Teams know they can just stomp all over our O line now.
  20. Hate to say it but I think the game’s over. We simply do not have it today. Teams know they can destroy our O line and that forces Josh to take risks.
  21. Dawkins again. Get him out of there. He clearly is still suffering from covid effects.
  22. We may have the worst O line in the NFL
